05/04/2026: food really nice. woman over the phone very rude. called me broke and spoke to me very rudely. 0/10 social skills over the phone.

12/07/2026: Unless it's fried it all seems to be full of water! The spicy chips and prawn crackers are OK but the Chow Mein was so awful we put it outside for the foxes and even they wouldn't eat it! Some boiled chicken with frozen mixed veg and what looked like pot noodles floating in a load of water with a slight taste of beef dripping. No spices at all. THAT IS NOT CHOW MEIN!!! And not cheap at €12.50 either. Because they are the only Chinese in town that is the problem - no competition therefore you get what they give you. They are faster than McDonald's at getting your food ready which is a definite red flag.

12/07/2026: Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I have a dairy intolerance, so I always ask about ingredients before ordering. The first time I visited, I was assured the satay sauce didn't contain dairy. After eating it, I became extremely bloated and felt very sick. When I returned, I was told the satay sauce actually contained butter, which is a dairy ingredient. On a later visit, I explained what had happened and was reassured that the black bean sauce was dairy-free because the kitchen had checked. Unfortunately, after eating it, I once again became very bloated and unwell. I can't say for certain what caused the second reaction, but based on my experience, I don't have confidence that dairy-free requirements are being managed reliably. If you have a dairy intolerance, milk allergy, coeliac disease, or another dietary requirement, I'd be very cautious about eating here. It's also concerning that the food is prepared and ready so quickly. My meals have often been ready in around 10 minutes, which left me wondering how much is freshly cooked to order. I also feel the overall quality of the food has declined. Personally, I'd rather travel somewhere like Swinford, where there is more competition, more choice, and I have greater confidence in restaurants accommodating dietary requirements.

27/07/2026: Staff in the restaurant are rude and want you to leave as quick as you arrive. I asked where the fish were gone as they weren’t in the tank and the lady snapped that I wasn’t allowed to sit beside the tank even though I wasn’t asking that. They took my daughter’s food away while she was eating it. Egg fried rice was just overcooked rice and egg mixed together. Horrible. My daughter stood up and a staff member came over to tell her to sit back down. This was a Monday night in Lucan so not exactly busy. We won’t be returning. There is nothing welcoming about this place. It’s like being an unwanted guest in someone’s house who is paranoid you’ll steal the cutlery so they clear it while you’re still using it and make you want to leave asap.

07/07/2026: Monday night 10:30pm, I ordered the ThaiGreen chicken curry, chips, boiled rice and half portion of chicken balls with the satay sauce. Haven't eaten Chinese in a year or so and this spot never let me down. It was probably the nicest takeaway I've had in years. Fresh, hot and more than I could eat. Although I gave it a brave go. Stunning, a strong word, but 100% deserved. Blows other Chinese takeaways in the town out of the water. This place is never hit and miss, it always produces quality food. We'll done to chefs....

07/06/2026: I order a 3/1 for delivery. First of all they told me the food would be a half a hour it took ONE hour. When I received the food there was a bad smell of a burning fag. I then tasted the food to see if it tasted weird and it tasted like a biting ash tray.

09/06/2026: This is my local restaurant and I love the food. It is also to be recommended for tourists in that it’s great food snd the Castletownsend pub (sports/music) bar is next door

30/05/2026: Ordered a takeaway. It was horrible. It tasted stale; the chicken in the main meal was rock hard, and especially the satay skewers, dry and hard as a bone. This place has gone downhill rapidly.

13/05/2026: Chicken frie rice was very poor, it was boiled rice, a lot of peas and carrots and a few little bits of chicken. Didn't touch a wok in my opinion. 3 in 1 was ok. The ribs were a good portion and the sauce was nice.

04/05/2026: Got the Spicy Salt and Chilli Chips today and they had sugar on them, which I wasn’t expecting. When I called, I was told that’s just how they make them. I said it wasn’t for me and I wouldn't order that again, but got told, 'I could find them somewhere else, thanks' and she hung up the phone. Rang back and spoke with who I believe may have been the owner/manager and was told I basically shouldn’t be calling to complain, thats how they make them for the last 25 years . He felt she wasn't rude in how she handled the call as he was next to her. Fair enough if that’s their recipe, but the way it was handled wasn’t great.

28/06/2026: Prefer to take out as it is cheaper. If the atmosphere was better we might consider dining in. We normally pick up and the timing has always been 20-30 minutes from ordering, just enough time to drive into Dungarvan. Good menu. I'm a teriyaki girl and buy their sauce separately.

31/05/2026: Ordered the wan ton soup from Noark's expecting a light, comforting bowl of soup. What arrived instead was a thick yellow liquid that looked like someone had dissolved a lemon grove into wallpaper paste and seasoned it with pure aggression. The broth was so lemony my face folded in on itself after the first spoonful. Then came the spice. Not a pleasant warmth, not a gentle kick, but a full-scale assault on my taste buds. Every sip felt like being interrogated by a citrus fruit with anger issues. As for the wan tons themselves, they seemed to be trapped inside this strange concoction, desperately trying to escape. I've had wan ton soup from many places, and this bore absolutely no resemblance to any of them. It was like someone had heard a vague description of wan ton soup second-hand and then recreated it from memory after being hit on the head. I finished three spoonfuls before accepting defeat and questioning several of my life choices. If you're looking for traditional wan ton soup, keep looking. If you're looking for a spicy lemon-based science experiment with the consistency of gravy, this may be the dish for you.

24/05/2026: Lovely little take away. Stopped on our walk round Lismore. Lovely lady on counter gave dog a drink and a biscuit. Food was nice and loads of it. Would use again if we're in the area

16/08/2026: YOOO i made an order and i didn’t know that the chicken spring rolls came with sweet and sour sauce, and the wokking warrior told me, so i didn’t have to spend extra money, WHAT A LEGEND. So i just wanna say thanks to everyone that was in wokking today ye are the best!! the food was dihlicious too.

19/06/2026: Being new the Limerick, we were so excited to try another new casual dining spot but we'll never return to Wok King on O'Connell Street. The menu posted outside sounded delicious but the actual food served was far from it. The beef in black bean sauce was just okay, nothing special at all but their kung pao chicken was absolutely disgusting. The tasteless sauce was literally neon orange, it didn't even look like real sauce for human consumption and nearly matched the ceiling paint colour. After one bite I put my fork down, it wasn't edible. I took my bowl to the counter, which is very much out of charactor for me, but I wanted to share with the staff member, that my dish wasn't good. I asked if I could order something else instead, "no, we don't do that, that's how it tastes." I than asked if l could get a refund, "no, we're not going to do that." After a few awkward moments, my plate was rudeing taken away, "what do you want to eat?" I ordered a chicken in black bean sauce that we were 99.9% sure that my previous chicken had been water rinsed and reused to serve to me.

02/08/2026: 12.5 % service charge ..??? FOR WHAT? We brought 15 people that they wouldn't have had, and we get charged 12.5% extra for bringing that business. Because it's a bigger group??? Thats a flawed business plan guys. You wont see us again.
