14/04/2026: A lovely spot that was recommended to me, the staff were so welcoming and it was a great chance to practice a bit of French! For gluten free folks, it was a nice surprise to realize the savoury pancakes are made with buckwheat. Tasty food and generous portions.

13/03/2026: My review concerns the bar only. I come to the bar here on almost every visit home, it is a nice quiet place to have a drink with a much more relaxed atmosphere than in other pubs. The service is very good and the prices, while somewhat higher than other places, are still reasonable. You have a sea view and the bar food is also very good. Occasionally there is live music in the bar, too.

06/04/2026: Stayed at Waterford Castle as wedding guests. Can't rate it highly enough, beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff and amazing food. Most enjoyable stay.

05/04/2026: This resort is labelled as dog friendly. We were quoted a price for 4 nights 6 adults for 1220. When I emailed directly to ensure it was okay to bring our dog I was told it is 70 euro per dog per night - I emailed back to make sure I was reading correctly that it would be 280 euro for my dog to stay and was told yes (more than an adult). Safe to say I have cancelled the trip for 10 adults.

16/04/2026: We celebrated my mum’s 80th birthday in the Chart Room at The Oar House, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was excellent, and the chef was incredibly accommodating, working with us to create a menu that suited both our gluten-free and vegetarian guests without any compromise on quality or taste. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening, which made the whole event feel relaxed and special. We had an amazing night and couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate such an important occasion. I would highly recommend The Oar House to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable experience.

02/02/2026: Our stay at Mount Juliet was made even more memorable by several meals at The Hound, and it truly did not disappoint. From appetizers to mains and desserts, every dish we had across multiple lunches and dinners was extremely good. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea; even though the weather kept us from the outside terrace, the staff were so attentive and ensured we were perfectly taken care of indoors. It was a flawless dining experience that has me already looking forward to my next staycation!

01/04/2026: I really liked this restaurant. I've eaten a lot of pizza and I'd put this is my top 3, which includes Tango in Killarney and the now-closed Marco's from Midleton. The base, the mozzarella, and the tomato sauce were in perfect proportion. Our waiter was so kind and helpful and the atmosphere was really relaxing and welcoming. The lighting is really well done in this restaurant to create a welcoming space. I'd definitely eat here again.

19/03/2026: Tonigh we have a lovely dinner with my partner, my pasta was delicious the waiter was so friendly and I loved my cocktail ✨ I’ll definitely recommend this lovely restaurant.

13/03/2026: The crepes were absolutely amazing! I went in with no expectations and I was actually blown by them. We had the savoury crepes and they were crispy yet soft and extremely yum. And the hot chocolate was quite perfect too.
