12/07/2026: Unless it's fried it all seems to be full of water! The spicy chips and prawn crackers are OK but the Chow Mein was so awful we put it outside for the foxes and even they wouldn't eat it! Some boiled chicken with frozen mixed veg and what looked like pot noodles floating in a load of water with a slight taste of beef dripping. No spices at all. THAT IS NOT CHOW MEIN!!! And not cheap at €12.50 either. Because they are the only Chinese in town that is the problem - no competition therefore you get what they give you. They are faster than McDonald's at getting your food ready which is a definite red flag.

12/07/2026: Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I have a dairy intolerance, so I always ask about ingredients before ordering. The first time I visited, I was assured the satay sauce didn't contain dairy. After eating it, I became extremely bloated and felt very sick. When I returned, I was told the satay sauce actually contained butter, which is a dairy ingredient. On a later visit, I explained what had happened and was reassured that the black bean sauce was dairy-free because the kitchen had checked. Unfortunately, after eating it, I once again became very bloated and unwell. I can't say for certain what caused the second reaction, but based on my experience, I don't have confidence that dairy-free requirements are being managed reliably. If you have a dairy intolerance, milk allergy, coeliac disease, or another dietary requirement, I'd be very cautious about eating here. It's also concerning that the food is prepared and ready so quickly. My meals have often been ready in around 10 minutes, which left me wondering how much is freshly cooked to order. I also feel the overall quality of the food has declined. Personally, I'd rather travel somewhere like Swinford, where there is more competition, more choice, and I have greater confidence in restaurants accommodating dietary requirements.

30/07/2026: Small scale restaurant, at a filling station. Only fault was the coffee machine was closed at 9 pm

28/04/2026: Ate bar food here on the way home from big match in Castle bar. Good selection of food. Staff were nice but seemed shocked to see us. Service was very good no hard upsell. Very easy to access from main street good onstreet parking.

05/04/2026: I came in to have a wrap, i didnt expect it to be that spicy, im not into spice, but it was delicious 😋, the worker was kind, friendly, and just a nice dude, my only issue is that theres no place to sit inside like the weather was now, rain and cold, prices are great, not expensive nor cheap, Good fast food restaurant 9.5/10

27/05/2026: The very best dinner out I had in a very long time! I had the Killibegs Salmon with Chefs Seafood sauce. It was absolutely delicious. As I like to cook myself I had lost my faith in eating out, because I often feel I could have done better myself. But not here. We will certainly be back for more !

03/05/2026: Highly recommend the roccos diet, got a kebab last night and I've already lost a few pounds. The kebab was sloppy with paper attached to it that wouldn't come off so had to scrap with a knife, and this morning my stomach is in bits and so the toilet

30/05/2026: Ordered a takeaway. It was horrible. It tasted stale; the chicken in the main meal was rock hard, and especially the satay skewers, dry and hard as a bone. This place has gone downhill rapidly.

22/04/2026: In 2012, my brother lost his life after being in a physical altercation with the security from Cox's, 2 of them asked him to leave which he did, peacefully as seen on CCTV, he tried to walk away 3 times,but you can see the security saying things to him while he was walking away, as the coroner said at the inquest, unfortunately we can't hear what they're saying, unfortunately on the third time my brother came back and that's when the "physical struggle " happened , resulting in the loss of my brothers life. I could go into more detail but I'd be here for a week. By the way, Cox's didn't have a late licence to operate that night either, unbelievable. I hope this message finds the right people, and I will never forget what happened that night and I hope it lives long in the memories of the owners and the security. ( which I doubt.) RIP paraic. ❤️

17/02/2026: I just love Cox's beautiful steak, chips and garlic mayo. Everything is fantastic. Alright service. Good atmosphere

06/04/2026: I had the nicest curry chips out of here. If anyone remembers the old taste of Bue Thunder curry, this is the place that has replicated it. Beautiful. The tinfoil on the bottom of the container to stop it seeping out is another nice touch. And the man is lovely and efficient. Fair play, I'll be back for more.
