08/08/2026: I really enjoyed my meal here. The service from the staff is spot on. The choice of food is brilliant, made with fresh tasting ingredients and contrary to another review I read I found the portion size to be very reasonable for the price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a tasty lunch or dinner. It was convenient for us as we could recharge our car at the rapid charge point in the car park whilst refueling ourselves!

04/03/2024: I have visited here on the way to national park. I had a tea and cookie. The staffs are very friendly. The view of the mountain and the golf ground from inside the cafe is stunning 🤩🔥 they have enough items on reasonable price.

05/02/2024: I have been to the Iguanas cafe before going on a route to the National Park. I had a coffee and a scone, which were great and the staff were very friendly. Nice views of the golf course.

26/04/2025: Absolutely disgraceful especially the f+b manager the food and beverage manager. I was going there every day and today I went and they tried to charge me double of what I had I went to reception to ask for manager and the f+b manager kept getting in my face told him that ill speak with the manager that I spoke with before and he said I'm barred from coming there again and I asked why he couldn't give me a reason and then I found out from Mike the manager who I spoke with before that the f+b manager said I didn't pay for something few days before hand so he is making false allegations about me and discriminating me for no reason I'm now taking legal action against him for racism discrimination and false allegations the f+b manager is working in the bar area so please be aware of him I would not recommend anyone to go for coffee tea dinner in the bar are.

05/06/2026: While staying in the Gleneagle, we dined at this restaurant: the prices are higher than the Killarney average, and the service is quite pushy and chaotic (drinks were delivered in a confusing way). The atmosphere is supposed to be halfway between a pub and a Hard Rock Cafe, but it's out of place in its context. The menu is quite varied.

03/09/2026: Very disappointing. When dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant the baseline experience; the food, the service, the ambiance, all should be exceptional. Our dining experience was far from it. When we were seated, the waiter asked our group whether we had any allergies. My wife has a sulfite allergy and mentioned this. It was hard to tell which dishes contained sulfites from the menu, but we noted the inclusion of wine in some of the sauces. When our main courses were brought to the table, each plate was artistically presented. Except my wife’s. She’d ordered the cod dish and that’s what she received: a lump of grilled cod with no decoration, no sauce, just the fish. She also received a dish of disappointing steamed vegetables just like you’d get at a pub. The contrast with the other plates was dramatic. We asked the waiter to go back to the kitchen to ask for a pitcher of sauce. He returned and told us that “everything in the kitchen contains sulfites”. Also, he said, the chef prepares the sauces in advance, so he could/would not provide a sulfite-free alternative. Astonished, we suggested that it would be trivial to make a beurre blanc, without vinegar, but the waiter reiterated his previous comment. We told him to take the dish back to the chef and to bring a replacement with sauce and a dish to the standard of the others. He begrudgingly took the dish away. After everyone had finished their course, he returned, with another lump of cod and the world’s smallest pitcher of an unknown creamy sauce. When I say small, it was Barbie-sized. And the plate was not decorated. Clearly, the chef didn’t give a damn and only paid lip service to the request. We’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants where the meal was so fantastic, we’ve talked about it years later. The Falls Restaurant experience is also memorable, but for all the wrong reasons: the chef’s failure to accommodate a guest’s request, the defensive attitude of the waiters, and the poor resolution without an apology. This could have all been avoided had the chef gone to the effort to provide a dish of comparable quality, presentation, and taste as he did for the rest of the table. I’ll also add that the evening was a birthday celebration. Our friend had asked for specific items to be included. The restaurant did none of these things. Based on the positive reviews, you might think that this is an anomaly because of a picky eater, but you should ask yourself whether the attitude of the chef and staff is really commensurate with a Michelin-starred experience. If you value a memorable dining experience, my advice is to go elsewhere.

15/08/2026: Just revisited the falls restaurant for a second time we had the full menu which consisted of lots of courses which were all very tasty and things which we had never had before. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something special. We met and chatted to the chef mark Treacy and complemented our lovely fine dining dinner. The service was so great and courses arrived regularly describing what we were about to eat all really great. Thank you
