24/10/2025: We were at BANG Restaurant for a wedding and had the most wonderful experience. The setting was absolutely gorgeous — elegant yet relaxed, perfect for such a special occasion. The food was exceptional and so beautifully presented! I'll be thinking about that fillet steak for a long time. A huge thank you to Dom and Claudia, who looked after us so well all day — friendly, attentive, and so warm! And a special mention to Carmel, our host, who was so welcoming and ensured everything ran seamlessly. Together they made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend BANG for any celebration or a truly memorable dining experience☺️

19/10/2025: Where to begin? We had the pleasure of having dinner with Daniel last night. I say with, because this is the only restaurant I know where you get to discuss in detail, every dish on menu with the chef and owner at your table, and share a glass of wine. There were 4 of us last night and everything that we ordered was prepared with passion and perfection. What a great night with a true gent. Thanks to Daniel and Carl for taking the time to create a one-off dining experience. In a world where everything feels rushed, this was relaxed, perfectly executed and personal. John

19/10/2025: You can tell how much time Daniel puts into selecting the dishes and ingredients. The food is fabulous. Even though the food is excellent, be sure to save room for a delicious dessert. The wine list also deserves a special mention. It features a wide variety of wines from many corners of the world. Daniel can also provide excellent advice here. Needless to say, it's well worth visiting Daniel at his restaurant.

18/10/2025: We stayed at The Schoolhouse Hotel in Dublin for our last night in Ireland, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted by Lorena, who was so welcoming and helpful. We had arrived early, and to our delight, our room was already ready — such a lovely surprise! The hotel had a homey, comfortable feel, with a nicely appointed room and a very comfortable bed, making it the ideal place to unwind before our early flight the next morning. We also dined at the Schoolhouse Bistro, which was wonderfully convenient and truly exceptional. The space was dark, cozy, and full of charm, and the food was outstanding — both the dry-aged steak and chicken fillet “en croute” were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were top notch, and the service was second to none. A special thank you to Iliana, Germano, Erick, and Lucag for making the evening so memorable with their warmth and professionalism. The entire experience was a perfect finale to our trip — highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant! 🇮🇪✨

17/10/2025: Out for a business lunch with a colleague at the restaurant. The restaurant is quite welcoming and when we walked in at 12.30PM, the place was empty. It took another 15-20min for every table to be occupied. We ordered a Caesar Salad with Chicken, and a Pulled Chicken Sandwich. The food came quickly and the taste was quite good. The place is definitely worth a visit.

06/11/2025: Visiting from NJ. Friends that live in Ireland took us here. What a cool place. Its what I always envisioned an Irish Pub to be like. Great pint of Guinness. Bartender was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place to stop in for a pint and good fun conversation

04/11/2025: Off the beaten path but very much a wonderful pub. Excellent coddle and one of the best Guinness pours near Dublin. Hopefully this stays as a hidden gem and doesn't become ridden with tourists like The Cobblestone has become over the past few years. Very much looking forward to our next visit at this lovely pub.

04/10/2025: Wonderful French restaurant. Attention to detail as we had coffee across the street and could see them cleaning the lampshades! Food fantastic asked for a side green salad received a huge salad with lots of green beans and broccollini. Main - Venison Shank with Blackberry sauce, Dauphin potatoes, dessert Banoffee pie and Raspberry Chocolate Mousse, a bottle if white and 2 glasses each of Armanaq. Worth every penny. Returning for dinner!

11/10/2025: The restaurant was empty, late afternoon and we were given a table at the front of the restaurant by a window, only to be told that someone coming in later wanted that table and would we mind moving. No problem, but we were then seated outside the toilet and tbh we were both hungry and just wanted a nice simple light dinner. My partner order risotto and I order their hamburger and fries. Neither of us could finish our food. The risotto was as bland as you can imagine, and I assume it was precooked as it was served up in a matter of ten or 15 minutes. Some dried onion sprinkled on top. It was the worst risotto we have ever tasted. My burger was dry, tasteless and definitely not fresh off the grill, and the frozen fries were also bland and unappetising. The bruschetta was laughable- slices of toast with some halved cherry tomatoes on top with a splash of oil. Service was so-so, but honestly they’d need to try much harder and get back to basics of good simple food to win my vote. As for Italian, there was little evidence of that.

17/10/2025: Visiting from the states and popped in for a late lunch. Absolutely the best meal I’ve had out in years. I’ve worked in the industry and fine dining most of my adult life. This was top tier food, laid back atmosphere, and delightful service. You’re crazy if you don’t check this place out. The seabass, the risotto, the banana ice cream- all perfect.

06/10/2025: Excellent culinary experience. The menu is creative, brilliantly executed and beautifully presented. I loved the diverse mix of flavors and textures. The courses were uniformly excellent, so it’s hard to single out winners but…I absolutely loved the cabbage tower, Coolatin cheddar custard, haddock tartlet and chocolate cremeux/blackberry sorbet dessert. I also appreciated a more measured pacing to the courses which affords a bit more breathing and conversation time between plates compared to some restaurants that seem obsessed with delivering the next course seconds after the previous course is complete. The waitstaff is approachable, personable and always in motion. I can’t recall a time when I’ve seen a higher performing front-of-the-house crew operating at their level of effectivenss or demonstrating such a cooperative, team-oriented attitude. They’re very familiar with the menu and are able to make excellent beverage pairing suggestions. They contribute to the energy in the dining room, which only has about 10 tables for 2-4pp plus a larger 8-person table for larger groups, along with about 8 seats at a shared high top and counter extension (so definitely make a reservation). A casual atmosphere and varied background music complement this Modern Michelin experience. I look forward to returning when I’m next in Dublin. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

28/09/2025: Wow! All I can say is wow. There is actually nothing I can recommend to Bastible because everything was amazing. The service was spot on. Everyone was so willing to help. Now the food is hands down the best. Each dish was different and had incredible presentation. I savored each course.
