22/04/2026: Bad experience on Deliveroo they cancelled my order saying they didn’t have an ingredient for “The Steak Out”, after the cancellation I went to the app again e the sandwich was available to order, before the cancellation the item was on a deal discount, after the cancellation no more, so easy to link the bad faith.

18/04/2026: Have been visiting Bakestone Cafe for many years and have noticed of late definite deterioration in both food and staff. Today ordered pancakes for my granddaughter and coffees and pastries for myself and husband Coffees were reasonably ok. Pancakes came in medium size plate. Two large pancakes thrown onto the plate thick and unappetising with nothing else Had to ask for Nutella. She had been looking forward to them all morning and she cried when she saw them. Couldn’t believe any chef would allow something that awful leave their kitchen. Needless to say they were not eaten. Then you have people going around with a trolly collecting dirty dishes from the tables with no respect for people eating We were definitely not impressed and won’t be rushing back there.

22/05/2026: Local to Dublin and would go to no.27 a few times a year for a nice pre-dinner drink on special occasions, and book an annual conference here. My daughter and I had booked in for lunch before going to inquire about booking her wedding at The Shelbourne. Really poor experience using a voucher, poorly manager by the manager at no.27. The customer service turned us off and no longer progressing wedding inquiry (180 guests) as a result. Food and atmosphere, customer service aside, lovely as always.

18/05/2026: Other than The Duke's in St. John's, Newfoundland, best fish and chips ever! Super busy bar, but worth the wait. Amazing service.

02/02/2026: Our stay at Mount Juliet was made even more memorable by several meals at The Hound, and it truly did not disappoint. From appetizers to mains and desserts, every dish we had across multiple lunches and dinners was extremely good. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea; even though the weather kept us from the outside terrace, the staff were so attentive and ensured we were perfectly taken care of indoors. It was a flawless dining experience that has me already looking forward to my next staycation!

21/03/2026: My toilit had a big sloppy 1 in it when I came bed bugs in the bed and the tv was tweeking in all my years I have never seen the 1st years in the back of the bus up the front now

09/06/2026: 7.40am....thought I would get a fresh hot chocolate croissant. Croissant tough and chewy. Not freshly baked this morning. Chocolate hard as a rock. So disappointing

17/05/2026: We had a beef pie, a roasted vegetable quiche, an almond and chocolate croissant and an apricot danish. Everything was delicious. Spacious seating area at the back and open from 7am so you can grab something if you’re up early.

17/05/2026: This place was recommended to me by a friend, and I’m so glad I gave it a try! Such a lovely place for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. They do all-day breakfast, which is deadly. The menu has great variety and everything sounds very tempting. The coffee is exceptional, and the staff are absolutely lovely and attentive. The atmosphere is really lively and welcoming- perfect for family gatherings, catching up with friends, or even a nice solo coffee date. Would happily come back again!

10/05/2026: Excellent hotel, centrally located and very well connected. The staff were very friendly, especially Paula who helped us with the booking at all times.

24/02/2026: Dublin has tons of hotels. Save yourself the time digging through options and just book this one, the area is Central. Safe. Staff is awesome. Ger who is the concierge extraordinaire will make sure your stay is perfect!

10/05/2026: Go to tramore regular with my two god children we go for a swim in splashworld, then we go for a bite to eat, recently we decided to make a change from usual places on the prom we would go for food this time we went up into the town of tramore and found that O'Shea's Hotel was open. We walked inside and were shown to a table and drinks order was taken, found setting to be comfortable warm and friendly it was fab to see open fire 🔥 on the go while there nice to see little tradition kept going. After short wait our drinks were brought to the table. And then our food order was taken by fantastic friendly waitress, she didn't leave us untill she had each order exactly as each one at table required. After short wait food was brought out and I was very surprised with what arrived at the table, i can say O'Shea's exceeded our expectations. Food was hot as it should always be and service received was total above expectations, waitress kept checking to see if everything was ok and to our satisfaction and I can not fault them. There was noting to fault them on. As for the food portions and quality of the food I'll leave pics on here so readers can draw their own opinion, all I can say is O'Shea hotel tramore thank you for the wonderful service you gave us on our visit and we plan to revisit again, keep up what you are doing as it's what customers look for and want when visiting a good business or hotel and restaurant establishment. Don't change what your doing as it works so don't try and fix it coz it is not broke.

