20/05/2026: This place has the best seafood chowder I've ever eaten (and I've eaten tons of chowder in my life). Mussels were fantastic, the service was amazing, and the price was very reasonable. The Google reviews have it right with this spot!

16/05/2026: A pub that's also a great restaurant! I started with a chowder, a soup made with fish, seafood, vegetables, and herbs, thickened with cream. I thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors. The traditional, soft Guinness bread with salted butter was a lovely accompaniment to the appetizers and then the main courses. To continue the delicious experience, I enjoyed a pot of mussels. Admittedly, they were much smaller than the Bouchot mussels I'm used to, which surprised me, but my taste buds were delighted by the flavors imparted by the sauce. It was delicious and very generous. A fruity, semi-dry cider on tap was also much appreciated. And for all this, the value for money is unbeatable, and the staff are always smiling. I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: My boyfriend and I are visiting from the US and went here for dinner and drinks. We had such a kind server and absolute great service. The food was delicious and beautifully presented! We spent some time at the bar afterwards as per our servers recommendation and had a great time. The location is beautiful as well, 10/10 would recommend!

08/05/2026: I ordered the Calamari, it wasnt what I expected, the aioli i wasn't sure what flavour it was in it, the salad was limp with no real flavour, the fries were not house made.

09/06/2026: I went there to try the Irish whiskeys, and my girlfriend ordered the Dulay gin with Fever Tree tonic, the best tonic in my opinion. The prices are reasonable, and the waiter gave excellent advice.

03/05/2026: What an Amazing Pub to have couple of Pints and Amazing Food. We Ordered Mild Chicken Curry with Basmati rice and Naan 😍😍😍😍; Prawns Scampi😍😍 ; Vegan Red Past😍😍; Chicken Goujons😍😍. Every thing was just amazing and mouth watering food. Best was for spice level they gave us Sriracha Sauce and made the best 👌.

14/04/2026: Nice place, typical fisherman's decor. Classic but tasty and very generous portions. The men's toilets outside smell terrible and give a bad first impression. But don't let that put you off. The Guinness Zero is nice and cold 😉

07/06/2026: I had a party off 11 here yesterday evening for a Birthday the food was fantastic and so was the service the staff very friendly and helpful and Zoe was our waitress and brilliant. I would highly recommend this place and I will be back 👌

30/05/2026: Stopped there after a tour in town - seated next to the bar by a server. Same server took our drink and food order. Diff server brought our drinks and we asked for water. Neither one ever came back to our table. There were 5 servers and what appeared to be the manager. Not one person ever came to see if we wanted another drink or brought water. After 45 min I walked up to the bar in plain earshot of the manager and said no one is waiting on us so I’ll just pay for our drinks and got nothing in the way of an explanation or apology- turns out our food order never got put in either. Very disappointed as this was a primary reason we came to Cong.

06/06/2026: Loved our stay here so much we extended it. So relaxing from the moment we arrived. Staff are all excellent warm, attentive but always understated. You feel very well looked after but you are always given space. Everything is spotless, decor is beautiful...a lot of thought and care has gone into it. A relaxing inviting lounge area, a big turf fire, eclectic mix of artwork, and interesting ornaments. A beautiful dining area with views over the sea, and a delicious dinner menu made for the most romantic memorable meal. Our dog was welcomed and we were never made to feel it was an inconvenience. Similarly the place is not overrun by pets and wouldn't disturb others. Can't wait to to go back ...thank you to you all

06/06/2026: Thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay, rooms were fantastic, staff extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, food was 10/10 especially the seafood. Highly recommend and will be staying again. Looking forward to it.

19/05/2026: Our experience was fantastic. Sarah looked after us and made our evening a really lovely one. The service was quick, the atmosphere felt relaxing yet elevated, and the portions were very generous. The food was delicious, and the chef was incredibly accommodating, kindly adjusting the seafood linguine for me by adding more prawns instead of clams. It was such a thoughtful touch. Dining here feels like being transported to a chic restaurant experience right in Gort. Easily the best restaurant in town.

11/06/2026: Very disappointing experience. The food was overpriced, the portions were small and the chowder looked and tasted old. The leaves on the crab salad were also withered, old and tasteless. The wait staff were also slow to seat us, take our order and come over and help, on one occasion because they were too busy chatting. I have had nice meals here in the past but they've gone downhill.

08/06/2026: Cracking stay here. Lovely staff, beautiful location, and amazing food. Beautiful antiques everywhere, plus stunning artwork in rooms and communal areas. Someone has invested a lot of time and effort putting it all together. Obviously a labour of love, fair play. Comfiest bed l have ever slept in btw.
