12/01/2026: Edit: have never had an issue til this eve. Facebook, website, your app, all showing that use are open. Ive rang and rang and cant get through to anyone. Closed/open i dont actually know, need to be updating your app/google with correct opening.But could I have my 30 quid back please! 🙏🏻 We always get it delivered and I can't fault the place. Food is always lovely and delivered on time. Spice bag is my favourite.

18/10/2025: Me and friend ordered a 10 euro spicebag. To our surprise, it arrived in a very shallow Styrofoam rectangle. This surprised us, as we're usually used to a bag filled with chicken, chips, onion, and peppers. We then opened the box and to our displeasure we found 8 pieces of tiny shredded chicken and chips that tasted like they've been sat out for weeks and soaked in old oil.

15/10/2025: This take away is one of the best Chinese. The food is delicious, their curry is my favourite in town and anything else I've tried is also really good. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

15/03/2026: Zweton. CASTLETROY Restaurant. Family of 4, Mother's day treat, 6.00pm. We had to ask twice for our order to be taken. Starters came out in good enough time. After a long wait there was no sign of our main courses. When I asked about our order, the reply I got was "yeah yeah it's coming". A further 15 minutes I had to go to the reception area and I was gestured that they were coming. Then.....4 bowls of rice and 2 main courses arrive. After another 15 minutes, the 2 other mains hadn't arrived. As I got up to enquire, the 2 remaining mains were brought out. I mentioned that the 2 people who had received theirs had almost finished. The waiter/manager (I presume) basically said we are very busy, sorry. I replied fair enough but we would all like to have eaten our meals together. Quite agitated he replied "Ive already apologised, do you still want your food?". Yes, we ate our food but the evening was ruined...and paid full price. I wont be going back to the Castletroy Restaurant in a hurry.

15/03/2026: Drove half an hour to the location , have ordered multiple times before , have had sit down meals multiple times before also,rang twice for collection and no answer , got there at 8:20pm and lady at desk told me I couldn’t order they are closed as a “special day” , this was advertised nowhere , really unprofessional for people travelling in to order and they did not seen apologetic . After years of attending I won’t be attending again .

31/12/2025: I ordered food a hour and a half ago, and nothing! I payed for it and you did not deliver, I strongly suggest that nobody gets anything of them, shame on the person that runs that place. I'll come down tomorrow and get my money back, not nice! I can't give minus because that's what you deserve.

01/01/2026: I wouldnt even give this place a 1 star only you have to give it something. Ordered from here got raw chicken in my spice bag. Said they would refund me but it never came back to my bank. Then had to ring up and argue with them over it and eventually they said i could come up and collect the refund in cash. Only giving €50 back and then had the audacity to tell me they wouldnt be taking anymore orderes from my adress 🤣🤣🤣 I would never order out of the shithole again anyway serving raw chicken two days before xmas aswell.

19/11/2025: Tiny portions and very expensive. Ordered a few times and they are miserable with the amount of food they give you.

15/11/2025: Raheny Chinese used to be the best in the Area but over the past few years especially after covid their food portions have halved in size their chicken balls and skewered chicken satay are a disgrace tiny portions but prices have increased substantially . Meat and shellfish in their curries have shrunk substantially. Shrinkflation at its worst with prices approaching what restaurants charge.

02/11/2025: So, we ordered it for delivery… the food came relatively on time. But, instead of fried noodles we got probably the most plain fried rice we have eaten. The spring roll had nothing to do with spring and was fatter than the french fries at Mcdonalds. We could sqish the oil out of it. It would be nice if that has been declared. We got chips as an extra so that was nice and everything was packaged well.

01/01/2026: Ordered a munchie box and fried rice for delivery, rice never arrived driver said they'll be back with it waited for them to return tried calling to find out where my rice was to no answer I've been charged for an item that never came

22/11/2025: I ordered noodles with chicken without veggies and still I found some veggies inside(onion which I hate). Food was 100% microwaved and not fresh. I couldn’t to feel any proper oyster sauce in it. The chicken was dry. I wouldn’t recommend to eat there.

05/02/2026: Food was very nice but the blonde lady behind the counter is extremely rude and refused to accommodate my allergen request as it was ‘a big hassle’ the lady was very rude from my arrival to the restaurant until me leaving. She was very nosy and kept asking personal questions that made me very uncomfortable and upset. This behaviour shouldn’t be the case in Mulan at all because the food is very nice but it’s just this one member of the team ruining the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant to suit her own agenda. Once again the food was nice it was just the encounter with this staff that has put me off ever visiting here again

03/02/2026: The spicy bag is not like it used to be, the chips and chicken are dry and stale. The delivery is always late and forgetting the drinks, I understand a once off but this is consistent now

12/12/2025: Like all places in Carrick starts off well, then quality just goes down hill so quickly. Bought 3 spice bag yesterday, all 3 had stale tasting chicken and chips that tasted like the day before leftover thrown back in the oil and on top of that all 3 bag were so bland had no taste no flavor no seasoning no veg just stale old breaded chicken and chips. DISAPPOINTING. NEVER AGAIN

21/11/2025: Really let down. Id go weekly to chungs and had been really happy. But last night u went and it's made me not want to go back. I asked the gentleman about something they made before he said yes no problem a young girl took my order and kept rushing and giving me my total cost and I hadn't even finished my order. Even the lady waiting behind commented I finally finished ordering and paid but I could understand how the order cost so much. I waited in the car and went to collect my order. I asked if she could check my order was all there and correct as before it had been wrong so now I always check before I leave. She said yes but didn't even check. So I checked myself to find a shot glass amount of curry sauce in a tub when I had ordered a large. I asked the gentleman then please could he check the price and I was 100% over charged. I had paid with my phone. And I was right €12 over charged. Where he then told me he refund the full amount then take for it again. I told him he cant as I dont gave the amount on that card to pay a second time as refunds take a few days to come back into my bank. He was very rude and almost blaming me for there mistakes. I said cant u just do a €12 refund and shouting no no I cant very pi**y tone of voice. I then told him I dont have the card ull just have to give me it in cash then. Which in the end he did. I actually felt sorry for the young girl who was obviously getting trained in and had no experience i had reasured her it happens well sort it but the gentleman was very rude to her. The food wasn't great either salt and chilli chips were burnt and the tub of rice was only id say a half portion. Really disappointed as I had previously enjoyed going to chungs but this has put me off.

24/01/2026: Food was all great, and ready ahead of time, even on a Friday night at 7pm ish (Only knocked a star off because the review system only takes you through to Google if you leave a high enough rating!)

20/01/2026: Friday 16th January 2026 our wedding aniversary, we have always had a lovely meal from Lee Garden.. But this time it was Vile, unedible..... We order chicken chow mein that was dripping in water, huge amounts of water..... crispy shredded beef was white chewy and looked awful.... chicken balls had been re fried they were dry and very over cooked.... We instantly called Lee Garden and told them, we took pictures, they refused us a refund and the Manager could not be bothered to call us back.... DON'T USE THIS PLACE

12/01/2026: Golden Dragon, Kilmuckridge The woman behind the counter showed appalling customer service. As a regular trying to pay by card for a munch box, I was rudely told there’s a €15 minimum and it’s cash only — “you should know this by now.” On another occasion, after being charged extra for sauce, I had to walk back to my car in pouring rain. When I returned soaking wet, she had the nerve to laugh at me. This behaviour is humiliating, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. After seeing numerous bad reviews, I’m shocked this place is still allowed to operate. I will never set foot here again.

28/12/2025: Great local Chinese takeaway. Lovely food and friendly staff. Delivery is fast and Excellent value. Highly recommend.