12/04/2026: Paid €170 for a night here, arrived to be told we were in “the second building”. Walked into the second building and it was practically and old run down building, we were put in room 6, there was a gap under the door about 4-5inches, the door handle of the bathroom was falling off, and the room was on a complete slant, there was x2 single beds that looked like something from a sims game, the Lino in the bathroom was coming up and there was a window “slightly frosted” meaning there was ZERO privacy. We weren’t in the room 5 minutes and I went back to reception and credit where it’s due, they were very quick to change us into “the main hotel” as it was put. When we got into the room, it was very very out dated, burns in the carpets and just over all a waste of €170. I understand a room is a room and it’s a place to stay, but for €170 a night for two people for the sake of location it’s not worth it with the Majestic a stone throw away. Breakfast was included, a full Irish was about €15 with a tea or coffee, was standard enough, but again, not worth the money paid for one single night. Completely disappointed and highly annoyed at the rates this place is getting and how they will firstly try and put you in a side building away from the hotel for €170. The first three photos included are from the second room and the last two is gap and door handle of the first room. I’m sure the atmosphere in the bar is fantastic, but as a place to stay honestly keep your money and put it towards somewhere else as this is a complete waste.

16/04/2026: Have to say Hats off to the owner. Exactly what drumcondra needed. A real focal point and social hub in which to meet , enjoy and be proud of one of the best pubs on the Northside hands down. From the 1st steps in you are consumed by the intense amber decor and lighting and the further you go in the better it gets. A sublime, almost hypnotic atmosphere just slaps you and you cannot help but be impressed. The staff compliment it beautifully, looking after every detail as if you are the most important person in there. Five out of five?? I think ten out of ten would be a better rating . Food bot available currently but when it is I look forward to another review of this Northside gem.

26/12/2025: We arrived at The Port House Cava for our booking at 1pm Christmas Eve. The restaurant was empty except for one table. All the other tables were vacant. The server greeted us and immediately warned us he needed the table back at 3pm. That’s fine. We sat. We waited. The same server was down the back chatting with the kitchen over the pass. We waited a little longer, still no drinks order was coming. I decided to draw some attention to our table by going up to the empty bar. The only occupied table gave me a glance that I read as a comment on the hopeless service as they tried to get the same servers attention. He was still chatting at the pass while the only two tables were both waiting for some attention. Up to the bar he saunters, I ask if we can order some prosecco. We only have Cava he says “they are the same thing”. No there not I reply, but ok let’s have a bottle of cava and if you don’t mind 6 glasses for our table. Back at our table he produces a wine list which would have been handy when we were seated. The cava arrives. It’s barely chilled. I say nothing. Again the same server reminds us that he needs the table back at 3pm. My blood is boiling at this stage as my family as I are made feel like we are an obstruction of sorts. The food arrives and it’s delicious. Well presented. Well cooked and a delight. The first bottle of cava is empty. I’d like to order another but the server is back down at the pass chatting again. To command he attention, again I get up and venture to the bar. Another server has started his shift just before 2pm. He’s more attentive. We order another cava and a bottle of rosé. 2.40pm and the 2nd server starts clearing our table. 2.50pm and they are hovering around our table to let us know it’s almost time to go. The restaurant is still empty except for one other 3top table. The bill arrives and I settle at the bar leaving half the tip I normally would. I ask the server why the hard push on getting the table back while the restaurant is empty. He has no answer. Which points me toward the owner or manager who I know will read this review. So, dear sir or madam, your pockets would be better lined if you spent as much time on encouraging your staff to deliver a good experience rather than a punctual one. You’re employing bus boys, not servers. We’re paying for the experience of which the food is only part. The atmosphere was dead just like the bookings. What’s the different between The Port House Cava and Tapas Del Lola? The staff. The staff. The staff. You’re doing Camden Street no favours with this diabolical customer service. I strongly suggest you consider adding some charm somewhere because you’re just not at the level of some of your good neighbours.

23/08/2025: We were there last Friday. Waitress was not customer friendly 2/10 I got tea with sour milk , a colleague got the smallest portion of risotto you could serve Rip off and terrible services. Unlikely to go back and we were regular.

21/03/2026: After walking along the skiffs, it was so nice to rest and have a bite to eat at this crossroads. Quick, tasty, and enjoyable.

07/03/2026: Ordered a group order for take away. Ordered earlier in the day. Pizzas are fab (and huge and as as good cold as they are hot IYKYK)!! Chips really good and the garlic mayo is the best. Great value for money! Food traveled well!

22/03/2026: I was there just before noon. It was very busy on a Saturday. The staff were still friendly, even if a bit stressed, and the food was good. It got quite noisy after a while because of the large number of people. Otherwise, I'd gladly go again.

22/03/2026: We went to Howth, and after a long walk, we came in here. My son wanted fish and chips, but he has allergies to dry fried foods and mustard, and that dish contained mustard. But a helpful employee suggested grilling the fish and making it gluten-free. So my son was able to enjoy it. The rest of the food was delicious. The quality-price ratio was good for the location. The staff were friendly, and the wait was relatively short (considering the restaurant was packed).
