The best restaurants in Mayo

14/06/2026: This was my first and definitely last visit to this place. My fiancée and I wanted to try something different, so we chose Dhaka during our visit to Castlebar. As soon as we got to our table, I noticed right away that it was dirty, greasy, and sticky. That was the first red flag, but we decided to give them a chance, thinking maybe they just hadn't had time to clean it yet. Communicating with the waiter was difficult because his English was very poor. We waited nearly 50 minutes for our food. The prawns were almost raw, and the beef was so tough that it was impossible to chew. However, I wouldn't give a 1-star review just for the food quality alone. What the manager (or owner, I'm not sure) did was way over the line. He was walking around the dining area almost the entire time, talking loudly on his phone. Then, he sat down just a few tables away from us and started picking at his toenails! It was so disgusting that we stopped eating halfway through our meal. (I just hope he doesn't do the same thing in the kitchen). We will never, ever come back here.

05/04/2026: Best Indian food ever.Superb taste and flavour. !Sultan is always so friendly, helpful and efficient.I always go back.Food is superb. Flavours are out of this world. Definitely a must when visiting Castlebar or looking for a takeaway..

16/07/2026: The coffee was only a 3/5 for me. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately I was given a dirty spoon.

09/08/2026: Nice pizza, eatable, not the best pizza I had in my life, but a decent one. The guys were polite and the pizza was not prebaked. The ambient in the dinner was bad as most probably not many people sit in for food. It would be bice to make some improvements.

17/05/2026: love there kebabs but don't go here for this reason. They have a sit down area but never seems to be open.

31/07/2026: Not very helpful. Order two medium pizza for collection over the phone, they would not give the pop in deal price per the website saying it was online offer only. Other locations are customer focused and provide the offer for walk in collections.

30/06/2026: i ordered 3 cheese garlic breads and a portions tenders. Guess how many times we had to ring?… THREE, three times they hung up cause they thought we were a scam, just cause we couldn’t hear him with his shitty signal. THEN and only then he threatened to call legal sources on us. WE JUST WONTED OUR FOOD but i guess not it just kept going and going it got to a point. we got our food quick though and that member of staff and that girl only was nice. I was very disappointed in the attitude in our ringer so i wish to worn other near victims kind regards, amy, saoirse , chloe, katie & siphie

04/05/2026: Looked online at menu official nicos website , rang for collection ordered two margaritas as advertised for €10 each . Person on phone took order didn’t mention any price increase, gave my wife l €20 cash as had that in cash , if said be careful issues with website would have just giving card ,got there and was told it’s not €10 each it’s €12! Send wife of with one pizza, didn’t offer any apologies or give two small instead , I called back and was speaking to one very aggressive / rude member of staff ! Took zero accountability it’s our fault for looking at menu on your official website ! Not never again what an absolute embarrassment of an establishment!

19/07/2026: Disorganised and chaotic, wrong prices and items on menu. Ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and got a completely different pizza. Goujons flavourless and overcooked. Rude staff, won't be back.

12/07/2026: The manager owner is ignorant and the food is atrocious I had a upset stomach after eating a kebab I spent the following day on the toilet
