29/06/2026: Warm welcome. Attentive service. Tables nicely spaced. Excellent choice of dishes with fresh and full flavours. Can have main or couple small plates. Would work to have 3/4 small plates between you plus sides/dessert.

16/07/2026: Everything was amazing but the bread needs a shoutout. So so good, I need more of that bread in my life. The oysters were great too! Food was brilliant, staff were really good, and the Guinness was absolutely lovely too. Can't fault a thing. Top drawer stuff going on here so make sure you visit!

14/07/2026: Arrive well on time or make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. The dishes are good but not outstanding, and the price is a bit too high. The service is friendly and fast.

26/07/2026: We had an early booking on a Friday evening. Our waitress Grace was outstanding, she talked us through the menu and wines and her recommendations were sublime. . Great to be able to see the kitchen staff do their thing at close quarters. Absolutely stunning evening, I would recommend the restaurant without hesitation

24/07/2026: Where do i begin. First of all- oysters 🦪 are my favourite food of all time. Of ALL time. I saw they serve them when I pre- checked out the menu,and was gutted to find when I got there they they were sold out.. but… BUT .. the had an oyster pâté so I ordered that, and believe you me, it blew the back of my head right off. The most amazing, outstanding mouthful of food I have ever experienced. Everything I ate was supreme. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, the staff were so welcoming, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and spent time chatting to us, explaining everything, and I left with a big smile on my face and woke up the next morning dreaming of the food and eager to return. The only negative is that there is only 1 toilet but it’s a small restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough. Book NOW because it might be a few weeks before you get the day/ time you desire. Well done to all at Goldies you should be so proud of yourselves xxxxxxxx

28/06/2026: Got a recommendation from a friend for this place and they were right to praise it: delicious food, engaged, attentive staff, and a cool, clean environment. I was able to make a booking at short notice, and I really appreciated that, especially given how busy it was. Its sister restaurant, next door, is just as good, too!

28/06/2026: We ordered five dishes, the Szechuan aubergine was the winner, genuinely well done. The garlic shrimp was decent. Everything else missed. The sushi crab was an abomination, mushy rice that definitely wasn't sushi rice and the nori wouldn't stick to it. The Mexican pork ribs had a really strong porky smell and the sauce was trying to be sweet and sticky but not fully sweet. The steak au poirve itself was cooked well but the fries were way too salty to eat. Strandhill doesn't have many restaurants so I get why people rate it highly. But if you plan on going skip the sushi, order the aubergine, and keep expectations low.

20/07/2026: Ard Bia at Nimmo’s was one of the highlights of our time in Galway and a place I’d happily return to. Set beside the water in a charming historic building, it has a relaxed atmosphere that makes it an ideal choice for a leisurely lunch. I ordered the mackerel, which was outstanding. It was incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced and packed with flavour. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, and the dish showcased exactly why Ireland has such an excellent reputation for seafood. It was one of the best lunches we enjoyed during our trip. The setting adds enormously to the experience. Whether you’re seated inside the character-filled dining room or looking out towards the water, the restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel that encourages you to slow down and enjoy your meal. It’s the sort of place that feels popular with both locals and visitors, which is always a good sign. The staff were another standout. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Service was efficient while still feeling personal, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience from beginning to end. If you’re visiting Galway, Ard Bia at Nimmo’s is well worth making time for. Between the excellent food, beautiful setting and warm hospitality, it offers everything you could want from a memorable Irish lunch

20/07/2026: My most visited and my most favorite cafe in Ireland, especially for brunch or breakfast. Their French toast and smoked tuna dishes are my absolute faves. Highly recommended. Please note - you might be standing in a queue as they don't take reservations for breakfast

05/07/2026: Reel Dingle Fish is one hell of a chipper. Declan is a great guy and makes some fantastic and fresh fish n chips. I’m glad to have had a chat and a bit of craic about our mutual love for New Jersey. Also best curry chips in town!

04/06/2026: Super dog friendly both in accommodation and dining/bar areas. Food, drinks, staff and cleanliness were all amazing. Only note is a dressing table would be a great addition to the bedroom.

08/06/2026: Lovely little place in the centre of Kinsale. Brilliant sirloin, excellent scallops (with the surf and turf), nice wine selection by glass or bottle, fabulous frites, and the service is op-notch. Recommended, especially as a special occasion dinner.

26/05/2026: Great small restaurant. No reservation, but very accommodating for the two of us. Steaks were great, desert a serious - WOW! Very pleasant waitstaff. Busy so we waited - but we like busy, we know it’s good!

16/07/2026: We are not regular visitors to Bray, even though we live not too far away. Opted for Carpe Diem based on a "Best of 10 in Bray" list. Food was fantastic. Great value too. Will be making return visits.

30/06/2026: We spent a long weekend in Murray's the staff could not do enough for us. The rooms are so spacious and recently refurbished. The food and music was great , I cannot wait to return next year.

10/06/2026: What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Outstanding food (and I mean outstanding) beautifully stylish and comfortable bedroom (we had a sea view room). The helpfulness and friendliness , not to mention the competence, of all the staff was the best we have encountered in the last twelve months in three continents!
