Old Arch
Claremorris
15/07/2025: A small and unassuming restaurant on the main street, but you'll find a real gem there. Friendly service, a captivating ambiance, a bar in the middle of the restaurant, and a very well-organized menu are a real eye-catcher. High-quality meat and well-seasoned dishes.
It's worth a visit!

Coveys Gastrobar
Westport
08/07/2025: My family and I come here often for lunch, a beautiful restaurant with great service, and superb food. Today, had the takeaway pizza which was the best I've had in a while, delicious toppings and a lovely base.
30/06/2025: Firstly the service...Hassan was amazing...it was a pleasure to watch him multitasking so efficiently and still have time for customers....we had a fillet steak and a sirloin...both cooked to perfection....veg and atmoshphere excellent and averagely priced for Westport.

Cronin's Sheebeen
Westport
09/06/2025: Hadn't been here in years but as we were holidaying in the area we decided to go back. It was as good as I remember it. Just a shame I live three hours away.
05/06/2025: Stopped off for a snack here while out walking along the Clew Bay coast. Fabulous chowder. The new black pudding starter was great also.
(I sneak in here on my evening "stroll" also, for a chat and a pint,,,, shhhh😅🤫)

Guirys Bar
Foxford
25/06/2025: If you’re looking for the best pint of Guinness on the planet, look no further than Guiry’s, a small, family-run gem that’s worth travelling for (and I literally travel from Leeds just for a pint).
This place isn’t just a pub; it’s a proper Irish welcome wrapped in warm conversation, local charm, and that unbeatable creamy head on a pint that dreams are made of. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is effortlessly authentic.
Whether you’re popping in for the perfect pint or staying for the craic, Guiry’s never misses. 10/10 would recommend, and already planning my next trip.
22/03/2025: Lovely pub run by Pat! Great Guiness!

Cupán Ceoil
Ballina
27/06/2025: Very charming café, super friendly and welcoming staff who let us bring our dog inside. Delicious sandwiches, especially the tuna melt! 👌
01/06/2025: Cutest little cafe with such charming staff. We stopped here based on recommendations from the Google reviews and the people did not disappoint. The first thing we were told when we walked in was that their coffee machine was currently not working, which was not a deal breaker for us. I ordered the Mini Irish Breakfast with teas instead. My other half had the pancakes with bacon. Mine was delicious and definitely a better choice for me then the full Irish Breakfast. My partner enjoyed the pancakes they were not as light and fluffy as American pancakes but instead more dense, but still good. The atmosphere was very laid back and everyone was so kind, the server was so apologetic about the coffee machine she even volunteered to go across the way to go get us a coffee. I would highly recommended Cupan Ceoil for not only the food, but the fun decor, and the wonderful people who work there.
