18/03/2024: Great little drive through, well run sausage rolls are awesome and the coffee is delicious. Probably our favourite place in Swinford, and the cake is the best. Kids loved their baby-chino and the relish with the sausage rolls is amazing

04/04/2024: An File Bar (the poet)* in Westport, Ireland, was our favorite eatery when we visited Ireland in April 2022. After our first lunch there, we couldn’t wait to return and did so several times. The traditional Irish pub is on the Octagon in the heart of Westport in County Mayo. It is a favorite of locals, but visitors like us also drop in for BL&D. The food is traditional Irish pub grub made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The menu is brief but covers the basics. The full-service bar serves Guinness (and other beer), wine, and spirits. The menu covers the basics of Irish cuisine. OUR FAVORITES — --Bangers and mash served with onion gravy and tasty red cabbage --Vegetable soup and brown bread (I could swim in the soup and live forever on the hearty brown bread and Irish butter) --Chicken sandwich on brown bread was made with chunks of chicken breast, Irish cheddar and fresh greens --Green salad with panko-crumbed goat cheese (a meal in itself) --Seafood chowder – don’t pass this one up; I still crave the creamy soup filled with tidbits of cod, shrimp, and mussels --A glass of prosecco is perfect with either soup --Guinness is a match for everything --Always ask for brown bread; it is unforgettable, healthy, and hearty Stop into An File in Westport for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a creamy Guinness. You’ll be glad you did. *This memory was inspired by family traveling in Ireland and eating at An file Bar Westport. We are so jealous!

We are in Westport on holidays and we were looking for a good breakfast and we were recommended here, and it was all excellent, Full Irish very filling and with quality ingredients, delicious onion jam, and the soup of the day was also very tasty, very good prices! ! I also want to highlight Max's great attention and kindness!! Recommended 100%

20/01/2024: The best Italian food in town. But the server, a tall lady with blonde hair, was racist, touching my personal stuff without asking and continuously cutting my orders off. I feel bad for the restaurant for having this server.

10/03/2024: I really enjoyed my meal here. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, everyone working there was really friendly and helpful and the food was perfect at the end of a long day. We had garlic mushrooms, Brie, creamy chicken with champ, a rib eye steak and a fruity pavlova for dessert. Every thing was fresh, beautifully cooked and the mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious. A lovely restaurant, a very nice experience and very reasonably priced.

29/03/2024: We had dinner for a special occasion and I can say that the restaurant is really ideal and located in very nice location of Birmingham. The cocktail were very good (pornstarmartini) then the food was also good but I really believe that they should keep it simple for their starter and just forget about the leaves 🍃 to introduce your prawns or Calamari as much as the mango can be nice but need to be Ripe and juicy! Other than that the food and price ration isn’t too bad for 7 peoples. I really hold to say that the service was above expectations and that why I think that both ladies raised the bar of the experience which can only lead to improvement in the food in the future! Looking forward for another experience Ooo and the wine selection is also great keep pushing on this aspect!

25/03/2024: Fabulous restaurant. We had a lovely table. The halibut was the best I have ever eaten.

01/04/2024: We booked a family room with 2 queen beds, but when we got to the room, the attendant realized his mistake as there was only one bed. They gave us a 2nd room for free. The hotel needs some work such as new carpet and paint. The bathroom looked nice. However, there is no water pressure. It was impossible to take a shower. Breakfast came with the booking. It was good, and portions were large sized. However, they were out of waffles and juice. Don't know how one does that as they are staple items for breakfast. The forest surrounding the castle was stunning. If you get a chance, go explore. Overall, it was a cool experience, but I don't know if I would stay here again or not.

31/03/2024: We had dinner at the Library Restaurant while staying off site. The food and drinks were lovely. The setting is regal. The Drunken Bullock Fillet is truly an experience. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us on a tour of the castle and its interesting collection of items. We look forward to returning and staying at the hotel.

30/03/2024: Cozy restaurant with excellent service. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good and plentiful. We had the burger and the haloumi salad with onion rings.

26/02/2024: Brought a friend who was visiting Ireland for the first time to this charming and unique little Tapas Bar last November. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere but when we got the bill we were really taken aback. We shared a cheese board/sharing platter which was approximately 27/28 euro. On the menu it stated it was this price for 2 people to share. When the bill arrived it 28 euro x 2 which was unexpected- 56 euro for 2 sharing . We definitely would not have ordered this platter if we had known it was double the price and feel it should have been explained to us before hand either on the menu or in person.

10/02/2024: Hidden gem in Westport. We loved our night there, the food, atmosphere, and surroundings were perfect. Highly recommend for anyone making the trip to Westport and looking for something special and a bit different.
