16/12/2024: Nice spot, been a couple of times now. Only loss of the star is on each visit, a steak was ordered by a different person in our party. Each time it was cooked longer than asked for, we didn't raise this with the staff so won't fault them for it.

09/11/2024: Pay attention! The trick is the flavour build up. My main was monkfish, cavolo nero, paimpol (?) beans, charred octopus, a seaweed butter emulsion and a piece of soft marinated fennel. Individually, grand. In combo, super. Very clever cooking, nuanced but big impact. Enjoyed very much. Service lovely and personable, but not as detailed as you'd expect for 1*, better dish descriptions and attention to wine service would be good.

04/11/2024: Hit and miss. Starters were the highlight. Mains weren't seasoned properly, especially the duck, which is unforgivable at these prices. Waited over 45 minutes for desserts due to the waiter forgetting to put it in. No acknowledgement by management of this. It's a real shame because the dining room is lovely, great buzz in the place, and the menu reads really well, but it was not executed to the standard you'd expect on evening we visited.

24/11/2024: Takeaway took 2 hours & 15 minutes to arrive and live in the city. Food eventually arrived stone cold. Everything had to be reheated. Had to ring twice to ask for update on the order. Really disappointing- will not be ordering takeaway from here again as not the first time this happened. Beware ordering on a Saturday evening !

24/11/2024: We went for lunch and both had fish sambos. Absolutely delicious, simple but full of flavour amd beautifully served. Service is friendly and very quick even though the place is super busy. 💯 recommended 👌 and would gladly come back!
23/11/2024: Absolutely delicious. Lovely cosy spot to slip into on a rainy November day. Friendly staff. Great service. And amazing food. I had a tea, fish finger sandwich and the roasties for side. I will be thinking about that meal for some time. Great flavours, v fresh, lovely flakey fish in a light crispy batter, amazing sauces and the bread - divine. I'll be back 😀 Make sure to visit!

09/12/2024: Staff and management are incompetent and rude. Extortionate prices for food and drink. A dirty, drab, and smelly place in general. The establishment is well advertised online. But it is all really just a giant "smokescreen" to cover up how subpar it is in reality. Avoid!
01/12/2024: 6 of us in for lunch and all ordered together , all dishes came at once other than my pizza, everyone was finished their food by the time my pizza arrived, not only this but the food was below par for the price, I guess it is pub food but I’d expect better, the pizza had some tacky cheese on it that was like rubber, it reminded me of a bad frozen pizza , others had linguine that was just store bought and served out, nothing fresh at all, an average of €25 each for food and then some drinks on top, the plan was to stay and watch the rugby but we just decided to leave after that.

09/11/2024: Your bouncers are on a power trip x
Reason for no entry was "we are full" when an woman vacating had told the bouncer "two of us have left, there is space for 2 now, let this man and his friend in". Your bouncer still refused entry and would not provide any valid reason. I wouldn't mind if I was drunk, he was just wanting to ruin our stag night. Travelled half way across the country to spend money in local bars, for a man with a power trip to ruin it. Vet your bouncers, or at least give valid reason for no entry.
