04/04/2025: Purchased a surprise bag from the too good to go app, got a lovely fresh cream roulade, 3 muffins and a loaf freshly sliced

11/05/2025: All the kebabs had to much salt in them and when I asked on one of them to be a small portion they gave me no garlic which I asked for garlic’s on all 3 I paid €53.80 for the meals and very disappointed paid for to much salt and no garlic

31/07/2025: Probably the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Over done fish and the chips tasted like they were refried as they were as hard as cardboard. Very disappointing. We are locals and will never go back. And I agree now with the guy who posted about it having a strange taste. Update: the owner’s ridiculous response (attempt at humour?) is insulting. Cardboard-like chips and overcooked fish (as can be seen in the picture, NOT sausages), there is no excuse for. How about may be taking feedback on the chin and trying to improve your awful establishment? Your staff weren’t very nice either. Try being better at your customer service!

07/09/2025: A lovely restaurant with really great waitstaff! My friend said the bangers and mash was so good she could have it 3x over - highly recommended! The small steak was nice, a little sinew-y at first but the peppercorn sauce was delicious. Great portion sizes!

20/08/2025: I spent about an hour in Costa Coffee in Ballina, County Mayo. The coffee was decent, and the café itself was pleasant enough. However, the major downside was the blender. The noise and screeching from it were unbearable — even while sitting on the opposite side of the café, I couldn’t hear my companion talking whenever it was in use. Honestly, it’s the loudest blender I’ve ever experienced in a coffee shop, and it really took away from what was otherwise an OK atmosphere. In the end, my companion and I decided to move across the road to Matcha Coffee, which was a much more enjoyable and relaxing time

18/07/2025: While visiting Ireland from the U.S., we stopped by this spot kind of on a whim—and I’m so glad we did. Right away, the service stood out. Adnan, one of the guys working there, was honestly amazing. Even though we had some loud and obnoxious toddlers with us and a pretty hectic order, he was extremely patient, respectful, and friendly. You could tell he really cared about customer service, and he made us feel welcomed. Knowing I was from America, Adnan went out of his way to recommend and personally customize a sizzling spicy chicken burger just for me. He added his own touch with jalapeños, spicy sauce, crispy lettuce, and a well-seasoned fried chicken fillet—and I’m not exaggerating when I say the flavor combo was crazy good. It had that perfect balance of creamy, spicy, and crunchy. The sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming, and the burger overall tasted way better than a lot of fast food joints back home. Everyone in our group also ordered crispy chips (fries), which were done just right—crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and the QUANTITY was insane. We had such a heavy amount of chips which was actually insane. We also had a tandoori-style chicken roll that had great flavor. The seasoning on everything was strong but not overpowering. Now, the only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bun and chicken on the burger were a bit too hard, especially compared to the softness of the inside. It wasn’t inedible or anything, but it did make the burger a little difficult to bite into. With a softer bun or slightly juicier chicken, this would’ve easily been a 5-star meal. Still, the taste was definitely there, and the service made it even better. I’d 100% come back, and honestly might stop by again before leaving Ireland.
