03/07/2025: 7 of us visited at lunchtime yesterday, excellent food and service, staff very friendly. We had a great tasty time! Yum yum, highly recommended by all 7 of us!

25/06/2025: After landing in Shannon, we had our first evening meal at Henry's Bistro & Wine Bar. We were served two kinds of bread while we ordered our starters. Thr Seafood Chowder as a big hit! Others in our group enjoyed the Slow Cooked Pork Belly. The Tiger Prawns were also delicious! Our entrees included the Pan Roasted Salmon and the Surf-n-turf. The Free Range Chicken was also very good. Try Henry's Bistro &Wine Bar. You will not be disappointed!

15/07/2025: Great good and service here, stopped along the way after touring Cliffs of Moher and was not disappointed. The chowder, nachos, and Irish stew were hearty and delicious. We also ordered some homemade bread to dip the sauces. Lots of parking on the side and on the premise. I recommend this place if you are stopping by Doolin.

17/07/2025: C’est bon mais pas non plus excellent, la quantité est plus que limite le plat de crabe avec 8 « demie pine » baignant dans la sauce à 29€ c’est clairement abuser. Note pour plus tard ne pas revenir

06/07/2025: With high expectations, we entered Ivy Cottage at 5:30 and were immediately told we needed to be gone by 7:15. After being seated, we were told we needed to be gone by 7:00, an inauspicious greeting at best. Things worsened. There was a delay in our drink order…then a no-show server, who blamed us for the delay, saying we told him others were joining us. Strange and unlikely logic as we asked for a table for two. After sharing our concerns, the server became downright rude, explaining that if we ordered two side dishes, we must pay for both. Tell us something we don’t know. Perhaps make suggestions, offer appetizers… He was obviously angry and sulky, all because of his own mistake. We prepared to pay for our drinks and leave as we had little time left to eat, but the maitre d urged us to stay and “let me feed you.” We did stay. Though the rude server disappeared, service remained spotty. We had to flag down another server to order bread to accompany a fresh though underdressed salad. My lentil pie was hot but underseasoned; my partner’s halibut was perfectly cooked and topped with an interesting sauce replete with caviar. Other reviews speak of this restaurant as a wonderful place. I hope you find that true. We did not.

16/07/2025: Absolutely fabulous food and great service, myself my partner and our two year old were greeted with such happiness, they took time to come and say hi to our child and get him some colours and a copy, i will 100% be coming back.

04/07/2025: The Riverside Bistro, within walking distance of Doolin accommodations, provided the perfect dining experience for a rainy night. Owner Alex, who’s served up seafood and other nutritious local food for 13 years, warmly greeted us and made room for our rain gear. I went with a hearty crock of vegetable soup, accompanied by toasted buttery soda bread and a goat cheese salad with mixed greens and grated carrots. My partner opted for a delicious seafood pasta, brimming with mussels, salmon, and shrimp. We found a nice Shiraz on the wine list and let the experience take us back to the cliffs we’ve walked on and today’s crashing waves. Though the dessert list was memorable, with cheesecake and berry pie and other sweets, we didn’t have room but will return again!!!!

30/06/2025: Well presented restaurant, friendly staff ( family run) nice seafood, great ribs and a very nice wine list, all at affordable prices , coupled with friendly and efficient service.

18/07/2025: Knox's Pub in Ennis is an absolute gem! The service is top notch staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is fantastic, buzzing with energy and that authentic Irish pub charm, complete with exposed stone and wooden beams. The Guinness is poured to perfection, creamy and smooth, easily one of the best pints in town. As a GAA fan, I loved catching the Tyrone game (We lost 😢). Perfect for soaking up the excitement with locals and visitors alike. The traditional Irish music sessions are a highlight, with talented musicians creating a lively vibe that gets everyone tapping their feet. And the food? Delicious! From hearty beef and Guinness stew to fresh seafood chowder, every dish was packed with flavor and made with local ingredients. Whether you're here for a pint, a meal, or the craic, Knox's delivers an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to return

16/07/2025: The chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing!!! The chicken bacon carbonara was really not good, don’t recommend. The wait staff was very pleasant and Sam was very nice! We had a reservation for 9 and sadly got seated upstairs and couldn’t be moved to see the live music. So if you’d like a spot downstairs I recommend asking when you place your reservation, as it takes a lot longer to get your stuff because they don’t open the upstairs bar (poor wait staff) Half of the cocktails we got were good, other half were not. Taco fries are pretty good!

10/07/2025: A shout out to Hilary and the staff. The food was excellent and the staff were even better. We had fish and chips, bacon and cabbage (with great Irish mashed potatoes) and vegetable curry. All of us would recommend what we ordered. A lovely place to go with beautiful framed photos and art work. If you like Irish heroes and/or Greyhounds then this is the place for you. A great traditional pub. Thank you, Hilary, for making me feel at home. You are the best and I will come see you again.

06/07/2025: I was expecting something really special here, it had all the charm, and I’d heard some good reviews. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. It was a bit of a squeeze, despite the restaurant being nearly empty as it was at the beginning of lunch service. They put us at a small table at the back of the restaurant, two of which had been added when they shouldn’t have been as there wasn’t room for them. The menu was quite good and prices reasonable, so we were pleasantly surprised, but when the food came, the chowder was only okay, but the disappointment came with the chips/fries my husband had with his chicken Kiev. They were poor quality, but the oil obviously had to be changed. Overall, I probably set my expectations too high for this place.

04/05/2025: Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room was rather old-fashioned but it fit well with the charm of the hotel. The bathroom was very large and everything was clean. The staff was super friendly. From reception to breakfast, everything was very accommodating. The place was also very idyllic, it was a 5 minute walk to Bunratty Castle.

26/06/2025: We had a great dinner! Our server war super friendly and helpful! We shared the mussels as a starter - just delicious! As a main we had the fish pie and the grilled salmon, both very good! Recommend going there!

22/06/2025: Busy spot, but the minute you taste the food you know why, absolutely gorgeous food, really lovely wait staff and lovely atmosphere.

28/06/2025: I dined here at the weekend and had the best experience. The staff are fantastic; very, very professional and welcoming. The decor is nice and modern, and the food is without a doubt Michelin star worthy, more than worthy, as you can see from the pictures. Well worth a visit here. My only gripe was the cocktails, they were not traditionally made.. for example the whiskey sour was missing bitters and the old fashioned was fizzy. I have never had a fizzy old fashioned, and I would not have ordered it had I known it would be carbonated. The drinks menu should reflect what cocktails you have on offer, in addition to your own spin on drinks. However, still 5 stars, I had a lovely time here.

27/06/2025: I never expected to eat so well behind that facade. We stopped by by chance after visiting the cliffs, and the food was spectacular. Don't expect a typical pub... this is a high-end restaurant... Enjoy!
