23/09/2025: This was the perfect place for this Philadelphian! While an old traditional Irish pub, the wall was lined with Philly team hats! Pat the owner/bartender was very pleasant and personable, as we're all the friendly people I encountered there. This is a quiet but friendly bar and was perfect for my travel companion (who grew up up the street) and myself to sit at a table for personal discussions or at the bar to meet new folks. Weather did not permit, but there was an outside beer garden too! While visiting one evening,the back room broke out in Irish singing.. loved it. They do not serve food.

30/08/2025: Nice traditional.pub , enjoyed a pint or two! Great setvice from the elderly barman ,nice atmosphere.

20/12/2025: Fabulous food, great sized portions. Unfortunately the service was lacking, ridiculously slow in pace. Lack of clearing tables... and the restaurant was quiet, so no excuse.

08/12/2025: Only second time here first time was a very bad experience furniture was not well maintained food wasn't bad, but it's improved since, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the service and selection, the time we went was great, there was no noise, we booked a table, and got straight in our waitress was pleasant, gave every option and did come back asking if everything was ok, couldn't fault it, a great asset for the town,

11/11/2025: Really nice stay at Mount Falcon Hotel. The restaurant was a standout — much better than most hotel food. Overall, a great experience and good value for money.

25/10/2025: 15/6/25: A great traditional Eire pub, well attended by locals and a friendly owner. Deco is spot on with lots of shining dark woods on counters and tables.. The deco within and outside the pub makes good use of contrasting wood and stone with the colour yellow which makes for an interesting look. There are tables outside the front of the pub and a large covered area at the back of the pub too. Dogs are allowed outside in the open front area and in the covered area at the rear which you can easily access at the side of the building, so there is no need to enter through the front door.

01/03/2026: Been ordering from Nandons for the last 4 to 5 years and never had a negative experience. The food is fantastic , the service has been perfect and the staff always accommodating. Couldn't recommend Nandons enough and its been great to support a local business.

06/01/2026: Visited sat 3/1/26 .... visited this cafe a few times before when in Castlëbar and liked it but......Had "great stuff" sandwich from menu €10.50 as they say OMG..vv poor offering .. kinda thing you'd THROW together yourself if in a hurry at home ..came with garnish on the side ..blob of mayo/coleslaw type concoction ..uughhhh .Have worked in cafe sector..know price ingredients etc have increased but cmon you can do much better .Never asked at til if food OK when paying Standards have dropped here ..won't be back

28/02/2026: Can't thank the man at the Westport train station today enough, for the most wonderful experience for my two sons first trip on the train... he was absolutely amazing with my boys and made them feel so special gifting them with Irish Rail certificates and train hats they were thrilled and really made my sons 3rd birthday ever so special,I didn't get this man's name but I hope he see's this as I can't thank him enough very thankful for such a great experience 🙏

13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.
