17/06/2025: Food came out five minutes after we ordered ,chicken was so dry it was cooked for a long time and deep fried again and coated in sauce ,so poor ,head waiter needs to learn how to smile and greet guests properly,very poor waiter We had sweet & sour chicken ,baby back ribs ,Chinatown beef & Cantonese duck ,the drinks weren't even on the table when the sweet n sour chicken balls came out and the ribs ,which was poor to be honest all dishes were poor and lacked flavour ,the hina town beef was suppose to have five spice in it ,it was no existent the chicken balls were grey inside & dry which meant they were cooked for ages and re cooked again in fryer & sauced up,Duck was over cooked and dry, I paid up to €80 for food that was very poor & the head waiter didn't help with his attitude like he didn't want to be there at all

18/08/2025: Since trying this restaurant several times, I can honestly say it has been one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The kitchen is extremely greasy and unhygienic, and the staff at the cashier often handle money and food at the same time. The food I bought was dirty and unpleasant to eat — many dishes taste overly sweet and artificial. After eating here, I had stomach problems, including diarrhea. They frequently insist on cash payments and never provide receipts. Even when you pay, the food is more expensive than neighboring restaurants, yet the quality is far worse. Their marketing relies only on carefully edited photos, which are very misleading. On several occasions, I personally saw shocking behavior: for example, chicken pieces that had fallen on the floor were picked up and served to the next customer. This shows a complete lack of basic food hygiene standards. An even more ridiculous experience happened when my neighbor’s child accidentally placed an order on Just Eat but forgot to cancel. When they called the restaurant, the person answering, who claimed to be the Asian owner named Caroline, refused to give a refund. She insisted it was the customer’s fault and even called Just Eat to block the refund. This is unacceptable business practice. The food here is overpriced, unsafe, and handled without the slightest care for customer health. I deeply regret ever ordering from this place. For your own safety, do not eat here.

13/07/2025: Physically sick after eating from here tonight. Food not cooked. Raw chicken. Reporting this place to FSA. Very dirty eat out off there 2 times and both times felt sick won't be back again!

30/08/2025: Food was okay bit over cooked and very bland wasn't really happy with the food normally its fairly okay as I am a regular customer but tonight it just wasn't as good as it normally is

20/06/2025: The young waitress is a gem. An asset to the restaurant. Polite, friendly and very efficient.

18/08/2025: Ordered takeaway delivered to local campsite. Menu is clever, all takeaways should do similar, it breaks down dishes by meat and then choose sauce. It was expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants. E.g. a side of brocoli was €9. But wow was the broccoli good! Honey chicken starter was yummy too. Delivery driver was friendly and efficient. Great dinner, would recommend.

14/07/2025: We really liked it, 👍 needed a sit down meal at tea time ⏲️ instead of a takeaway and this fitted the bill nicely. The service was excellent as we were the only ones eating but they were very busy with dishing out takeaways fast and furious so other people must have liked the food which was a good sign for us. The food was excellent and we had a starter and a main meal each and there was plenty of choice for drinks and iu chose the Tsingteo beer as it's Chinese. The only downside was we wanted a coffee ☕️ each afterwards 😕 and the machine hadn't worked for ages even a kettle would have given us a brew 😉.

20/08/2025: Loved Wilton, but you see I am in Hospital. So ordered the Happy Bucket for myself It should be called the Party Bucket. Of Happy Party Bucket. . Box Ect. Lovely food Just far too much. Besides that. Loved it!!

23/08/2025: Excellent Chinese restaurant. When we walked in it was warm, but when we told them they switched on the ac. The food was tasty. The crispy duck with rice was tasty but the quantity of the duck was not sufficient in m opinion. Everything else was great.

18/08/2025: If you like dry chicken that tastes like wood covered in sugary sauce this it the place for you. Never again. Way over priced for woeful food.

23/08/2025: Absolutely disheartened. Order a curry box and on the physical menu it says and shows two exactly different things . It looked like it was shoved into the box and the chicken was very chewy and the noodles were very over done , physically feel like getting sick . Never ordering from here again.

21/08/2025: It's fine, it's affordable. It is a bit messy. The state of their toilets is a joke. If that is the cleanlieness level in an area accessible to customers, it would make you think what the cleanliness is like in areas customers cant access.

18/08/2025: Ordered a takeaway which came extremely quick (within 15 minutes). Ordered a spice box for €8 which contained about 15 chips and 5 small pieces of chicken, wouldn’t have fed a 5 year old. Got a portion of chicken fried rice that was covered in some weird brown sauce that ruined the whole dish, would never ordered from here again, awful value for money

27/04/2025: I had a lovely dinner here, food was delicious, big portions, decent price, nice ambiance, super nice staff. Very much recommended, must try in Mullingar.❤️❤️❤️

21/07/2025: I’ve given Mandarin House multiple chances, but unfortunately, it’s been a consistently disappointing experience. I’ve had my order messed up on at least three separate occasions, and each time I’ve tried to raise the issue, I’ve been met with poor customer service. There’s never any accountability—just the same response that “there’s nothing they can do about it.” Not even a simple apology. To be fair, the food itself is actually quite good. But for me, the quality just doesn’t make up for the hassle of dealing with repeated mistakes and unhelpful service. Sadly, I won’t be ordering from them again.

27/06/2025: Absolutely heavenly once you know what you like. All these bad reviews have only tired one thing but once you have a few dishes you like this place is easy, delicious and reliable. The food is ready super fast and the staff are really nice people. The fried rice, spice bag, sides of rice, noodles and curry sauce are some of my favourite foods. I recently climbed Ben Nevis and could not wait to get home and have a familiar comforting meal. Truly a place I know I can always reliable on and hold close to my heart.

14/09/2025: As a frequent visitor ,there was days you would be frustrated with the place ,but the experience i had last night was one of the best food was delicious service brilliant very much reminds me for when it first opened hopefully this continues

22/08/2025: Drove 50km round trip to get food from this takeaway and was not disappointed. King prawn chow mien , chicken balls, salt & chilly crispy prawns all amazing. Definitely be back.👍

28/05/2025: Me and my partner have been ordering from here for about two years and the food is always amazing. Delivery is always fast and staff are absolutely lovely when picking up in store. Best spice bag in the town. Can't recommend it enough!
