21/07/2025: Fabulous hotel, Fabulous food and Fabulous service

17/07/2025: My boyfriend and I booked this hotel during our stay in Ireland for a luxury stay and a a calm, disconnected spot. I will say the property is very beautiful and the food is great. The staff is very friendly as well. The rooms start off looking very pretty until you start to notice the large amount of spiders surrounding you. As someone with a decent fear of spiders, I will say this is not the hotel for you. Every corner of our room was covered in huge spiders. The first morning in the bathroom 3 huge spiders came out of no where walking along the floor which put me so on edge I couldn’t take my shoes off the rest of the stay. Our comforter had a stain on it as well that made me a little uneasy. They don’t reply quickly to emails for reservations. Overall, it’s a beautiful place but the price you’re paying doesn’t seem worth it.

06/02/2025: Good local store. Going there because of its convenient location. But prices on shelves are sometimes smaller than at the till. But one star I give because of rising prices after the recent storm Eowyn as they were the only open store in Ballinrobe. Paid €56 for two tins of azera coffee americano and decaf. Dozen eggs and milk. My granny told me never make many on somebody's suffering and stay away from people who do.

14/07/2025: A 3 star hotel in a 7 star location. Will give 4 stars for the view because it really is all that and a bag of chips.

10/03/2025: There's a lot of great restaurants, pubs and cafes that serve food in Westport but there aren't many good quality and affordable options. McHugh's is a great option for good, quality food with friendly and polite staff with affordable prices.

11/02/2025: If your in Westport and feeling hungry. McHughs has some of the best sandwiches. Also some good coffee too.

30/06/2025: The Merry Monk serves excellent pub food at reasonable prices. We frequented on a couple of occasions during our stay in the area. I can recommend the carvery

16/06/2025: Stopped off here in our motorhome as they allow campers & motorhomes to overnight in the car park if you eat in. Food was very good, excellent quality, fresh & very tasty with friendly staff. Can highly recommend.

27/05/2025: Called to bar square on Sunday evening for food. I had the chicken supreme and it was delicious. My husband had a mexican dish znd it was equally as delicious. Compliments to the 2 guys who were cheffing on Sunday. Will be back.

31/03/2025: A beautiful place to stop and have a point of beer definitely well worth it.

20/06/2025: Currently sitting waiting for Christy Moore to come on and its past his start time because the seating is so unorganized it is ridiculous. People don't know where they are, this place has been here for years and ye cant get the seating sorted. No A/C, not enough bar staff, the list goes on. Cop on and sort the basics.
