17/03/2025: Great little bar. We visited on a coolish Thursday night at the end of a couple of days on the Island.
A cozy peat fire and friendly locals provided the warmest of welcomes, enjoyed over a couple of very creamy pints of the black stuff.
Now living in England, peat is hard to find. After asking, the landlady helped me out with a wee bit to take back with me.
Couldn't fault it. A perfect end to a wonderful visit to the Island.

14/03/2025: Great pub brilliant amsphere on a Friday and Saturday night there a good night bar on until 3 they’re a story to every seat to the bar and the open the fire place. the land Lord is a fine mighty hamsome buck Ashame he not single:.: there was a drunken woman an older lady Joeanne ohh my…. she was coming on to partner Saturday but the locals told her off her partner not impressed. I love this pub the bar man what a gentleman…:.. overall the pub and restaurant and bar is worth alone coming to Ballina everyone was so friendly very welcoming.

11/05/2025: Skip the hot chocolate - it just tastes like sweet hot milk. And is VERY overpriced. I ordered a basic hot chocolate and was charged €5.40, despite the price on their signage being something like €3-€4. They just shrugged and said “yeah, we’ve raised our prices so the signs are wrong”.
Just avoid altogether.

Visited on 2 occasions in the last few weeks and the food was excellent on both occasions.
The pasta and pizza were delicious and the special medley was top class
Mescan beer brewed locally is available and don't forget to try the desserts.......this local restaurant is well worth a bit and great value

10/11/2024: Decent station just a vending machine and toilets there, just be aware that bus eireann no longer collects from there even though online you can book a ticket from the train station but you need to go to Mill st that's the last stop for the buses it's about a 10minute casual walk from the train station

04/04/2025: It’s our go to place when we return to Ireland, we land into Knock and once we hit Ballina it’s straight to jimmy’s for a coffee. The staff are fab, coffee is always great. The donuts are a “10/10” according to our young son. The bakery looks incredible and they’re usually sold out by the afternoon. Also family run and home grown - what’s not to love?!
21/03/2025: Not sure about the rest of those reviews but myself and my partner(both serious coffee addicts!) just had 2 of the best coffees of our lives from here. The sausage rolls (one vegetarian and one regular) were savage too! Definitely worth a visit!

31/05/2025: Went here when the place was near empty to watch the rugby as Munster were playing. Game went to a kick off and the staff turned it off for the start of the European soccer. No consideration for people who had sat by buying pints for best part of 3 hours of o watch it he last 5 minutes.
06/05/2025: Apparently it has the best Guinness in Westport. I don't drink it so I can only go by what my fellow drinkers told me.
Great venue for live music as well.
