07/07/2025: Laser Tag was great fun and very well setup at this location.... we also needed to change times at the last minute, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating

26/10/2025: They work hard in The Western Strand ~ We wern't guests in the hotel so we came in 3 minutes before close (8:30pm kitchen closed that Thursday) and there was no issue being seated and menued (shows great kitchen discipline, although try not to do what we did, spare the chef)! They do an open mic on Thursdays which sounded great and added fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the waitress was delightfully friendly. The presentation of the food was tops. Very happy, will be returning for dinner again in the future.

06/08/2025: Stayed over last week for a few days, and I honestly think I couldn’t have stayed anywhere better in the EU for the same price. The room was basic and what you’d expect, the bed was very comfortable and the sower and toilet worked as they should. The coffee and tea facilities were great, and plenty of room to hang your clothes etc.for a single room it was excellent. The pub downstairs was excellent too for food and entertainment on most nights, location is the best in the town. Take it from me you’ll love your stay here, the owners and staff couldn’t do any more for you if they tried. So for the few moaners in the review section you really need to give your head a wobble. 26/08/2025: I would give them 5 star if they fix the phone line, is not possible to ring to make an order in weekends when they are busy. Food is lovely , best Chinese take away in town. Update 4 years ago i letf review "best Chinese in town" well that change drastically. Food is terrible now i dont know what happen dry hot and spicy is not even close what it use to be. I was their comming back customer every weekend, but im not anymore

01/10/2025: We are huge fans of Nandon and always have the loveliest time, and the loveliest food! The staff are so friendly, and always ready with a recommendation or something new to try. Great as a takeaway, but the in-person experience is particularly special. Strong recommend!

13/09/2025: Still waiting for a delivery 3 hours after ordering, every time we call they say it’ll be 15 mins. Unsure if it’ll ever turn up but at least not really hungry anymore, given it’s now past 10pm!

31/05/2025: Have gotten take away from here a few times and it’s always really good. Meat is great quality and sauces home made and so good. Would definitely recommend. This is the best quality food for miles around

19/10/2025: Happy accident trying Jimmys that left us with no regrets. Great coffee that had a bonus brownie piece, tasty sausage rolls and addictive donuts. Worth a detour if you’re anywhere near Ballina!

08/08/2025: The Staff were so welcoming as we walked in and the food was so tasty Really enjoyed it my Husband had the beef burger and i had the chicken fillet burger and our little girls portion of pasta was perfect service was really good The lad that served us was really friendly we will be back

12/10/2025: SIMPLY STUNNING! What an amazing weekend in Carne for the friends of carne. This has everything you could possibly dream of. First class hospitality from Gerry/Fiona and team, course was in top class condition. What a special place and i can't wait to get back.👌

08/10/2025: This one star is for the delivery service. The pizza arrived an hour and a half later and was already cold. This is because the delivery person went to the wrong address than the one specified in the order. The manager didn't even try to resolve the issue. Unprofessional, a huge minus.

05/10/2025: Was looking for Italian pizza , I was order pizza take away but when I was see pizza it’s not look like Italian at all! Pizza di Parma Taste like normal pizza, but for sure not like Italian

07/10/2025: We had such a lovely evening here two weeks ago. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate fudge cake for dessert which I took a picture off :) which was out of this world, and my friend had the cheese board which was just as impressive. Even before dessert, our meals was gorgeous. The staff were so lovely and welcoming I even made a point of telling them that as we were leaving. Next time I’m back in Mayo, I’ll definitely be returning here.
