The Yellow Door
Malahide
18/05/2026: I have been coming to this caffeination station for just over 1 year, and from my very first order the staff, hospitality, and experience has led to me coming almost every day (unemployed) - see CV attached below :)
I usually wouldn’t write reviews, but I needed to give a huge thank you to one of the team, I was late coming from a feminist book club gathering and arrived at 3.01 - when I arrived at the Yellow Door, one minute late and dissapointed, I asked if I was too late to revive my usual order, one mocha, almond croissant, and good vibes. Met by Jodie Faith at the counter who kept the Faith Jodie in me to arrive, as I haven’t missed a day since Rein me In was released by Sam Fender told me she saw my car from some distance and said she made my order before I had even arrived to ensure I didn’t have to go coffeeless the entire day. (I drive a bright pink Lamborghini Adventador, so it’s not hard to miss lol). I was taken a back by the initiative taken by JK Rowlfaith, and with the current situation in the world right now, it really made me think there’s some decent eggs still around the place. So thanks again Jodie and the yellow door.
If there’s any coffee, and general social spot in Malahide, that I could reccomend it’s this place, apart from the coffee being my fav in Dublin - the staff and their “all smiles” policy make the experience something I genuinely look forward too each morning.
Huge congratulations to Mark (Bean Specialist), and the rest of the team inside the cappucino capsule who put a smile on my face, and a extra hot skinny late, oat milk in my right palm every day.
03/05/2026: Great food and equally great service. Fairly fast turnaround by patrons for those waiting to sit down. A good place for dogs and kids. Wheelchair accessible. It's quite a happy and vibrant spot. Very much recommended.

19th Supper Club
Donabate
21/05/2026: Very Good - a must play when in the Dublin area with reasonable rates.
12/05/2026: Very nice course, greens in good condition. Played Open on Tuesday, off yellow tees, which is fair for all HCap levels.

Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport, menu
02/06/2026: Stay heare for one night room was nice would stay again
02/06/2026: When I checked in, I asked the receptionist if I could use the gym. She said yes, but she didn’t set up my access card. When I went to the gym, I couldn’t open the door, so I had to go back to the reception and wait in a long queue for about 15 minutes for her to activate the card.
The gym facility was small and not very good.
In the hotel room, I couldn’t adjust the temperature — it was stuck at around 24°C. The water pressure in the shower was also very poor.

21/04/2026: Jaipur is the best Indian restaurant. We tried many, but we keep going back to Jaipur for the past 13 years. Whether we get takeaway or we book a table for a night out, the food is always delicious and the service impeccable.

Premier Inn Dublin Airport hotel
Swords
12/06/2026: The half-board option was good, the room was well-designed, with a proper shower. The only downsides were the lack of luggage space and the absence of bottled water upon arrival. The restaurant was good; we were pleasantly surprised. It's very close to the airport with a shuttle service available for €3 (as of June 2026) or an Uber.
09/06/2026: This was by far the most disappointing hotel of this trip and one I would not choose to stay at again. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival, despite the hotel being advertised as non-smoking. The rooms are very dated and in need of significant updating. The beds and pillows were also extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The room was also lacking basic amenities that many travelers expect. There was no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker, which made the stay much less convenient than anticipated. On top of that, guests are charged extra for both parking and breakfast, which felt unreasonable given the overall condition and quality of the hotel. The only positive aspect of the stay was the shower, which was clean, modern, and had great water pressure. Overall, this hotel fell far short of expectations. Between the cigarette smell, uncomfortable accommodations, outdated rooms, lack of basic amenities, and additional charges for parking and breakfast, I cannot recommend it and would not return.

The Brick Room Balbriggan
Balbriggan
15/12/2025: Happened to stop in on the way home and was very impressed. Great food at very reasonable prices, and the staff were very friendly.
05/12/2025: Best pizza in Balbriggan area by a country mile.
It’s the only place that uses fresh ingredients, and the customer service and delivery is second to none.

Matt Ryan Bar
Malahide
13/06/2026: Stayed our last night to be close to airport and wish we had stayed more nights. We booked the family room which was huge with the greatest sea view. Shower and amenities were great and we had a small fridge. The breakfast was included in our rate and was wonderful! We also enjoyed the short walk into the village and visiting the castle and gardens. This would be a great base for those looking to have access to Dublin (20 minutes on DART) but also being outside of city close to airport, golf and other sites.
11/06/2026: Very nice hotel! Enjoyed our stay immensely!

Siam Thai
Malahide
03/06/2026: Very very very bad food. Tooooo expensive..
23/05/2026: Myself and my partner went for a meal this evening started off with the share combo for one each meat was good until we then came across muck in the leaves of our salad gave to the waiter she apologised and offered a drink on the house but we refused as we weren’t drinking and I am pregnant they then offered a dessert. Our mains then came out the duck was burnt and beef overcooked in curry. We gave up eating and weren’t feeling the dessert as we were very unsatisfied with starter and main. We asked for the bill and the waiter then cleared the table spilling curry sauce on my partners white runners. She did apologise but we were very disappointed with our full dining experience and can’t justify the meal for the price we payed. I wouldn’t recommend

The Bare Acre Farm Shop
Loughshinny
02/11/2025: We just left with our family and our granddaughter, and we absolutely loved the experience on this farm! The coffee and cakes were delicious. We live in Skerries and will definitely be your customers from now on. Congratulations on the great care and attention you give to your customers! ☕🍰🌿Agatha was Lovely
02/11/2025: Just wanted to share my experience at Bare Acre Farm shop. Back at the start of the summer I was on my way to visit my mother in a nearby nursing home on a lovely Sunday morning. She likes a coffee so I stopped at Bare Acre Farm (1st time there as I didn't normally pass the farm on route) Dave served me and asked me what was i planning for the day and I told him I was on the way to visit my Mum in the Nursing home. As I was leaving he gave me a bunch of flowers to give to my Mum from him and his family. Dave never met me or my mum before...it was just such a lovely thing to do. I now call regularly to Bare Acre Farm... the coffee is great as is all the food and produce but people are what make it. Thanks you.

26/08/2025: Excellent pastries, cappuccino good. A bit too small inside and far too cold with the aircon running at only 12°C outside
