20/03/2025: The best restaurant I've ever been to in Ireland! Excellent, well-presented food, and a very welcoming waiter. I definitely recommend it!

15/03/2025: We had a delicious meal in Sage last night. Eva very kindly contacted me when a cancellation table became available and we were so delighted to have the opportunity to eat at Sage again. The specials - starter and main - were so flavoursome and there was a great selection of wine. The service was excellent, as always. It was a really delicious dining experience. We’ll be back again for sure.

10/04/2025: Although we didn't have a reservation Morans were able to accommodate us in their outdoor area which was really warm and we had delicious prawn curry. Staff were lovely. Highly recommend!

15/04/2025: Superb dinner with friends. Not only was the food excellent, the service was warm & friendly. Shout out to Ruby & our lovely waitress! We had the bread and butter (delicious butter btw), mussels, pork chop & risotto. All meals were outstanding. Dine in the snug room for a special event like a birthday celebration. Would easily return with a larger group.

15/04/2025: If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Took a day trip to Galway in search of seafood. We stopped at a restaurant for some oysters and prior to leaving our waitress recommended we head to Ard Bia for mussels, so we did! Holy cow—they were absolutely phenomenal!! The mussels were fresh, cooked to perfection, and the sauce they were in was incredible. The mussels basically melted in your mouth—something I’ll dream about for years to come. We followed our lunch with tea for two and coffee cake, both of which did not disappoint. The coffee cake was just sweet enough but not too much, and the caramel drizzled on top was chewy deliciousness—perfect with a nice cuppa. I hope to one day eat here again because it was as by far the best meal we have had on our two week journey.

11/04/2025: Always great food here…but also amazing service. The whole team are so welcoming & attentive, the main chef himself popping out to deliver dishes & tell you where they originate from. Very laid back vibe in the restaurant, makes you feel comfortable straight away. Definitely recommend anyone in the area to make a visit!

23/03/2025: Food, staff, atmosphere. Unbelievable. Easily located, so accommodating. Staff are unbelievably good with how attentive they are to dishes and pairings. Any questions asked you're still made feel welcome. Will be back again and have already recommended multiple people. Cheers for a great evening and delicious food and drinks. Ps even a late serve that is sold out they will find a way to make something work. That is unheard of!

18/03/2025: We found food in Bodega to be incredibly tasty: both meaning that it has a strong taste and that the taste is deeply enjoyable. That's a very good reason to give it a second chance as the rest (service and atmosphere) was not where we would have liked it to be. We went in on a very busy night and so we're ready for some sub optimal things. We were surprised when we got our food in 12 mins (not what you would expect for a crispy duck leg and fresh pasta). We were also quite disappointed when the 2 cocktails we ordered arrived when we were toward the end of our main, after we had to solicit them and the waiters came back a couple of times to clarify the orders they had taken. The atmosphere was very lively but seeing waiters literally running up and down the place and repeatedly dropping glasses and glass bottles didn't help having a relaxing enjoyable night. That contested with them literally stopping to talk to customers who were paying to go and hugh other customers who were leaving. It didn't help that at the table right close to us there was a very loud group of friends celebrating someone's birthday.

01/11/2024: Been a few times over the years which have been fantastic. However this time wasn't great since they moved location. Chips clearly frozen, fish ok but scamp was tough. Not sure what happened this time

29/10/2024: Very disappointed after hearing all the hype about this place, fish and chips were not great batter not nice ,scampi was the worst I've ever had in my life ,only ate two pieces as it was like chewing rubber it was completely disgusting and was clearly overlooked .Won't be trying again.

06/03/2025: Had a fantastic meal here on Thursday 27th February. We had just arrived to Kinsale after a long drive and we walked in on spec, without a booking (not recommended) even though it was very busy the gentleman waiter accommodated us. We didn’t catch his name but was wearing glasses and had very cool tattoos (if you are reading this, thank you again) The meal itself was beautiful and served to perfection. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Really nice atmosphere and vibe in the restaurant too. A lovely place to sit and have a great meal. This was our first meal on our first night in Kinsale and it really set the tone for a great holiday. Thank you.

01/03/2025: 5/5. We had a great experience. Attilla was perfect. Food gorgeous. Cocktails good. But service to be honest was perfect. Exactly the rate mix of helpful and efficient. As a wheelchair driver, we barely got out the question “Is it Wheelchair accessible “ when we were brought in under the table was beside the door he used…. Definitely, the next trip to Dublin will involve another trip to the boxty house.

27/02/2025: Fab atmosphere, we had not booked but we were offered a table. It was midweek and I would imagine booking essential at weekends and further into season. Our host was a lovely person, David. He was helpful, welcoming and so very funny. He helped us negotiate a menu unfamiliar to us and ensured that everything we needed was covered. I cannot praise him enough. The meal was amazing and delicious. We had a dessert- probably shouldn’t have as we were pretty full from main course BUT it, again, was delicious. David was warned he would have to winch us out of the restaurant! We had a wonderful evening and David made it a very memorable time for us. Thank you!
