15/09/2026: Stopped here for a spot of lunch on a busy Saturday. Our food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. This was my first time having Irish stew and it did not disappoint!! The flavour was rich and you could tell it was good quality ingredients. Meat wasn’t too chewy and practically melted in the mouth. My partner had a burger and fries which he really enjoyed. I also loved dipping a few of his fries into my stew!! Would come again :)

18/09/2026: One of our absolute highlights in Doolin! The food was truly outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. You can tell they place a high value on quality. We enjoyed our first evening so much that we came back the very next day. We were equally impressed on our second visit. Add to that the very friendly service and the cozy, pleasant atmosphere. Definitely one of the best meals we had on our trip and a clear recommendation.

15/09/2026: Went here for our anniversary dinner, Vladimir made sure we had the best night ever! All of the food was phenomenal, the duck rolls and the lamb were divine. Would come back to Ireland again just for this restaurant.

30/05/2026: There’s a reason why this is a 5 Star resort and they earn every day. The service was impeccable, staff were friendly and helpful, grounds were glorious and the room was spacious. We did the falconry class which was an amazing experience while being educational. I didn’t get to golf, but the course looked breathtaking. The location is a little remote, but the food and drinks on property were spot on!

14/05/2026: Colette and the entire team at Monks were kind, welcoming, and friendly. The hotel appeared updated and was comfortable. The restaurant served a great fish pie and some delicious salty oysters.

25/09/2026: An unforgettable experience in Doolin! The food is perfect, far superior to "great French restaurants," the desserts are excellent, and the service is lovely. Perfect!

25/09/2026: A place in the small village of Doolin very cute and welcoming. We had soup of the day and fish and chips: both delicious. Very friendly staff, especially Ines (a Portuguese girl), who was very sweet. I highly recommend it.

13/08/2026: We spent a little over a week touring London, Inverness, Dublin and Sixmilebridge on a family trip. During the entire trip, the best meal we had was at The Abbey Tavern…by a large margin…and our second best meal was at The Abbey Tavern. Incredible food, excellent, friendly service and even reasonably priced. Save room for dessert…they are fantastic. Real authentic Irish Tavern. If I had a complaint, it’s that the kitchen closes at 6:00 pm, so we couldn’t go there a third and fourth time for dinner. But, if you eat a late lunch there, you probably won’t need dinner. Go, to see Quinn Abbey, then stay for lunch at The Abbey Tavern.

21/06/2026: In Vaughans in liscannor today for dinner the staff are lovely the food was okay, The Guinness tap not working right cooler gone ,the other drinks not great either, very disappointed with it, went to the pub next door for a drink,such a difference with the drink,

09/09/2026: You absolutely must make a reservations. This place is so popular because the food is outstanding and if there’s any type of event or special festival going on, you will not get a table without a reservation. We went four times in the five days we were there. Two times for dinner and two times for drinks because we did not make reservations in time for dinner. The oysters with the lime-chili mignonette were amazing and the featherblade of beef special was once of the best dishes I’ve had in years. The fish and chips were outstanding also. Huge portion. Highly recommend going. I listed that we did not wait for a table because we had reservations. That Reservations you probably will not get a seat that night because they don’t serve very late. But stay for the drinks and ambience.

17/09/2026: Highly recommended pub in our opinion. Without a reservation, we waited a little while. Eventually, we shared a table with a young Italian couple (my wife also speaks Italian). Near our table, some regulars were celebrating a family reunion. In this festive, musical atmosphere, we chatted pleasantly and enjoyed our dinner. Our evening was a success.

17/09/2026: Absolutely the best lamb I have ever had. The chips were awesome as well. The girls loved thier burgers too. Both later wished they had ordered the fall off the bone lamb.

10/09/2026: After a long journey to Ireland, this was our first stop, and we were so thrilled to find delicious food, great and friendly service, and above all, that unique, authentic Irish atmosphere at Half Barrel. If it weren't so far away, we would definitely be regulars :-)

05/09/2026: Very friendly local pub serving excellent food. Staff were more than willing to adapt the menu to accommodate dietary needs. Absolutely no problem and all with a big smile and superb service. Great recommendation from our Airbnb host nearby.

11/06/2026: Stayed here for 2 nights and couldnt be happier with picking this place. We were debating between a few options and am so glad we went with this B&B. The town is just large enough to have a bit of anything you are looking for, but small enough that it has quite the charm, is easy to walk to every store, and is quiet in the nights. The B&B room was fantastic with a very comfy bed and the rooms also came with complementary water bottles. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning. Shauna was very personable and gave us tips for our adventures including which way to drive to experience other activities and what to do to make the most of our want-to-do list. The only challenge was the parking lot, which is immediately to the left to the lodge. It's very small with one way in and out, and it's difficult to see incoming traffic when leaving. However despite this all, we didn't run into any problems. Sheena also offered that if we ever came back and didn't see any spots to let her know and she would move her car, as well as offered an alternative nearby option to park our car. Thrilled with our entire experience here.

11/06/2026: What a great place!! We spent a couple of days here. Everyone from the start were so friendly, casual, cool, yet efficient and on it! Great food, great service and a great pint of Guinness. Off street parking at the back, accessed down the left side of the building and room for maybe 9 or 10 cars. Shauna and team were a delight! We'll see you guys again!! Five stars all day long ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
