06/10/2025: After this wonderful place was recommended by several locals we decided to try it at last. Blue Serenade did not disappoint. The food was exceptional lovely flavours fresh and wholesome. Wonderful presentation. Great value for money. Easy parking. Peter who looked after us was so chatty helpful attentive as provided exceptional service. This place has exceptional reviews has a great reputation in the town for its service great food and ambience. Peter the owner treats everyone who comes through the door in a lovely courteous genuine and professional manner. A wonderful hidden gem in Castlebar.

16/11/2025: I am very disappointed. I had to wait over two hours for my food without any communication or apology from the restaurant. The delivery time was completely unacceptable, and the service left much to be desired. This should not happen – I will not be ordering from here again.

The biryani that I ordered was not even cooked well. It's very sad that we order food for this much price and it is not tasty and good to eat.

20/08/2025: Lovely atmosphere very nice bar men, lovely pint of guinness, lovely pints of carlsberg very nice malibu and diet coke and 7up. Only place to watch the United match in Keel lovely outdoor seating aswell and dogs could be outside too. Great to see some sheep running past us.

10/08/2025: Greta atmosphere inside the pub and outside. Even though it was very busy there was little to no wait at the bar for our drinks. There is a pizza truck outside which opens until pretty late and has lovely variety of options (as a bonus, the garlic mayo was free!). Will be back next time we are in Keel!

10/11/2025: We celebrated our wedding at the Mulranny Park Hotel a couple of weeks ago. A lot went very well, especially the delicious food, and some team members, like Caroline and Bernadette, truly went above and beyond to help us. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this venue to anyone who would like to trust and rely on their wedding venue and wedding coordinator. The stress started early. After receiving written confirmation of our date and having already started ordering save-the-date cards, we were informed on our first site visit that there was a double booking and that we should find an alternative date. Less than a week after signing the contract, we were also informed of a price increase of over 50%. Within less than one year we had 3 wedding coordinators, which suggests very high turnover, and sadly, the final coordinator we worked with, Makela, was the most unreliable wedding coordinator. In the final run-up to the day, I was unable to reach the coordinator for over 24 hours to arrange for the dress and cake drop-off. It was only after 9 pm the night before, following multiple calls to the hotel, that we received confirmation. On the wedding day, it took more than one and a half hours and multiple requests via the reception to meet with Makela and receive the promised champagne upon arrival. We had agreed to cut the cake at 9:30 pm, but at 9:30, there was no cake. After searching for the coordinator, my husband only caught her as she was leaving for the night without informing us and without organising the cake. After the wedding, the next day, I had to visit the hotel 4 times in order to get my stuff back; nothing was organised or cleaned. To make things worse, the final bill was incorrect. Despite flagging it promptly, it took over two weeks to even initiate the refund, during which we had to chase multiple times. We were told we had been called when we had not. Even after sharing our bank details during a scheduled call with Makela, no refund was initiated until we continued to escalate the issue. We finally received the refund three weeks later. We did not receive an apology from Makela for these issues. For transparency, and given prior management replies, we kept the info@ email address copied on all correspondence, which did not improve communication. It is a pity, because the hotel has some excellent staff and sits in a beautiful location. However, our experience with management and the wedding coordination added significant and unnecessary stress. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue to couples who need reliability from their wedding venue and wedding coordinator, and neither we nor our guests plan to return.

12/10/2025: Amazing venue for a wedding great wedding coordinator makela knows how to make a special day even more special. She listens to what you want and delivers with no issues. All staff at the hotel are helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. The views from r very part of the hotel is breathtaking
