The best restaurantsof irish in Killarney

26/01/2025: Really bad experience! We were repeat customers and had really high hopes.We had booked for a table of 8 almost 2 weeks in advance, we arrived at our allocated time and went up to the host stand to let them know that we were here, we were immediately met with hostility, the manager Mark approached me and said “absolutely not no walk ins reservations only” I let him know we had a reservation and he said “oh yea,how?” I told him I made it online and went to find out booking confirmation, he didn’t even acknowledge what I said and just stormed off, when he came back a few mins later he screamed at my whole party in front of the restaurant “if yere even thinking about having a drink we better have ID”, we were eventually sat down however everyone was uncomfortable and wanted to leave- if we could have guaranteed that we would get a table of 8 in another restaurant we would have left but we couldn’t. The entire time we were being watched by other waitresses to report back to Mark what we were saying and doing. To make the experience worse dogs were left into the restaurant but they didn’t want us there. Olga our server was trying to compensate for her managers rude behavior and she provided wonderful service however this was over shadowed by the feeling of being unwelcome Will not be returning again

30/12/2024: We were in the danny mann for 14 of us and although they were very busy, the manager accommodated us on two separate tables. The food was out of this world and the service was top class. The staff were rushed off their feet as every seat was full. It was a great afternoon and we would highly recommend it.

04/01/2025: Went there twice recently and it's a definite for anyone visiting Killarney. One of the best whiskey collections you could wish to see and the staff and atmosphere were brilliant. You can bottle your own whiskey which is really cool. Didn't have food just drinks but the food looked excellent as well.

17/12/2024: We had a lovely dinner before the Christmas Carols concert in St Mary's Cathedral! Staff were great and attentive!

29/01/2025: Stayed 2 nights a group of 13, fabulous hotel, convenient to everything as in Town,bus and train station across road, lovely cosy super comfy hotel,food excellent and staff excellent, 👌,could not do enough for customers ,and of course Mike who provides entertainment,and creates super atmosphere

14/12/2024: In killarney for 2 nights. We ate here with friends on the first night and returned the second. Beautiful food and having the option of ordering starter main or ordering a few tapas dishes. All 6 were delighted with the food and service the first night, and we were delighted the second night when they fitted us in with no reservations. Friendly staff, beautiful restaurant and the food is top class.

24/01/2025: We had the privilege of staying at Murphys and fell in love not only with the charming town, the hotel, the bar, but especially the people! Everyone who works here are fun and kind! Mary and Mark especially made the extra effort to make our stay an amazing time. Despite the live music on weekends, our room was quiet and very large! The room was also extremely clean with a comfy bed and the hotel itself is a perfect location for walking around Killarney. It’s also only a short walk to Killarney house and an easy leisurely walk to the beautiful Killarney National Park. Lastly, the fish and chips and apple pie were delicious, must order with a side of Guinness of course. Great breakfast as well! Thank you Murphys! We can’t wait to be back. Your kindness and authenticity was a breath of fresh air! Love to you all - Sydney and Deven Benson

12/02/2025: Best seafood in town. Loved the service and vibe. Worth a stop if you want seafood. My husband loved the fish and chips. I enjoyed the seafood chowder, mussels and the warm tarragon buttered oysters.

04/01/2025: 5.50e again for Guinness with a barman with attitude. Pay before you get your pint. I don't think so. I made him wait. Poor taste not chilled Guinness. Avoid.

25/01/2025: Kayne’s is one of our favourite restaurants. We come here all the time and the food never disappoints. We also love the choice as there are meals to suit anyone’s taste. The menu is big with specials every day. The severs are lovely too. Highly recommend!!!!

01/12/2024: Food was horrible chicken wings don’t come with blue cheese sauce as ADVERTISED on there menu. Chicken wings were obviously microwaved. Mash tasted like gone off milk. It was also obvious as well the beef was microwaved as it was black and you’d need a steak knife to cut it. Our server had black hair and could so with an attitude adjustment. She even asked for a tip….laughable. Definitely won’t be returning.

25/01/2025: Was in this bar over Christmas. The way a member of our group was treated by the manager of the bar was shocking even their own staff were disgusted with his behaviour. I would be happy to discuss this with any other management.

15/10/2024: Stopped by this pub for an Irish coffee and a quick bite, and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried their toastie with four kinds of cheese and onion jam—such a delicious twist of flavors. The Irish coffee was spot on too. A perfect combo for a cozy break.
