12/08/2026: Absolutely amazing experience! We first stopped here for a takeaway on our way to a glamping stay, and the service was above and beyond. The gentleman helping us was incredibly kind — he kept trying to call around to help us get a taxi and made sure we had everything we needed before we left. Nothing was too much trouble. We were also really impressed that the whole menu can be made vegan, which gave us so much choice! We enjoyed it so much that we went back to dine in the next day. It was lovely and peaceful, we got a table straight away, and once again everyone was so friendly, kind and helpful. And the food was absolutely delicious! Fantastic food, wonderful service and genuinely lovely people. Would definitely recommend and would happily come back again! :)

29/07/2026: Absolutely loved this place! I visited with my friend from Dublin and we were both so impressed with the food. Everything was delicious, but the Chicken Tikka Masala was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had! 😍 We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely lovely. He made us feel so comfortable and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Kells, County Meath - definitely worth a visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

09/09/2026: Update (2026): Consistency is key — another solid meal from Chan's tonight! Nearly 10 years of ordering from here and it's the best overall Chinese in the area, taking into consideration food quality/taste, cooking speed, friendly service, decent prices, and a curry sauce that ranks at least an 8/10. Update (2022): Still our go-to Chinese after a couple of years living here! Absolute gem in Bettystown. Some of the best quality, tastiest food I've eaten. My wife and I got the Dinner B for 2 set meal, and it is a LOT of food. All of it was so tasty, we were sampling everything, and it's better value than ordering individual dishes. We've tried other Chinese restaurants in the area (Drogheda to Laytown) and this is hands down the best. We're so full right now but already thinking about what we want next time.

18/08/2026: Great takeaway, quality food and great portions

16/08/2026: So today we went to meet up at Reddans. The people I was with were going to eat. I had my very well behaved dog with me and tied her near the door away from food and people. An employee asked us to move to the outside area with the dog. One of the party was in her 80s and certainly couldn't sit outside as it was too cold. The place was quiet and the dog was disturbing no one. I had to leave. I hope the new owners don't run business off the premises.

04/07/2026: Great place to stay 😁...loved it great service lovely room, lift's too, Food very good. But like the location is fantastic in the heart of the beach town of Bettystown.....lots to do and see. Plus the D2 bus stop is located outside taking you to laytown and then drogheda minutes away.....

01/05/2026: Ordered a fresh cod, smoked cod and sml chips. Delivered in 10 minutes- on a Friday nit. 2hen aI opened order I realised why it was so quick- all reheated, I'm guessing numerous times dry tastless fish, chewy batter, burnt in some parts, cold chewy chips- ALL TASTING OF OLD GREASE! Whole meal went into the bin. D Inedible.

04/10/2026: Been here multiple times every time it’s the same situation, sit down for 20 minutes just to not even receive a menu once you get one wait another half hour to order and another hour to get your food. Most of the time you are given dirty cutlery. The food is fine but that’s if you can even get it.

17/08/2026: Maybe it was an off day or maybe it’s a result of being understaffed but our attempt to have lunch here did not go well. We were “greeted” after a third pass by a salty server or merely directed us to “go sit over there”, in the manner in which you tell your annoying child when you’re fed up. We sat and waited for a menu… and waited…. and waited. Finally presented a crumpled paper menus, it wasn’t was listed online, so we chose to just stand up and leave. We found a freshly made meal across the way at Centra for a fraction of the price. I’m giving food two stars bc it looked decent enough on the plates lucky enough to get service.

27/05/2026: We ordered Nyonya prawns and black pepper beef, and they were both delicious. The chef is Malaysian, and after traveling for many days, it was great to finally taste the flavors of home. Thumbs up! 👍

24/05/2026: We had a lovely birthday dinner with my husband and his family here today! Thank you so much to the staff for being so helpful with recommendations - everyone loved the food! Will come back soon for more Malaysian food when the cravings hit again ❤️

02/09/2026: Dropped into Insomnia in Ashbourne this afternoon to have a coffee. I would like to mention the Manager Tania as being exceptionally welcoming and friendly with excellent manners and in always in a good mood which makes a huge difference when staff are courteous as it effects the atmosphere of the premises and makes you want to come again.

28/08/2026: Great place to gather your thoughts and chill from busy life but the best thing about this shop is the staff. They are so nice, welcoming, polite and they genuinely care about helping you. Not many places have staff this nice, and I always pay cash so I can tip them 😁

20/09/2026: Staff are always on the ball, food is always tasty😊

31/08/2026: Go there a couple of times a month. Food is not as good as it was. Had duck today and there was multiple small bones still in it. Never had this happening having duck anywhere else. Prices are above most local Chinese. Will be avoiding for a while as food is no longer worth the extra money compared to a few months ago.

05/06/2026: I visited there recently for a christening, a great venue, lovely food, and staff are brilliant, from check in to check out. Rooms are spacious, big windows big bath with a lovely shower. Big comfy bed, spotlessly clean. They have big windows in the function room, leading out to a patio and and garden. Great selection of food for breakfast

28/08/2026: Very friendly and helpful host. Beautifully renovated rooms with nice clean bathrooms and good beds. Perfectly located right in the center of Navan. Highly recommended!

22/08/2026: Large breakfast terribly bad. 2 skinny sausages. 2 bad rashers. Black and white pudding is fine for playing ice hockey but not for eating… must have been pre cooked for the day a couple of days early… had to get a roll in centra to feel full. Will not be back

16/09/2026: Burgers are okay. Pizzas are very good.
