18/03/2026: We arrived 8 adults 7 kids and 2 dogs with no reservation. We were seated very comfortably in the courtyard with blankets and hot water bottles provided. Amazing good and service.

14/03/2026: I really don't want to tell you how great this place is, it's hard enough to find a table sometimes as it is. But let's be fair, it's a great craic. Owned and run by lonely locals.

02/03/2026: A pleasant dining room with a fireplace or a view of the moors. Friendly and efficient service. Tasty dishes, generously portioned, at reasonable prices (under €20). Delicious homemade cheesecake for a sweet finish! One of our favorite places during our tour of Ireland.

18/03/2026: We had a deluxe room, which was amazing. Our daughters' room was more basic and rather musty. The whole place was very charming. Food was mid, at least dinner. I might eat in town if I had to do it again. The crowd was definitely older, and that's saying something because I'm 60.

17/03/2026: Attended a wedding on 13th of Feb. One of the best venues I've been at for a wedding. Such a beautiful venue, food was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were gorgeous with incredible views. I'll be back again for a stay!!

21/02/2026: It's just absolutely astonishing how they prepare the food, oh my god, this is just straight up five stars, I promise you you will never be disappointed when you are finished in this establishment because like I said before it's the best food in the world and I am right because I've tried it countless times, I cannot even count how many times I've had this, oh sweet Jesus, and the garlic mayo do not get me started it's simply divine, if you pair that with the Korean chicken burger you are in for a treat, and I will tell you that for free.

20/02/2026: We got catering here for 30 people for a hen party last weekend and couldn’t have been happier. From getting in touch with them, ensuring we had plenty food and the quality of food itself it was 10/10! Will absolutely be ordering from here again and would recommend it for any event!

13/02/2026: A fantastic pub with hospitable and knowledge staff. Worth a visit to the upstairs room with a replica of the Quiet Man cottage. Food was delicious. Well worth a visit.

14/12/2025: The food was delicious, the Chowder was one of the best I've ever had, the beef eye steak was amazing, everything was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic, there are TVs to watch the games and they have a terrace upstairs.

22/12/2025: Love this place! It's always on our list to drop by turning off the motorway! Even post Covid 19 sitting out front or in the rear gardens. Just go once, and you will be back!!!!

17/12/2025: June 2025: A great traditional pub in Leenaun just south of the head of the fjiord; nice pint of Guinness and a half of the Zero too. The food was a tasty fish and chips and the goat cheese parcel with salad. If you are in a Motorhome or camper van you can park overnight opposite in the public carpark for free which comes with a great view over the waters of the fjord.

27/10/2025: A cozy pub/restaurant with a great view. The mussels were fresh and delicious, the seafood chowder creamy and rich, and the crispy buttermilk chicken goujons were also really good.

04/03/2026: Decent food but beware of extra charges on your bill. As a party of two we ordered 2 gin and tonics each only to find at the end of the night we were charged nearly $6 for tonic on each drink on top of the $11 for gin for each drink. Our server never mentioned the extra charge when ordering and was conveniently no where to be found when we went to pay the bill. They do not list prices for standard drinks on the menu so we had no idea it would be this high. Would not recommend based on this experience. Plenty of good pubs in the area that won't rip you off.

01/02/2026: Top class service , when we arrived lady said kitchen had just closed, she went very quickly to kitchen to see could we order & came back promptly & took our order , such friendly staff & food fabulous .

06/03/2026: Very enjoyable place to stay, open fires with comfortable seating. Breakfast staff were extremely friendly and efficient. It is out of town so a car is needed.

05/02/2026: This hotel faces the sea. The two-part dinner was wonderful, with views of the ocean and herd of white horses at sunset! I ordered a seafood main course, which was quite sweet. The bread and butter were delicious. Breakfast was also great.

19/03/2026: Off-street parking. Delicious food, friendly staff, and excellent Americano coffee. We sat in a private booth in a charming pub.

13/03/2026: Little out of the way gem between Claregalway and Galway, near the Rugby Club. Enlarged car park great improvement for stopping.

12/02/2026: Myself and my girlfriend go here when we go up to Galway, food is always excellent, staff friendly, and nice traditional Irish atmosphere, we’ve booked tables in the past but usually there’s no need, went with groups of up to 3 and got seating without booking
