20/08/2025: We needed four meals to takeaway, two of which had to be vegan and one vegetarian. There was no issue ordering vegan versions. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sauces were delicious, the vegetables beautifully al dente, the meat tender and flavoursome, and spicy was just the right amount of spicy. The rice was not sticky, not too dry. The re-usable containers are great and will be used again, and again. The price was very reasonable (ca €50 for 4 mains). The ordering process was uncomplicated, the waiting time was just right, the staff member we dealt with was friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again the next time we visit Ballina.

13/08/2025: This Nepalese restaurant is one of the best I’ve ever been to. I ordered dish number 32 — I don’t remember exactly what it was, but it was perfectly spicy and very tasty. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. I recommend it!

24/10/2025: Can't resist stopping off here for a coffee when I'm passing through, what a hidden little gem. The taste is in a word 'perfect' (every time). The staff are cheerful and attentive, as soon as you walk in its unmistakable and adds a real personal element. A made to order cappuccino costs €3.50 which I would consider underpriced for what your getting "but shhhhh, don't tell anyone". You'll notice them take a bit more care and time than some of the larger chains and you can definitely taste the difference in your drink. If you have your own coffee machine you can buy a bag of coffee and I can honestly say its the nicest coffee I've found so far and I've tried a lot, branded as 'SUNDAY' it's a medium roasted Aribica/Robusta washed blend and a 1kg bag costs €30 and considering the best tasting supermarket coffee I could fund was Lavazza @ €25 it was well worth the extra €5 but a professional barista will always win when it comes to a taste test. Try it once and prove me wrong, I DARE YA!

26/10/2025: They work hard in The Western Strand ~ We wern't guests in the hotel so we came in 3 minutes before close (8:30pm kitchen closed that Thursday) and there was no issue being seated and menued (shows great kitchen discipline, although try not to do what we did, spare the chef)! They do an open mic on Thursdays which sounded great and added fantastic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the waitress was delightfully friendly. The presentation of the food was tops. Very happy, will be returning for dinner again in the future.

06/08/2025: Stayed over last week for a few days, and I honestly think I couldn’t have stayed anywhere better in the EU for the same price. The room was basic and what you’d expect, the bed was very comfortable and the sower and toilet worked as they should. The coffee and tea facilities were great, and plenty of room to hang your clothes etc.for a single room it was excellent. The pub downstairs was excellent too for food and entertainment on most nights, location is the best in the town. Take it from me you’ll love your stay here, the owners and staff couldn’t do any more for you if they tried. So for the few moaners in the review section you really need to give your head a wobble. 01/03/2026: Only stopped for a quick bite..limited menu mainly sandwiches 🥪 but great soup and plesent staff 😋 locals enjoying the beers and the company of the staff..typical Irish rural bar. Loved it

26/09/2025: Sincere thanks to Staff for helping me when I missed a bus connection by a few seconds on Wednesday night last. I am an older person, using a walking stick, my phone was dead, and anyway I had no taxi numbers. It was late and it was dark. Staff were happy to call a taxi, they also offered the possibility of a lift as they had a delivery on my way home. I was delighted to accept a lift, I heard since that not all taxi's go out late.

05/07/2025: We were passing through Ballina. The kids wanted pizza and we chose Domino's. We waited 10 minutes and ate in the establishment. Neat and clean in the hall. The toilet is stellar. The pizza is very tasty! We will definitely come back to you again!
