11/08/2024: Poor experience again. Wrong drink delivered and never have full range of whisky on their menu. Always put in a special request to sit away from the toilet, it's the first table offered even when there are 10 tables free and there's always a pause by staff when you request to sit away from the door to the toilet!! Needs some improvement on customer service, that's my update on my unfortunately my local.

19/09/2024: Went our last night in Cork on a 10 day trip to Ireland. The service was great. We ordered three small plates to share along with a bottle of wine and it was plenty for the two of us. This was the best food we had on our trip. Highly recommend this on your next trip to Cork.
14/09/2024: Food and wine is always great. One of our favourite places in Cork. Will never take this away.
However, we were told on 5 occasions that they wanted the table back in 30 minute intervals… this girl was outright annoying and rude… perfectly understand tables needed back but should only have to be told once.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring you are looked after. The coffee is excellent. They also have a delightful selection of homemade pastries annd sweet treats, along with a delicious breakfast and lunch menu. The personal touches, like local art on the walls and artisan treat items, really set this spot apart from any chain cafés. It's a little gem worth supporting, whether you're stopping by for a quick cup or relaxing for a while!

21/07/2024: If you're seeking a dining adventure reminiscent of Fawlty Towers, "The Chaotic Gapo" is your spot. We arrived at 6 pm, only to get our first drink at 6:30. Our food finally made an appearance at 7:10, just in time for a 20-minute fire alarm serenade. At 7:30, a waitress, with pink hair, brought us chips we no longer needed and rolled her eyes when informed. The grand finale? A Guinness that looked like it had been poured by Basil Fawlty himself. If chaos and confusion are your preferred dining companions, this is the place for you!

27/09/2024: We were on a driving tour of Ireland with friends and were staying for two nights at the Lake Hotel. We chose to eat at Herbert's as it was close to the hotel and had good reviews. Service was very attentive and the provision of little extras such as a appetizer were a nice touch. Food was beautifully presented and quite tasty although portions particularly the starters were small. Overall a nice dinner but it was a little overpriced.

Cadre, accueil, prestations, restaurant, effet waouh garanti si vous aimez le charme Irish délicieusement désuet mais tellement classe.
Si vous n’aimiez pas vous aimerez… on est transporté dans un autre temps mais avec tout le confort moderne.
Réellement félicitations à toute l’équipe.
J’oubliais le restaurant.
Un peu cher mais tellement bon et fin.
Vraiment zéro défaut.
