25/12/2024: You come here to drink. Locals and regulars around the bar and are welcoming. Good Irish whiskey and beer are n tap. No food so eat elsewhere.

29/01/2025: We had 2 different types of pizza, they were really, really delicious, couldn’t be any better. The Moretti was also perfect. We would definitely go again .

30/01/2025: At the start of my first stage of the Western Way I stopped here attracted by the incredible atmosphere due to the quartet of musicians who were excellent! I took the opportunity to taste the best fish and chips of my life, obviously washed down with Guinness! Great atmosphere, helpful staff, magnificent setting...I will come back with pleasure!

19/11/2024: Everything deserves 5 out of 5! Free Parking, Immediately looked after when we walked in the door. Food arrived quickly and every single thing tasted Amazing! Staff we met were all really lovely and price was very good too. We will return.

16/02/2025: Give yourself a treat. Brian is a character and made the stay. It was like being in a lifelike version of Scooby Doo 🤣 being told tales of history in the bar to everyone attending dinners at set times. Had such a great time and will be booking again!

11/02/2025: Celebrating my mother's 70th birthday here was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm and attentive staff made us feel welcome and special. Special touches like the complimentary Prosecco reception with a local history talk, followed by beautiful piano music and lively entertainment, elevated the experience beyond compare. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the spa this time, but it's definitely on my list for the next visit! What truly sets Abbeyglen Castle apart is their exceptional hospitality. They go above and beyond to ensure a personalised experience for each guest. Brian, the host, is an absolute gem - his warmth, genuine kindness, and attentiveness made us feel like cherished guests throughout our stay. He even took photos and printed them for us as keepsakes, a thoughtful touch that went above and beyond. In all my years of travel, I've never experienced such genuine hospitality and warmth, apart from the last time we stayed her many years ago for my fathers 60th! Every member of our large family group, from the youngest to the oldest, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

07/01/2025: The ambience and structural character of this multi-faceted space is perfect for my way to travel. I love the old buildings with all of their quirks and quaint spaces. Pack light! There is no elevator! :)

29/12/2024: Great service. I had the beef Shepard’s pie. Unfortunately it was bland and from what I could see was 75% mash on top of a bed of minced beef with a few bits of carrot. No evidence of a stock or herbs from what I could see. I didn’t finish it. Chicken burger looked good but those that had it were unimpressed. For the prices, we expected better but came away disappointed. Fish dishes had mixed reviews. One positive, one fair and one negative.
