28/04/2026: Ate bar food here on the way home from big match in Castle bar. Good selection of food. Staff were nice but seemed shocked to see us. Service was very good no hard upsell. Very easy to access from main street good onstreet parking.

27/03/2026: The only nice thing I have to say is that the bar men I met were extremely friendly.

23/09/2026: For the most part the food is good... but the chilli sauce is an abomination. It's possible that on the evening I was there someone had messed up but the chilli sauce can only have been the cheapest, nastiest most acidic vinegar known to man with a bit of added colour. It ruined a chicken shawarma and the extra sauce my partner ordered for our chips has achieved an infamy that will be hard to exceed. The Islander burger is great though!

03/05/2026: Highly recommend the roccos diet, got a kebab last night and I've already lost a few pounds. The kebab was sloppy with paper attached to it that wouldn't come off so had to scrap with a knife, and this morning my stomach is in bits and so the toilet

06/09/2026: The reason I gave such a low rating was because I found generative ai in their menu photos, it's absolutely ridiculous. The food is great but seeing AI on the menu is just disappointing.

30/05/2026: Ordered a takeaway. It was horrible. It tasted stale; the chicken in the main meal was rock hard, and especially the satay skewers, dry and hard as a bone. This place has gone downhill rapidly.

29/05/2026: Ordered a soup to go, got home and seen more soup in the bag than in the actual container... such a shame

02/10/2026: Really disappointing experience in Subway today. While preparing my kids' order, the lady serving us dropped half of the bread. She then turned her back, put one half in the oven and cut the other half for us. I asked if the bread had fallen on the floor, and she told me that it was actually the other half in the oven that had fallen on the floor. I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. She then said she was going to dispose of it later, but left it sitting there in the oven with the other bread. I told her I wasn't comfortable with this, and rather than addressing my concern, she simply walked off. Thankfully, I spoke to the man working there afterwards. He couldn't have been any nicer. He made two fresh rolls for us right in front of me and completely changed the experience. Credit where it's due — the gentleman who dealt with the situation was excellent and very polite. I would have given a 5-star review to everything if he had served us from the beginning. Unfortunately, the initial handling of the bread and my concerns by the lady was simply not acceptable. I would hope management look into this, and they are more than welcome to contact me if they wish. but For me, basic food hygiene should never ever be in question.

08/05/2026: Didn’t feel wanted there. Went here for my first time recently and was not impressed. The staff weren’t welcoming and made you feel like you were a problem. Especially the and I hate to make assumptions but the American girl made you feel uncomfortable and we’re wanted gone. Spoke in a un catering voice. The food I would said was well over priced and dissatisfying. I got the whole grain foot long with cheese ham and tikka masala chicken. I could only taste the stale bread!! After this visit it will definitely be my last.

08/06/2026: Sophia is just amazing in there, so friendly and kind. I had a very moody and tired toddler who didn’t know what ice cream he wanted, she was so good with him and he was then able to pick one. She was so patient and friendly though out the whole interaction. What an asset to the place :)

26/08/2026: Chicken balls not fully cooked rice and chips were greasy. Wont be getting food here again.

30/06/2026: Food here is quite overpriced, portions are small as hell, go out as far as Balina, get some stuff from like The Lantern, Julan Julan, ect and you will get the same priced stuff that could last you 2 full meals. It is actually ridiculous. I've even heard the potential of getting some people sick from my own family members! I'm glad I haven't yet but it's a shame. The food is nice enough but they could do better on portions. Also staff can be quite rude, to my mother and grandmother made us walk back upto our house to get a around a single euro or 2 of missing change Update: Found a hair in my rice. Disgusting. And also are the chicken ball portions getting smaller I swear to god they are

30/08/2026: Ordered takeaway, food was hardly edible, portions were small and quality was poor, prices were higher than advertised on their online menu. Every little thing was charged. Total price was ridiciolusy high. I would not recommend this place to anyone, very disappointing.

12/07/2026: They are trying to be dog friendly. Just call a few hours ahead, talk to the owner and she may make arrangements for you to sit Ina cordoned off area.

22/09/2026: It was late when we arrived and we were starving. We wanted a cup of tea and fish and chips. We were told there was no fish and no tea. Ending up having a burger and water.

15/08/2026: Terrible service, dirty, no where near as good since change over, avoid at all costs.

13/08/2026: Pizza with not really fresh ingredients. Chips smells poor oil. It was my first and last time here. Just visiting Knock and had to eat something.
