31/01/2025: Delightful visit to The Old Salt Coffee Lab in Foxford. The coffee was superb served with a smile. Lovely warm friendly atmosphere. We had a 10-minute wait for the pharmacy to reopen after lunch and it was great opportunity to pop in. It was my first time to actually go in and sit down as I live in Foxford. I loved the decor and I was so glad they kept the same theme as their mobile coffee van. I highly recommend anyone passing to pop in for their delicious coffee, you certainly won't be disappointed. So grateful to have this little gem in our town.☕️☕️

21/12/2024: Can't resist stopping off here for a coffee when I'm passing through, what a hidden little gem. The taste is in a word 'perfect' (every time). The staff are cheerful and attentive, as soon as you walk in its unmistakable and adds a real personal element. A made to order cappuccino costs €3.50 which I would consider underpriced for what your getting "but shhhhh, don't tell anyone". You'll notice them take a bit more care and time than some of the larger chains and you can definitely taste the difference in your drink. If you have your own coffee machine you can buy a bag of coffee and I can honestly say its the nicest coffee I've found so far and I've tried a lot, branded as 'SUNDAY' it's a medium roasted Aribica/Robusta washed blend and a 1kg bag costs €30 and considering the best tasting supermarket coffee I could fund was Lavazza @ €25 it was well worth the extra €5 but a professional barista will always kick your b**t when it comes to a taste test. Try it once and prove me wrong, I DARE YA!

01/03/2025: If you are in Castlebar or anywhere in Mayo, don’t miss this excellent restaurant. The food is superb, the wine is expertly paired with each dish and the little extras are a real treat. Service is friendly and the whole experience never disappoints. We’ve visited about 5 times now and we will be back many more times.

01/02/2025: Just a perfect dinner at Friends Bistro. We had seafood ravioli and risotto, and tiramisu. The food was exceptional, service was excellent, with a warm welcome and a lovely warm chatty atmosphere in the restaurant. Wonderful!

08/03/2025: Had the best and freshest breakfast on our way to Galway this morning. The 2 girls service were so nice. The whole breakfast was so fresh with delicious brown bread and toast and fresh coffee. I highly recommend it.

03/02/2025: Played this fab course for the first time this weekend. Every hole is unique. The views are amazing. Certainly a challenge. Called into the clubhouse for a pint and a bowl of soup after and I must say the staff in the bar and indeed the Pro Shop were very welcoming and so friendly. Will definitely be back to play one of the other courses.

13/01/2025: My family and I had lunch . Venue choice fairly good. Staff friendly. Seating along the wall very low and need updating. wasn't confy for the hight of the tables you'd need some cushions. Soup was nice could be hotter. Roast lamb tough and luke warm. To much mashed potatoes piled onto plate under the Roast stuffed lamb. Very was cold and not fully cooked.no flavour. Bar gentleman never even egnolished us as we said thank you..to busy watching football.. Customers comes first .

22/03/2025: A lovely hotel. But the dinner menu is very restrictive if you're a non meat eater. Salmon, salmon and more salmon! Every day. Would be nice to have a second choice of fish on the menu.
