06/03/2026: Very lovely food outstanding curry

08/01/2026: The food is a typical cheap chinese that isn't so cheap. Some of the dishes are ok like the curry, others use a bland basic fish sauce. The owners are very nice people but the woman on the till is very rude and always smoking outside and smells of booze. No gluten free options really as its all fried together.

04/04/2026: China kitchen does serve the best spice bag in Ireland but today I got only 5 small chicken pieces in a small spice bag. Very disappointed.

16/05/2026: Tir Na Ri impressed me. I was in two minds about ordering a takeaway, but I’m glad I did. Friendly service from a lovely lady, quick ordering, and both cash and card accepted. The Cantonese duck, noodles, and sweet and sour chicken were all tasty. I’ll definitely order again soon.

10/05/2026: They were very nice and the food was quick but it tasted awful we couldn't eat it. Maybe we are just used to better tasting Chinese food and usually I don't leave bad reviews but this was bad news. We were desperately hungry and we ended up just trashing it. Lovely people and I'm sorry to leave this review. If you really need Chinese food I guess but wasn't for us.

14/04/2026: Yet another price increase. Totally not worth it. Food was substandard. Chips were obviously reheated. Interior needs a new coat of paint. Everything looks tired, I cannot understand how they keep raising the price despite the decline in overall food quality. Ridiculous

04/04/2026: Gone far too expensive now for what you get. My same order is 3€ cheaper in the red rice. I have been a very regular customer there for a long time and go into collect the same order once a week. It comes to 24.80 but they refuse to give me a small bag of free prawn crackers unless I spend 25€. I have even offered to make up the difference or even give a tip which would bring the order over 25€ but they won’t do it. Given I spend at €1000 a year in the place I find this incredible. The girl behind the counter would hardly look at you never mind say hello to you. Incredibly stingy and very poor customer service.

13/01/2026: Normally a perfect Chinese. But tonight order was messed up and offered to keep the wrong delivery after overpaying and told it wasn't there fault all I wanted was my prawn toast hopefully you dont get the customer service I got tonight

15/02/2026: Ordered on deliveroo and just before it hit my delivery time, got a call from a lovely lovely worker called jay who apologized for the inconvenience and let me know the delivery would be delayed as they were so busy with orders (completely get it, i work in retail and valentines is mental). rang again after a little while for an update and got through to jay again who rang the courier to see how long it would take! lovely food but even lovelier employees. thanks for getting my birthday dinner to me 💗

22/12/2025: I ordered salt & chiilli chicken I ate 2 pieces and realised it was lyk jelly in the inside it was completely raw I didn’t eat anymore of it I rang in 2 complain the lady that answered was very rude and asked me what can she do about that she said she would call me back in 10mins and lied I am very worried hopefully we won’t get sick for Xmas I feel disgusted please have this food place closed down before someone gets sick from it !!!🤢🤢🤢🤮

01/08/2025: I ordered my food online at 9.45. I rang them 8 times no answer and still no order and they took my money off my account, I am extremely angry here , I am a regular customer, it's now 11.20 and no food , they will be getting a phone call and a very angry person on the phone and I will be going uo to get my money back , not happy at all

12/03/2026: Order placed an hour and twenty minutes. Called twice & told order is with the driver. This is the second bad experience recently with this place.

06/01/2026: We have used the restaurant a few times and everything was excellent from the interactions with all the staff to the food. Wanted Chinese tonight and couldn’t decide so orders munchie box for pick-up. The pizza box, going to be honest looked suspicious. Herself raised an eyebrow when I got home. Everything was as nicely presented as possible, it was piping hot. All the food including the chips were cooked perfectly and crispy. Definitely one of the better Chinese takeaways we have had over the years.

06/04/2026: Used to come here years ago and gave it another shot. Ordered the black bean tofu- But tasted more like onion and gravy. Fried rice was bland & ended up throwing whole £20 order in the bin

08/02/2026: Very disappointed with the food we got this evening. We got a munchie box, noodles and a 4in1. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old oil that was used on fish. It actually turned my stomach. Takeaways are not cheap and we were very irritated at the quality of the food the last two times we have ordered. Will not be ordering from here again.

07/04/2026: With yesterday been an Easter bank holiday Monday 6th April 2026 there was very little restaurants open early in afternoon in the town. I stumbled across this one. Service was great and friendly. Both the starter and main meal didn't disappoint. Unfortunately very little to choose from alcohol wise. No dessert menu if you plan on ordering one. Overall a nice restaurant.

12/03/2026: Ordered vegetable chow mein, a very basic dish to get right, it was watery and bland, not to mention it had no colour, like they didn't even use soy sauce. This is my second time trying this takeaway and I was just as disappointed, last time the dish was also watery, seemed like they didn't use proper ingredients and vegetables have just been unfrozen. Would not recommend.

26/02/2026: Went to konglam for a take away last night. The young lady behind the counter was so helpful and pleasant. I think her name was Kate. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend as the best Chinese in Birr
