30/04/2025: Laura deserves a raise! Her professionalism is unmatched. The dealers' choice cocktails were the best we had on our whole trip. She is very personable and kind. Xoxo The bar is legit as well. Very large and the soul garden with nice weather is the place to be.

03/08/2025: With an unbeatable location, close to both the Garden of Remembrance and The Spire, and minutes from the popular O'Connell Street and Temple Bar district, the hotel is housed in a modern red brick building that once housed the Bethesda Chapel and the Wax Museum. Our stay there was excellent, the room very comfortable, the Irish breakfast superb, and the staff very warm and friendly.

02/08/2025: Very nice hotel, close to the town-centre. The room was good and clean. Everybody working in the hotel was very friendly, helpful and welcoming! Breakfast was good, as it should be, Irish! We recommend this place. Busses are close and within minutes in the centre of Dublin.

06/09/2025: Such a shame after my previous 5 stars 3 years ago and thousands of euros spent (checked with my bank). Food / Drink: - Steak sandwich chewy and tasteless. Pepper sauce was like water - Burger dry, bun crumbing, cheap chips from freezer - Fish underdone, batter strangely orange, chips as above - Guinness good, peppermint tea horrible - we asked for water top up, had to ask 2 more times Service: apart from the tea situation, average at best. Toilet cleanliness was appalling both gents and ladies. Atmosphere: Unlike in the past when we were guided to the table, this time it was "wherever you like". Started fine at first, maybe because we were positively biased, and then football match was blasted to the max. Not a chance for a conversation. I honestly hope this feedback will be taken into consideration. We live near Bray and every time we were anywhere in the triangle of Tallaght/Phoenix Park//Blanch we would chose Carrolls in the past. Same for my business guests from US/UK. Not anymore.

20/08/2025: Went there for a company night out, food, drinks and staff where all excellent. Brilliant atmosphere, totally enjoy our visit. Will definitely be back.

19/08/2025: I was passing through Dublin for a day and wanted to try the flavors of my hometown again, and this is definitely the place. The food is delicious, and although it's more of an à la carte buffet with portions, two or three per person is a good choice. The prices, as you might expect, are a bit high for what it is, but considering that this is something "exotic" here, it's understandable. Good service, with a pleasant atmosphere and Andalusian music in the background. Perhaps the lighting could be improved a bit.

20/07/2025: It’s my second time dining in The Port House Cava and the food is simply amazing. The service and the staff are very good as well as the food. Th Port House Cava became one of our best spots to dine in and have some drinks.

14/08/2025: Beautiful spot for food and everything else. Always loved calling here till this morning. Looking for a tip while paying by card after ordering at the counter for food with a tray. So disappointed with this setup. There is a no tip option but seriously....a tip after collecting your food and drinks yourself. Please remove this option. Lots of people beside me disappointed with this also. Thanks.

22/04/2025: Ashling Hotel was a very reliable place for good traditional food. Not anymore. Had a meal there on Easter Saturday. The food was pretty mediocre. A pretty poor attempt at nouvelle cuisine. It would be better if the chef stuck with traditional menus.

27/08/2025: Been here a few times and unfortunately it has never really impressed. The food has become quite overpriced for what you receive albeit tasty. Small-medium sized burger alone costs €~15 and fries an extra €6. Rating for the atmosphere and aesthetic was low possibly due to time of day, brunch on a Tuesday. The main positive is the team working here; they were very (kid-) friendly although little things were noticed and caused frustration, e.g. only a pepper shaker at our table. Other tables had salt & pepper shakers however they were emptied. Overall it was a disappointment.

27/08/2025: Average place, charging 4€ for two slices of toast to come with an omelette is ridiculous. Cinnamon bun or whatever that dry piece of pastry was called was cold.

29/08/2025: Liene made us very welcome and did not rush us to order. A lovely and welcoming atmosphere with really comfortable chairs with high backs which I love. Portions are very generous and the wine list is very affordable with a good selection. This has become my "go to" place of choice to eat and relax in Listowel.

11/09/2025: A wonderful place for a relaxed treat. We just went for coffee in the afternoon, it was a beautiful day to sit in the garden and enjoy the surroundings, but the interior looks very comfortable too. Do book in advance or you'll have to pay to get across on the chain ferry.

09/09/2025: Was at a 40th wedding anniversary in the golf club. Wonderful time couldn't fault anything. Love having to get the short ferry ride over to te island. 😍
