08/11/2024: The atmosphere in this place was unlike anything I've experienced in all the pubs I've been to. Upon arrival there were already a few people waiting ahead of us and the place was packed. Definitely a jewel of Oughterard. We were closely followed by more and more people looking for a table, it was madness! But brilliant madness.
The food was amazing. The chowder in particular was unreal. The chicken wings were the biggest I've ever seen. Mutant chicken level.
The beef burger I had was the hottest piece of food I've ever had out of a restaurant kitchen, bravo to the chef!

10/11/2024: Warm welcome nice cosy surroundings and spoilt for choice on whisky.The staff are efficient but not to the point they don't have time to chat. Live music is a must to see. The place has character (and as certificates state) nationally recognised for it. The frontage is well kept and you won't miss it as you walk around the town. Take time go in, sit down and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

30/09/2024: I have wanted to make this a bucket list destination for many years. We had the email reservation acknowledgment and showed it to the hostess. She sat us at the bar and gave us menus. I said no thanks. They then arranged a table (they weren't busy, open tables around us). we got the cold shoulder during service, but I didn't care. I finally got to say I ate there.

17/11/2024: Fairytale venue for my cousin's wedding. Charming, high end hotel with impeccable service, exceptional food and real character. The rooms and common areas are refined and elegant without being stuffy or uncomfortable. Staff was absolutely lovely and made the experience one we won't soon forget. Location is wonderful ...you are kind of secluded, but in a few minutes walk you are in Clifden for shops, pubs, etc. Hope to be back soon!
16/11/2024: What a wonderful jewel in the crown. The staff are so professional, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious, with ample servings (and more should you want some). A family run business (hotel) that's now in its second generation and the family work hard at making sure ALL guests are comfortable and looked after no matter the time of day.

01/11/2024: Very busy but the food was excellent. 2 of us shared 3 starters, chowder, mussels and calamari. Calamari portion could have been a little bigger, but all 3 starters tasted great. Nice atmosphere in the pub and for a weekday, it was busy. Pub is in a lovely location in the heart ♥ of connemara with loads of wonderful places nearby to visit eg kylemore Abbey, Cleggan Harbour, omey Island, inagh valley and clifden 14kms away. Also diamond Hill a d connemara national park.

23/10/2024: It is probably one of the busiest places in the town of Loughrea - but a for a good reason, the food is excellent. I just had sandwich. a risky combination but hell it works. 😊😊
08/10/2024: Mrs. Moore and I visited today. She had the chicken curry and I had the steak sandwich. I can only say that we left 2 very empty plates (we were tempted to lick them but there were too many people around!). I've been to a lot of restaurants around Ireland and the UK but I don't believe that the Weavers Rest steak sandwich can be beaten. It was simply superb! On top of that, staff are wonderfully pleasant, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
