11/11/2025: I know this place is a favourite for many, including several of our friends, and I can see why; the food was beautifully presented, and the service was excellent. However, for a restaurant that usually requires quite a wait to get a reservation, I expected a bit more from the overall experience. While the seafood was fresh, both our main dishes featured white fish and ended up tasting quite similar, which made the meal feel a little less special. The dessert, unfortunately, was slightly burnt and not as enjoyable as we’d hoped. Overall, it was a decent experience with great service, but the flavours and variety could be improved to match the restaurant’s strong reputation and high expectations.

29/10/2025: Not gonna lie might be one of the best chippys I’ve had. It’s always a good sign when a chippy makes you wait rather than getting something out from under a heat lamp. Very fresh not overly fatty and comes in proper paper not a horrible polystyrene tray. Well priced too 12-13 euro for a big portion.

Put that aside everything else was beautiful food ,staff and most of all the company I was with 😉 I would recommend booking as it is a small restaurant If u love seafood I highly recommend this place as u will not be disappointed.

13/10/2025: Your shack was one of the most highly recommended spots in Killybegs when we were planning our Donegal trip and it definitely lived up to the hype! Our first visit after a walk at Slieve League was fantastic. Fresh, hot and affordable seafood, enjoyed with the kids and the lovely bay breeze. Then we showed up with our parents and again and again you were always at the same level. Hope you will keep going and do your best homework during these days and open up with new spot even better and more exciting.

10/10/2025: Ordered 2x seafood boxes. Very good food, but could improve their way of cooking the chips. Chips were hard after a couple of minutes of receiving the food.
