10/11/2025: A horrible end to what had been a nice weekend. We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime after a weekend in the caravan park. We had drinks the night before, but decided to grab a quick pizza before heading home. They were preparing for a private event, so we asked if we could be accommodated, sitting outside and were told absolutely. We waited 15 mins before I went on the hunt for menus, and after another 15 minutes with no service, I went inside, where a sulky waitress, whom I was clearly inconveniencing, proceeded to reluctantly take my order. When ordered, I discovered the kids' meal didn't have the dessert, so she said she would " sort it out once we had eaten". My daughter's hot dog arrived along with our side of fries that we had ordered with our pizza. No cutlery or our drinks. There was a tsp of garlic mayo with the fries, which my daughter liked, so considering the portion was so tiny, I asked for a little more. This did arrive promptly, along with the card machine, for a €1.50 charge. Asked again for cutlery. The pizza eventually arrived, long after the fries were gone, and I asked again for my husband's drinks. When the pizza was gone, I went back in and asked for a refund for the non-arrival drinks, but after no sign of either a waitress or a refund, we left. We paid €37, including one Coke, which was not received. Additionally, we paid € 1.50 for an extra teaspoon of garlic mayo. The caravan park was fine, nothing special, but I couldn't fault it apart from having to wait 20 minutes for someone to come back to check in. I spent the whole meal in and out chasing menus, ordering drinks, and cutlery. etc - whole thing took over an hour despite no one else eating at the time - If they had just said that they were completely preoccupied with the later event, we could have gone somewhere that actually wanted us there. What the website doesn't make clear is that once you roll past Sept 1st, it's off-season and lots of things are closed , fewer choices of eating, etc.

14/07/2025: Lovely girls working here. Charming service. Great food. Fish and chips was massive. Great crispy fries. Good wood fired pizza. The atmosphere is cute and historic. Peaceful and pretty.

12/11/2025: Love the food and the staff are really lovely. Service can be slow if theyre busy with take aways but to be expected when places are busy. It can get very noisy with the cutlery being washed behind the bar and banged about. This can make overwhelming and less accessible for autistic people/families. Food portions are huge 👌

01/09/2025: Undoubtedly the worse chinese ive ever had. And our whole group felt the same - Crispy shredded beef was so soggy and the sauce felt like it was just poured on from the bottle. The Singapore noodles were wrong and actually chow mein and in a horrible peppery paste. It was alarming that an order for 6 people to taky away took 8 minutes 😑

02/09/2025: We grew up eating O'Hara's bread and we especially love the new sourdough ranges. Bakery 51 is an excellent addition to Ballina. The food and staff are excellent. I highly recommend visiting. O'Hara's sponsored an event (Empower Her Wellness) that I was involved with last year and they also sponsored Cancer Action Mayo a number of years ago. They are a great Mayo brand and very generous to the local community.

09/09/2025: I ordered oven baked cod, but it seemed to be cooked from fozen. Menu didnt mention breaded either and came without any sauce. Food ok, but not what i expected. raised the issue with the owner, who became defensive. Wouldnt advise avoiding as some of the dishes are clearly of high standard.

29/07/2025: We had such a lovely evening here with old friends. The food was spectacular. My friends all had seafood which was incredibly fresh and delicious, while I opted for what was the best pizza I have ever had outside of Italy! Could not recommend highly enough.

25/07/2025: Great service by Eve & Excellent food by Orla - Seafood medley was delicious, mussels starter plentiful & pizza fully loaded - wine menu good & our 8 year old Granddaughter had a visit with the cats on the Patio - hope to get back soon again - Thanks so much 🙏🏻💚❤️

11/10/2025: A nice, cozy spot for a morning coffee, but the food was quite disappointing. We tried the ham and cheese quiche with salad and were let down, the quiche had way too much ketchup inside, and the salad was served with cold pasta, which didn’t go well with the hot quiche.

18/05/2025: A little gem in town, professional efficient and clean. Staff are wonderful obliging and respectful. Has its niche and does it well no more can be asked 🙂

13/09/2025: Ate breakfast there. They charged us prices higher than what was on the menu. Waitress was rude and took over an hour to bring us the bill after we'd asked.

24/08/2025: Rice rock hard and brought to attention. I was told it was good. Didn't lose any fillings so thats a bonus. Reheating rice and getting pieces that caught in the edge isn't experince to repeat nor reaction from staff when told

17/08/2025: Ate here this week for lunch. Seating is limited with mostly high stools, but the ambiance is nice. The food was fairly standard, staff were friendly and attentive. Maybe better as a take-out option than dining in.

06/09/2025: Ricky’s is the place to BE!! If you’re after the freshest, juiciest and value for money fast food. You’ll have to come to Ricky’s. Their food is FIRE🔥. The Texan Smokey Bacon burger and chips is my go to!! BEST BURGER in Limpopo hands down! Keep up the AMAZING work Ricky’s!
