The best restaurants in Galway

01/06/2025: We were disappointed with several aspects of our stay at Slieve Aughty Centre: 1. Lack of professionalism: My girlfriend was hosting a women’s group activity (12 participants) and had specifically requested a curtain for the room used during the sessions. Despite repeated reminders and being assured it would be arranged, nothing was done. As a last-minute solution, a staff member tried to cover the window with a black rain jacket, which was neither appropriate nor professional. 2. Shower Issues: The hot water in our cabin ran out quickly, making it difficult to take a proper shower. 3. Overpriced Dinner: On Saturday evening, we stayed for dinner and were offered lasagna. No menu or price was provided, and we were later charged €70 for two portions, which felt unreasonable. We were not informed of the cost beforehand. 4. Breakfast Miscommunication: Our booking clearly included breakfast, yet the owner tried to charge us for it. Only after we showed the confirmation email was the charge removed. Beautiful surroundings, but the lack of transparency and professionalism made our stay disappointing.

22/02/2025: My daughter attends riding here, it's our favourite Saturday routine. The instructors are amazing, and we love the cafe. We finish the day off with a walk in the woods...stunning!

02/08/2026: Best food in Portumna. Fabulous steaks,excellent duck. Friendly and welcoming staff.

23/06/2025: We had a wonderful meal of steak and sea bass, beautifully prepared and presented. Anne shows great attention to detail, and we'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

19/03/2024: So disappointed with afternoon tea here over the weekend The top tier had a few nice offerings The scones next were not freshly made that day for sure and the worst part was the bottom tier with no sign of a sandwich??It had a tiny roll and a mini brown bread and all the fillings were paste &pureed like baby food.Teas and coffees especially were cold too.This was possibly the worst Afternoon tea I’ve ever had. I actually feel done by with this offering for any price not mind €60. I must say Staff was very polite and pleasant
