06/04/2026: I never write reviews but I have to about this place. This was single handedly the best brunch I’ve had in dublin (I’ve lived here for almost 4 years). Absolutely fantastic, great portion sizes, good value, full of flavour. 10/10 will be coming back all the time!

05/12/2025: I love the hotel and I always stay here. Monique is a lovely staff and showed me the buffet. Raphaela is an amazing manager and I also have met the chef Lucas during my stay, amazing food and buffet service. Happy to be here again!!!

04/12/2025: What a huge disappointment. The room is the size of a closet. We stayed here twice before and the rooms were spacious and beautiful. Not so this time. And we checked in at 4 pm, so it's not like they ran out of decent rooms. The new kiosks weren't working right either.

13/04/2026: Beshoffs The Market has a great selection of fresh seafood products. There are also ready to eat items as well as groceries to cook at home. They have a cafe with fresh pastries located in the market as well.

12/04/2026: Went here with 2 friends to enjoy a starter and the seafood platter. The good: The seafood was top notch quality: fresh as can be oysters, delicious salmon... Good produce all well presented on a plate. So far so good. The bad: our anchovie starter was tiny little slivers. Again super yummy, but very little of it. Since we were 3 and the seafood platters are for two we decided to take two.... When they arrived, again: very well arranged on the plate, we were underwhelmed by the quantity: 4 oysters, very tiny crab pincers, 4 slices of salmon etc... It would have fed 1 person... We were glad we ordered 2, but it may not have been enough if the attentive staff didn't bring us complementary fries... The ugly: The price: 5 euro for the starter of barely there anchovies and 85 euro for what is supposed to be a 2 person platter, but isn't at all. We paid 170 euro for what I would consider a 2 person meal. We have it on good authority that they used to bring out these platters and one waiter had trouble carrying it. Well, times have changed because could have carried these 2 by myself. Our evening was saved by the very nice, very friendly and attentive staff who were the highlight of our evening.

28/09/2025: Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable slightly old style rooms. Perfect for what we needed and beautiful views. Irene was very friendly and full of local knowledge. She is also an exceptional chef and the breakfast was stunning. The breakfast was served at a leisurely pace and everything was delicious. A relaxing start to the day. We hope to come back again.

09/09/2025: Very hospitable and friendly people. Quaint location. Had a room overlooking an inlet so could watch the tides. The place is a little dated, but the people make up for it. Food was terrific as well.

02/04/2026: I recently stayed at the Arklow Bay Hotel and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience overall. The location is excellent, with beautiful coastal views and easy access to nearby walking paths and the town centre. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any questions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. While the décor felt slightly dated, everything was in good working order and perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was spotless, and the housekeeping service was consistent throughout my visit. I also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, where the food was fresh and well prepared, though the menu could benefit from a bit more variety. Breakfast the next morning was satisfying, with a decent selection of hot and cold options. Overall, I would recommend the Arklow Bay Hotel for a short getaway or weekend break, particularly for those looking to enjoy a peaceful seaside setting without straying too far from Dublin. The leisure facilities, including the pool and gym, were an added bonus and contributed positively to the overall experience. I would stay here again in future.

30/12/2025: Arrived Sunday 27th December, no booking, super busy but Ming managed to seat us within 30 minutes. Food was amazing as per usual, service top class and price very competitive. We will be back soon.

17/03/2026: Visited nova for brunch on my birthday and we had such a good time, the atmosphere was cozy, excellent service from the staff and the food was delicious ☺️ the French toast, pork Benedict and nachos were just perfect 😋

30/08/2025: Charming, old-school rooms and a historic lobby (check out the tiles on the floor). Highly recommend if you like unique, hotels that are just scruffy enough to be interesting.
