07/02/2026: I stumbled upon the wonderful Mimosa restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff very professional. I particularly enjoyed the duck and the desserts; the pastry chef is remarkably creative. I recommend Mimosa to anyone visiting Karlov. Located on College Street in Karlov, across from the Cathedral.

08/03/2026: Would recommend it to italian food lovers. Im just not one of them and little to no alternative. So if you enjoy italian food it's the place for you.

25/02/2026: It's no longer the place it used to be. At first, the food was quite good. But now the only redeeming feature is the pizza. We were there yesterday, and honestly, if we're talking about the food, it wasn't a great experience. The lasagna tasted of nothing, the fusilli had vodka too.

01/01/2026: Booked for a New Year's Eve dinner, we've had food here on a couple of occasions and we were never disappointed. We adore this part of the south east, it's a pleasure to eat in this total gem! The very best of Irish hospitality on our door step. Wonderful friendly service, couldn't fault anything. The food is very inventive and fresh, attention to detail is outstanding. Each meal a work of art!

21/12/2025: A true rural Irish gem! We visit every Christmas and are always impressed. The Michelin-starred quality is evident in every dish, all made with local produce. Portions are perfectly sized and include lovely seasonal veg. Make sure to book well in advance—it's worth it just for the bread rolls 🍞

13/12/2025: Love a meal here whenever we are in Carlow , good good and service , staff are really good and pleasant .

08/12/2025: Had a nice Cesar Salad with plenty of parmesan. The chicken was breaded so good luck on the calories count but nice as well. Apple pie wasn’t bad either but wish it had some cinnamon or winter spice. Parking is on street or the omniplex across the road ( pay options in both cases). Best thing here is the commitment to value that not many places still have. Will return.

07/12/2025: Small gardens and you need to pay fee even to enter coffee shop (not gardens). And queue, of course. Everything is very slow like it is supposed to be in this kind of gardens.

Woodford Dolmen Hotel

25/10/2025: We had our wedding in the Woodford Dolmen last weekend, and I am forever grateful!! From the reception staff to the housekeepers, everyone was so friendly. A special mention to the manager, Will, who was on duty the day of our wedding. The food and drinks were of a high standard through our entire stay. All of our guests have been raving about their experiences! Thank you ever so much for helping to make our day so special. We will certainly be back.
