10/10/2026: Usually love Golden Valley and it’s our weekly takeaway spot, however the past 2-3 times food quality has been very poor. Spicebag has changed with no onions and caked with dry powder, chicken was rubbery and hard to eat and the chips are inedible and just stale

14/04/2026: Yet another price increase. Totally not worth it. Food was substandard. Chips were obviously reheated. Interior needs a new coat of paint. Everything looks tired, I cannot understand how they keep raising the price despite the decline in overall food quality. Ridiculous

07/09/2026: Ordered from this place last week, took the food home absolutely horrible. I rang the shop since numerous times for a refund and the owner is uncontactable no email no number. The manager is very rude and is very unwilling to amend any issues. Will never be retuning to this business again. Terrible food and staff.

12/09/2026: Took a takeaway - beef chowmein and veg singapore chowmein. The taste was very bad. Had to throw it away.

26/07/2026: Sweet and sour chicken is like rubber.I complained and was told I had eaten it which I had not.Bad customer service and rude staff.No compensation for the bad food given .Asked to see the manager and was told none available.It’s beyond belief the service they give here.

27/09/2026: I used to adore this takeaway it is always so clean and staff are great. The chicken curry is normally amazing but over the last few week the chicken is different its like they are velveting the chicken or getting awful chicken it's so disappointing it tastes rubbery and cheap, I hope they will go back to the way it was

14/09/2026: I've eaten here before and it was delicious. Just got a family takeaway and it was disgusting. Tasteless, Rock hard chicken in chicken balls. Spring rolls soggy from being in the same box as curry chips. Spring rolls are crispy, not soggy from curry sauce!! Bland curry sauce. This has gone as bad as Milltown!

23/04/2026: We visited as a group of three while traveling around Ireland, and this was easily one of the best meals we had on our trip. The shop was incredibly clean and had a great atmosphere. Every dish we ordered tasted fantastic. I'd highly recommend the food here! A special shout-out to Patrick, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Excellent food and even better service

18/09/2026: I ordered thai curry and rice, this was by far the worst thai curry i have ever had and i love thai curry and have had this from many other places and made it myself couple of times. The rice were undercooked they couldn’t even get basic plain rice cooked correctly let alone the curry. Don’t waste your money go elsewhere.

08/10/2026: Order for delivery at half five and had to ring a hour and a half later to see where the food was and the women on the phone said oh we cook it now and took another 40 minutes to come out and the food came out cold chips were overcooked everything was medium heat not hot fried noddles were dry and had a piece of a raw carrot in it and I feel sorry for the delivery driver as he was so apologetic and wasn’t his fault

26/07/2026: Ordered today: My husband had the chicken curry and he said it was “okay”. I ordered Lemon chicken and am I sorry. The chicken was bathed in a sauce that was a dishwater colour with bits of pineapple in it. The chicken itself seemed ok but the sauce actually tasted like soapy water. I haven’t left the bathroom and I only ate the smallest bit. The fried rice seemed okay but again once some sauce was put on it tasted sticky and sickly. Will never order from here again.

13/01/2026: Normally a perfect Chinese. But tonight order was messed up and offered to keep the wrong delivery after overpaying and told it wasn't there fault all I wanted was my prawn toast hopefully you dont get the customer service I got tonight

13/05/2026: Chicken frie rice was very poor, it was boiled rice, a lot of peas and carrots and a few little bits of chicken. Didn't touch a wok in my opinion. 3 in 1 was ok. The ribs were a good portion and the sauce was nice.

04/05/2026: Got the Spicy Salt and Chilli Chips today and they had sugar on them, which I wasn’t expecting. When I called, I was told that’s just how they make them. I said it wasn’t for me and I wouldn't order that again, but got told, 'I could find them somewhere else, thanks' and she hung up the phone. Rang back and spoke with who I believe may have been the owner/manager and was told I basically shouldn’t be calling to complain, thats how they make them for the last 25 years . He felt she wasn't rude in how she handled the call as he was next to her. Fair enough if that’s their recipe, but the way it was handled wasn’t great.

24/08/2026: Ordered food here last night to the value of €80 euro older Chinese lady was absolutely so rude . Got our order after one hour waiting for it only to discover they forgot half . When we approached the older lady she told me not to be complaining !!! Never again shall I enter the doors of yere restaurant . Phones were ringing as I was there staff completely ignoring the calls . Young girl behind the counter having to correct the older ladies mistake . Avoid avoid avoid !!!

24/08/2026: Staff were extremely slow to seat us, and to bring us menus when we finally did receive them it took 15 mins to even approach us to take our food order, we were a larger table of 5 but several tables around us had the same experience, it then took an additional 10 mins to drop over the drinks 3 cans of Coke and then am additional 10 mins to drop over a jug of water. The staff were clearly more focused on the take away orders than ourselves, while it wasnt busy they were never neglective towards us, the food took approximately 45 mins to arrive and came out in Drips and drabs, my son got a chicken curry and the rice arrive 15 mins later the curry came out. And at this stage my young son had finished his rice, i had to continuously ask where our food was, and keep being fobbed off with just 1 minute. There was also a commastion at the counter with a paying taxe away customer waiting 2 hours for a meal and rewuesting a refund but was refused as " The food is out for delivery " The whole experience was terrible and I wont be going back here again
