The best restaurants in Mayo

02/04/2024: Family there twice over Easter W/E, food and service --couldn't praise them enough and when asked where we might get milk for breakfast they gave us 2ltrs, we were in rented house, thanks again, we'll be back, JK from Clarinbridge 👍🙏

18/10/2023: Been here for a takeaway. Ordered a chicken pizza and a portion of chips. Both were great buys. The place from outside looks brilliant and has an amazing vibe from inside. Saturday night and it was jam packed. Will come back to dine in someday.

07/02/2024: Stayed for 2 nights, beautiful hotel, lovely staff and service, lovely area, would definitely be going back, the managers were also lovely and very accommodating 😀

06/05/2024: I've just enjoyed the nicest takeaway fish and chips I can ever remember having. The batter was so light and the chips so perfect it was a pleasure to eat. Always good here but better than ever or anywhere. Restaurant quality

29/03/2024: Great cozy pub with delicious food! The waitress was very friendly and helpful with giving me a list of the gluten free options. We both got the stuffed chicken which was the best meal we've had in awhile! Cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

18/12/2023: We drank here several Guinness, Cider and a Whisky to warm up after a very wet day. Everyone was very nice and we had a table to play cards together so I would highly recommend this place. Next time we do the coastal route we'll come back!

20/01/2024: If your looking for quintessential Irish home/b&b this is it. Anthony is a fantastic host and a wonderful chef. The breakfast is always amazing. The building itself has an old world feel, with a lot of personality. I would highly recommend for an overnight stay.

12/01/2024: Walking into this guesthouse, I knew I was going to enjoy my stay. Situated next to a babbling river, we were easily able to find the location and parking was available up front. Anthony welcomed us in and helped us to our room. In the sitting room, there was a big bouquet from Violet's florist across the street with lilies smelling bright and Christmas-ready. There are paintings and photos and lovely antique furniture lining the halls and you feel welcomed in. The bed was very comfortable and warm. The room was clean and bright and very spacious. The shower had warm water, great water pressure. We were provided suggestions for local sites and places to grab a bite to eat. Anthony's breakfast was exceptional. We were spoiled by offerings of full Irish, fresh fruit, coffee, brown bread and marmalade. We can't stop talking about the eggs and potatoes. Still!

19/12/2023: What a great pub. Narrow entrance but the pub is very deceiving,it goes on forever. Great atmosphere, lovely efficient staff. Prices great . Will be back

03/10/2023: If you want the BEST Guinness in Ireland, come here. I'd read reviews saying it was the best, so had to go, to try for myself. I want disappointed. Traditional pub, with genuine Snug as well. Plenty of space inside, TVs showing sport, function room upstairs that seats 100, or stands 150. Still had the shop counter inside, that's now used as a bench table for patrons. Dennis the bar man is a character and the locals are always happy to have a craic with you. Centrally located in the town, and easy to find. Take the time to visit this place, you won't be disappointed
