13/08/2026: Delicious lunch here recently. Staff were so friendly and the owner was on hand and very attentive. Food was tastefully selected local produce with a great range of drinks to choose from. Booking is not possible to be sure to get down early to get a seat!

And my 2nd cousin owns it. Just as well I live in Singapore as it would be my 2nd home if I was local.

13/05/2026: Was not an overnight guest. Went here for Dinner. Fab staff. Highly recommend the Prawn Tacos. Served with salad and chips. Wishing them well in their business.
21/04/2026: Amazing stay at the lodge. Location is perfect to explore the island. Francois and all the staff were extremely friendly. Irish breakfast and coffee were amazing and great pizza in the evenings. Highly recommend it.

One of the nicest Italian restaurants I've been to. The sauce was so authentic. You could really taste such rich flavours.. highly recommend this restaurant. Also the servers were lovely. Very attentive and warm. If you eat here, you won't regret it. It was a fabulous night. Thank you to the staff of Giovannas for a fantastic meal

08/08/2026: Incredible! Came here with my girlfriend and we had the most fabulous night ever. Elaina our waitress was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome and special. We came in strangers and left best friends. 10/10 we will DEFINITELY be back. I highly recommend the ravioli and the sticky toffee.

27/03/2026: We went to the Gateway today for a family birthday. The sevice was slow but food was reasonable even though vegetables arrived when meal was nearly eaten. The main problem was with the service and attitude of staff. We asked for a jug of water before meal and asked two different girls on four different occasions without water arriving. When it did arrive the jug and glasses were slammed on table. We will not be back

02/08/2026: Great pub and as Mayo had won Sam the previous Sunday the talk was about football. As a Kerryman it was great to hear all the locals talking about the match. Pints were good and service was excellent. Nice and relaxed and got seats so was fine and relaxing.
05/06/2026: I didn't enjoy this one as much as the other pubs over on the main road, however that may have been due to the back area closed off for a private function.

22/06/2026: One of Ireland's best pubs. Perfect vibe, perfect staff, perfect pints. A quirky interior you could get lost in for the night no bother, great big smoking area with plenty of seating and a roof. Food available above the pub in the Korean or Indian, and can bring food in if you desire.
12/05/2026: Visited this establishment last weekend, on the recommendation of a Briton, to drink real Irish beer Guinness.
I was very impressed with the delicious real Irish beer - an unforgettable taste, I tasted this beer for the first time in my life, I had to go get another mug. Very tasty beer.
