24/10/2025: Can't resist stopping off here for a coffee when I'm passing through, what a hidden little gem. The taste is in a word 'perfect' (every time). The staff are cheerful and attentive, as soon as you walk in its unmistakable and adds a real personal element. A made to order cappuccino costs €3.50 which I would consider underpriced for what your getting "but shhhhh, don't tell anyone". You'll notice them take a bit more care and time than some of the larger chains and you can definitely taste the difference in your drink. If you have your own coffee machine you can buy a bag of coffee and I can honestly say its the nicest coffee I've found so far and I've tried a lot, branded as 'SUNDAY' it's a medium roasted Aribica/Robusta washed blend and a 1kg bag costs €30 and considering the best tasting supermarket coffee I could fund was Lavazza @ €25 it was well worth the extra €5 but a professional barista will always win when it comes to a taste test. Try it once and prove me wrong, I DARE YA!

03/10/2025: My mum and I had one of the best meals we've ever had here this past summer and I am praying they have it on the menu next summer (hence the review) It was one of the specials - Seafood pasta. The sauce was perfect with it and the garlic bread really added to the flavour - still dreaming about it now! Please make permanently on the menu next year, we'll come every week!

13/12/2025: I was there with a group of 10 people, and because the menu is so diverse, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was such a nice surprise to see two types of risotto on the menu, but the prawn linguine with pistachio pesto sounded good too, so I decided to order that. The experienced staff is very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was great and I'll definitely go back to try the risotto.

29/11/2025: We just had dinner for my mum's 70th this evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the guys were all so friendly and attentive. They even all sung happy birthday when they brought us out a cake. I would 💯 recommend to anybody.

17/11/2025: We’re still sat in this lovely cafe. The owner Yvonne was sooo lovely and she actually makes the cakes - a rare thing to find these days. And they were delicious. We had a lemon tart and a lemon drizzle and I couldn’t choose a favourite between the two, they were both really good.

11/11/2025: Service is consistently on point, professional and friendly enough. Food.. Well, the poached eggs on avocado toast are done properly (easily as good as some 5 star restaurants I've eaten at), and even simple Bakewell Tart is presented with proper fresh cream and a flourish of jus 👌🏻. The chef clearly makes the effort. The Cinnamon Toast is highly recommended (especially with bacon and maple syrup)

10/10/2025: I was really disappointed with my visit. Just because I ordered something small. It felt like the stuff didn’t pay much attention to me . I waited quite awhile before anyone came back to my table and then I finally wanted to order something else I was told the kitchen had already closed. It left me feeling ignored and unwelcome. Definitely not the kind of service I expected.

21/11/2025: I visited The Junction Family Restaurant in Ballina, and as always, I had a beautiful breakfast there. Every time I’m in Ballina, this is my go-to place. The food is always fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk in. I really recommend The Junction Family Restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and warm hospitality in Ballina!

05/10/2025: Where locals go for a meal, it can never be bad. All age groups are represented here: students or business people on their lunch break, seniors enjoying a late breakfast. The service is fast and friendly. The food selection is perfect for brunch or lunch. I had a toasted sandwich with a soup of the day, both very tasty.

14/09/2025: Peter, the owner, helped us out after we missed the return bus after biking from Westport. He called the local taxi for us, and we enjoyed a pint in his cozy bar while we waited.

27/10/2025: 11/6/25: Great cafe and very welcoming and friendly staff too and where dogs are allowed at the rear under a sheltered roofed area; there are a few other large tables in the yard but these are not protected from the weather.
