30/09/2025: What a disgusting food. I had fish, I was looking at the kitchen, totally dirty, I think was a chinese and Irish serving, SO DIRTY!

29/09/2025: One of my favourite bistros in Dublin lovely choice of food, nice drinks menu, great service & quite reasonable overall, they cater for groups too, located in Rathgar we have been going here for decades and never had a bad experience, also the pastry & coffee shop next door is part of the same business & its cakes etc are to die for.

27/09/2025: Had a really enjoyable meal in this beautiful place - very welcoming, great service, delicious food - we all cleaned our plates. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was authentic and gorgeous! Great value for money and would highly recommend.

Then proceeded to get ignored by the bar staff who asked me to move in so I asked why, again because I was “not in the que” even though there was no designated Que here sign. Didn’t get name but very distinct staff member, Round glasses and mullet working upstairs by the smoking area absolutely awful service. All could have been avoided by better communication.

From the first email I sent to plan the engagement, Reena and Eleonora were incredible—so friendly, organised and thoughtful alongside with the other staff working on the night who set up a beautiful private spot on the outdoor terrace after our meal so I could propose to my partner, and made the whole evening feel effortless and one we will never forget. The entire staff were just amazing as well: attentive, friendly, informative and really went above and beyond for not only us but all the customers whilst I was there. The food was outstanding—authentic Italian flavours, perfectly cooked pasta, amazing wines and beers—and every detail felt crafted with care. Il Vicolo will always hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re looking for incredible italian food in Galway, warm service, and a team who truly go above and beyond this is a must and we cannot wait to come back! I cannot thank you guys enough! 24/09/2025: Thankfully they were open on a Monday evening, the food was good, priced a little high but we're grateful they're open for business. The staff was very helpful, despite being quite busy.
