20/07/2025: Seriously delicious! Chicken fillet burger and the bacon, cheese, curry chips are so good!!! Also tried the Philly cheese steak sub but didn't get a picture. Loved it so much we ordered from here two nights in a row!

14/07/2025: The feather blade beef and fish & chips were tasty, but the restaurant should work on their vegetarian options: pasta with vegetables and just a bit of cheese isn't a proper dish and won't make a vegetarian happy.
Moreover, the apple pie wasn't good and probably not homemade.
Apart from those two downsides, there's a nice atmosphere and the service was very good.

I highly recommend this place for Indian dishes. As a vegetarian I was hoping to find good restaurants and this was it.
We ordered Paneer Jalfrezi, Dal Tarka, Plain naan.
Location was awesome and so was the chef.

Being the only chipper around for miles they have potential to be so much better.
Right beside the camp site so easy access from there and the beach.
Super busy, but that’s because it’s the only takeaway place around.
14/09/2024: We were on holiday for a week on Achill and went on a search for the best food on the island. Once we tried The Islander, everyone in the family just wanted to go back again and again. And you can! The menu has so much variety, we could have spent a month there trying new things. One of our favourites was Alex's Argentine Beef Burger - Alex, you're a genius. So, the food's great, it's great value for money and service is fast and friendly. If the owners ever fancy expanding the business towards Ulster, you’ve already got eager customers waiting in Monaghan!!

05/07/2025: We were passing through Ballina. The kids wanted pizza and we chose Domino's. We waited 10 minutes and ate in the establishment. Neat and clean in the hall. The toilet is stellar.
The pizza is very tasty!
We will definitely come back to you again!
