30/04/2026: Very nice overall and always good food for a reasonable price the only things I think they can improve on are the chips are always scorching hot and impossible to eat for a while after arriving (You would actually need to leave them until you've nearly finished eating the rest before you can eat them), also the mens bathroom could be improved, currently they have a long trough instead of urinals but I think urinals are a lot nicer for a fancy restaurant. The issues are minor and won't affect me visiting in future as I have many times in the past

06/05/2026: I recently stayed at the hotel on the recommendation of a client, I’m so pleased that I took their advice. What an absolute gem of a hotel. From my booking to checking in, was just seamless. I was allocated Room 101, which was absolutely perfect for my stay. That evening I decided to have dinner in the hotel, and what a great experience I had. From the friendly staff, the excellent choice of food, and the way the food tasted and was presented was truly a great experience. I cannot wait to come back and visit the next time. 05/05/2026: We stopped because we needed a quick meal. We were glad we did. As Americans visiting Ireland for the first time, we can honestly say these burgers and chips (fries) were some of best we've had.

24/03/2026: Hadn't had food from here for years. It was very disappointing as the food was poisoned with salt. It was like they had an assembly line approach to getting food out & the food was salted by everyone involved.

10/04/2026: A typical Irish restaurant with classic beef dishes, as well as pasta and burgers. Good service. Prices are reasonable for Irish cuisine (main courses range from €18 to €22). The beef stew with Guinness is highly recommended. A pint of Guinness is €7.

18/09/2025: What a gem of a place, we’d been to the Deli the day before and bought some granola and flour, and had a take out coffee, so we were really looking forward to a late breakfast at Café Rua. First impressions were a fantastic welcome and real friendly people, nothing sham or pretend here. What a great menu, absolutely something for all tastes and dietary requirements. The chorizo, spinach and sautéed potatoes, topped with 2 perfectly poached eggs and accompanied with chilli relish was excellent. Real fresh orange juice was delightful, and the coffee? Epic! What a fabulous way to spend time being looked after in one of the best cafés I’ve visited.

28/02/2026: The owner of the restaurant is extremely kind and humble. We LOVED the food and would highly recommend this place to all Westport visitors. This was authentic Italian with the owner from Sicily and his head chef from Roma. We ordered the carbonara and seafood ravioli, a bottle of wine, 2 affogatos and aperitifs. All delicious and extremely well priced. Thank you! You could give our nonna a run for her money 😂

05/04/2026: Went there good Friday got 2 cod and chips. Only live 2 mile away about 3 minutes. Got home opened up got ready too eat the fish wasn't cooked fully the batter was pure soft and the chips were not cooked. This is the place everyone is talking about how good the food is. I wouldn't give it to my dog incase he got sick so gave the whole lot to the birds. If I had eaten that stuff they call cooked food I'd would have got food poisoned.

18/09/2025: A great Diner for everbody who is looking for some greens and vegetable beside the meat! We enjoyed the amazing chicken wrap with a mixed salad after plenty of burgers, fish & chips and other heavy stuff the days before! Great and friendly service and very cheap prices! We will come back, whenever we will be in the near!

29/12/2025: Stopped off here for some lunch on Saturday 27 December. Lovely cosy bar. Had a southern fried chicken wrap & it was absolutely delicious. Nicest chicken wrap I've had anywhere in a long time! My sister had a goat's cheese salad that equally looked delicious. Will definitely be back.

10/09/2025: Amazing high-end food in a very casual environment. I had the roasted lamb rump which was excellent. My partner had the cassoulet which was just as good. Highly recommend if you make your way to Westport.

Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care. The menu offers a great variety, and everything we tried felt fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully put together. The drinks selection was equally impressive, with well-crafted cocktails and a great range of options to suit every taste. Service throughout was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, ensuring everything ran smoothly and adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Overall, Noel’s Bar and Restaurant delivers on every level—food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. A true 5-star experience that I would highly recommend.

09/03/2026: Fabulous in house restaurant. Casual atmosphere with a great menu. We had a later dinner and enjoyed everything we ordered. The pie of the week was chicken and mushroom and was delicious! Highly recommend

09/03/2026: Good food and great craic at the bar. We were touring the Wild Atlantic Way and needed somewhere to stop for the night and grab a bite to eat. The Merry Monk was friendly, welcoming, and great value. A perfect spot if you’re passing through and looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
