03/04/2024: Cozy, small restaurant, very tasty food. We were there around two o'clock in the afternoon, there were places, but there was movement all the time - some came, others left. Service was fast and efficient.

05/05/2024: Went for breakfast with my husband, Daughter and Son. My Son and I ordered the omelette, it was not made fresh, it had been microwaved it was inedible. The little that I could eat I vomited it back up in the car park. My Daughter's scrambled eggs were also microwaved. Absolutely horrendous DO NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

The Connacht Hotel - Ruebens Restaurant

28/03/2024: This hotel appears nice when you arrive. Staff are professional and lobby is very nice. As soon as you head to your room you will see garbage In the hallways. Once you arrive in your room you will see that it very dated. Carpets are old and ripping, walls and blinds are stained. I booked a “family room” for our family of 4 specifically which consisted of a double bed, single bed and cot. Room was not set up as described when we arrived. Porter arrived with cot and he set it up. The legs had a hard time staying up be he assured us that they are all like that and to just not move around too much on them? Additionally sheets were stained and remnants of previous guests bathroom toilets were left in the shower and around the sink. Was happy to have Lysol wipes to wipe down the bathroom before use. Laundry is available but good luck getting a machine. Two machines for a hotel this size is not enough.
27/03/2024: This hotel deserves much higher than the 3 star rating..it is spotlessly clean from the warm welcoming reception to the well decorated bar/ restaurant. rooms are spacious and well equipped. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and nothing disappointed, so fresh and good value for money. The pool is lovely and the location suited us perfect . Special mention to the singer in the bar on Tuesday..something for everyone. We throughly enjoyed our mini break and would highly recommend this hotel .

05/05/2024: I would like to thank all the staff at the hotel who made my birthday celebration amazing. Nothing was to much trouble food was amazing staff superb. Al in the bar was wonderful and the lady on reception who booked us in and answered any enquiries we had thank you for everything we will be back.
01/05/2024: We had Such a relaxing stay from the Room, restaurant, lounge, terrace. Views.
Helpful and friendly Staff. It's in a great location everything we needed for a perfect stay away.

29/03/2024: Overall excellent in terms of service, cleanliness, environment and facilities. The quality of the Guinness however was outstanding. The best pint I have had for some time and I checked three of them to make sure the first wasn't my imagination.
23/03/2024: Lobby was very nice and professional which gave high hope for the rooms once check in to the executive suite was very disappointing me and my husband stayed in room 247 and with my husband as a hotel manger he was very shocked it was like the rooms were neglected different handles on bed side compartment couch facing the toilet very little planing and though with into the planing of the room with room 246 very close to other room which was very odd
Over all great staff interaction and just a very mediocre rooms with very little left to the imagination also very disappointing bathrooms as very cramped also stains on the floor and couch bistro looks very nice and the restaurant the ground floor follows the all dark grey and black theme down stairs is well looked after just feel like rooms are neglected , burned socket on wall below tv wallpaper rippled beside tv
For a 4 star hotel it is a very big let down
And I will never return again
