They are way better than The Dough Bros. Go there and meet Bronagh and all the lovely friendly staff. Its a V special experience! You'll sense the atmosphere as soon as you go in!! 5*🥰😋

06/08/2026: Very welcoming staff, great environment, and excellent service. Everyone was friendly and made us feel right at home. Lester took plenty of time to talk with us, share his experiences, and make the visit even more memorable. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!

19/09/2026: I visited as part of a food tour. I had a negroni made with local vermouth which might have been good, if I liked negronis. I would have preferred a whiskey drink. Also had two appetizers and a dessert. The appetizers were okay but I would have preferred something more authentic. The apple cake was good but would have benefited from being warm.

13/06/2026: We went for dinner. The staff were excellent. Food was good. Access for people with mobility issues could be a challenging. How ever there may be other dinning areas that might be accessible.
12/06/2026: We recently stayed a night in the O'Connell room at Kinnitty, and it was GORGEOUS. My husband and I agreed that it was the nicest hotel room that either of us have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The dungeon bar was cozy for a few pints before dinner, the grounds were lovely to walk around, and dinner in the dungeon bar was also great. The only downside was there was a wedding going on just outside of our room, but I had earplugs, so it wasn't much of an issue. We also were served a good breakfast the next morning before departing. We were even lucky enough to have Conor, the hotel manager, sit with us for a bit in the evening and tell us stories about the hotel. 10/10, would stay again.

19/08/2026: Went for lunch today with my friend, food delicious and staff so friendly and a car park at the back which is handy as parking hard to get in Lucan Village. Will be back, thanks to the really nice barman also☺️

30/08/2026: We might have just had a poor experience.....but our visit here was most disappointing..... having eaten several times in their Dalkey Creperie, with a great experience,we left with a poor impression.
It was a Sunday, about 5pm, no atmosphere, so so service and not the kind of experience we had hoped to find.......🤔🤨

20/09/2026: Beautiful lay out elegant bright inviting staff are superb attentive genuine and friendly. Sat outside overlooking the gold range. Child friendly Food was just ok steak sandwhich needs to be revisited asap for 28euro bread is dry steak is hard lots of hard fat can’t be eaten chewed has to be removed from sandwich cut out meat returned to sandwich like ur making it urself again it’s not saucy I was disappointed. Soup was nice for 13 euro also a bit more effort can get same in a standard pub. ice cream was very good and the Parmesan truffle fries where the best. We had a lovely experience for lunch maybe we didn’t order the right stuff. Dinner menu could be better ?
27/08/2026: "It must have been a bad night for me. Halibut, VERY dry. My flight of whisky was one whisky pour. Management handled as any great manager would. When your the host and a guest is leaving and you ask them about their experience and they tell you it’s okay. I would ask them what happen because that’s not what happen."

11/09/2026: Extremely wonderful place. Very chilled out, ambient music, very reasonable and satisfying food. Absolutely fantastic staff. I will be returning again. And I do recommend this place for anyone, who wants to try a good pub grub with a hint of finesse.

30/05/2026: Our stay was nice enough. The room had many amenities, the bathroom was great, especiallythe shower. The weather was warm and there is no AC, so the room was quite stuffy, no air movement. The breakfast was a good spread of hot items, fruit, cereal, pastries, juices, tea and coffee.
If you are planning to golf you'll have something to do, otherwise not so much.
Our dinner was very tasty and the service was good.
28/05/2026: After we had already booked and paid for this hotel, we received an email saying that there was going to be a private event, and we wouldn't have access to the castle for a 24-hour period. We were staying in one of the lodges. Reading the reviews after the fact, we realized that this has happened to others before. Since the hotel and lodges are on an island, this is particularly problematic. The only other place to get food on the island was at the golf club. The night we went there, they were having a golf event, so we were seated by ourselves in the banquet room. They had run out of the one dish we could eat. The food and wine were mediocre. This hotel needs to do a MUCH better job accommodating its other guests when it is having a private event.

11/07/2026: The Inishowen Gateway is a very pleasant spot to stay, with friendly staff; comfortable and quiet rooms; an atmospheric bar; and a well appointed leisure centre, with indoor swimming pool and well equipped gym.
The location is not too far from the town centre, the food is tasty, and the overall ambience is one of easy relaxation.
09/07/2026: It a great wee place to just relax and enjoy, great service good food and a pleasure to b there friendly staff clean premises great walks on the beaches and the park town is lively too.
