25/05/2025: Most beautiful bijou bookshop, could’ve spent hours here. Lovely collection and great craic with the owner, Neil. A real jewel to happen upon.

24/11/2024: We got the Lighthouse to do catering in our home for a Christening and we would highly recommend Mary and co. The food was fabulous and all our guests commented on how lovely it was. There is a great choice on offer, and from ordering to delivery, the service is seamless! It was great coming back from the church and having the food all set up ready to go! We will definitely order again!

16/09/2024: Thank you Mary & Sal for the excellent service in the catering business, I have used the Lighthouse for serval occasions and have no hesitations in giving the highest compliments for the food, service and friendliness. I highly recommend their chicken curry, beef stroganoff, potato gratin and pasta dishes with meat balls and side salads.

03/02/2025: Played this fab course for the first time this weekend. Every hole is unique. The views are amazing. Certainly a challenge. Called into the clubhouse for a pint and a bowl of soup after and I must say the staff in the bar and indeed the Pro Shop were very welcoming and so friendly. Will definitely be back to play one of the other courses.

03/05/2025: Delicious meal and lovely relaxed setting at Ashford Castle. The seafood is delicious. We had the Lobster and the Black Sole. Both were amazing and delicious.

18/04/2025: There are no faults I could find with Martino's takeaway, I have eaten here about fourteen times, and Martino's is my first preference takeaway when I am in the mayo area. All the food on the menu is scintillating great even the curry sauce is 100% perfect flavour. If I was to find a fault it would be the curry sauce portions are a bit small. If you decide to eat here, you will not be disappointed the pizzas are 5 star restaurant standard. There is a well laid out seating area comfortable spacious and clean , The staff are very friendly and welcoming .

14/05/2025: Fish platter starter was ok. Steak wasn’t cooked right and was flavourless as well as sword fish, no check back. Servers friendly but not paying attention, was asked 4 times if we had allergies, no steak knife until asked, asked what something comes with ‘I don’t know but I assume…’. Meh. Also, if you’re charging service charge that’s fine but you need to do better service, top up waters etc.

13/05/2025: This was a lovely restaurant. The food was very good as well as service. We ate here multiple days in a row on our visit to Westport. Big shout out to Fein and Huseein behind the bar.

04/05/2025: Hello, I took my son to Ireland for the first time and we went to some great dinners at Au Port Mor, Aronon’s, Sage and had a bottle of wine each dinner and paid via CC. All good until at Covey’s (at Westport Hotel). We were having a nice time until when I was leaving the server said I didn’t tip him (after he ran my CC). John the manager defended him. I am so embarrassed by the shake down that I left $30 on table. But to be clear the server ran my card I gave him and he didn’t ask me to add gratuity. I told John I would have been happy to but didn’t know I did something wrong and didn’t have EUR on me. He then said my $30 usd was too much. He can burn it. The bottom line is if you are an American don’t go to Covey’s as you will be held to a shake down by this terrible server from Istanbul and his loyal manager as the rest of their staff was horrified how I was treated.

17/05/2025: Have not been in here in a long long time. I had fillet steak and it was lovely. Blue cheese sauce was gorgeous. Will be back in again.
