18/12/2025: Had the most delicious pizza here recently, and the garlic bread was divine! The staff are so friendly, its such a lovely cosy pub with a really nice atmosphere. Will definately be back👍

23/11/2025: Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but the staff member who served me was rude and passed the terminal for my payment and walked off no thank you or a smile I wanted to say your in a job because of people like me paying for your rubbish customer skills but what would be the point as she had done a runner to gossip to her mate behind the bar. And the toilet disgusting and dirty perhaps if the staff spent less time pulling their mobiles out of their back pocket might help them smile a bit more

16/11/2025: Lovely little bar. Comfy seating, good drinks and friendly people. I didn't have any food, as was on a night out and had already eaten, but I'm sure of they have a menu, it's likely to be a good one.

24/12/2025: Awesome tacos and great drinks at Black Dog Tacos! One of the few places in town where you can get really good quality tacos — fresh, flavorful, and packed with tasty ingredients. The drinks are just as good, with a nice selection that goes perfectly with the food. The vibe is fun and relaxed, and the staff are welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re craving tacos and a great drink in Cork! 🌮🍹

02/11/2025: We ordered the communion package last May. The ordering process was very easy, Audrey was very helpful. The food was ready on time, all delicious and everyone was complimenting it. I’d definitely order again.

09/10/2025: They brought several cupcakes at work for an event, I tried the chocolate and strawberry one and I've never tasted so artificial flavours before. The chocolate tasted like those chocolate easter eggs you get at the supermarket where the chocolate gets white after a while cause its so cheap and the strawberry had so much sugar in it my teeth started to ache.

15/01/2026: Lovely food. Usually good service. Not today though. The girl behind the counter taking orders and money was completely disinterested. No eye contact. No smile. Rude. When you're there to spend almost 20 rag for your munch for breakfast you'd like to feel like you're welcomed to the establishment. Not today. The nose ringed, arm tattooed, gum chewing cashier just didn't make us feel welcomed. That's enough to sway me to never patronise the calf gaff ever again. Shame really. Coz as I say... The food is good. I'm not gonna be made feel like an unwanted customer though. Unwanted? Fair enough. They're not getting my service again. Bye bye.

23/11/2025: I had a craving for a good toastie all week and I immediately thought of De Calf. Toastie is excellent. Nice coffee. Friendly and efficient service. Warm atmosphere.

02/10/2025: Came here on a busy day when they were really understaffed. The staff were so lovely and patient with everyone even though they were clearly stressed. Very impressed

13/09/2025: Server was lovely. But! I got ONE spoon of granola in my açai bowl which was kind of ridiculous. For €10.50 I should be getting at least three spoons. The barista made a great coffee but like price for return is non existent. Could be great as the location is handy and the cafe itself is lovely inside. Potentially a great place, but not quite there.

22/12/2025: Had a glorious chicken baguette, definitely 5 stars! They could work on their herbal tea selection and get Lloyds as well, not just Pukka, for those of us who prefer more basic flavours :)

29/12/2025: Extremely stale gravy and very off taste. When asked the waiter very nicely to check if it's proper he did not reply properly, asked to change but seemed like they mixed the previous gravy with other and gave us and charged for the new gravy which was 6 euros more than the one we ordered. We've always been to Coriander Douglas and had good experience but coriander Ballincollig was super bad. Would not recommend and would not visit again. Waste of money.

23/11/2025: Excellent food and attentive staff despite the restaurant being busy. Make sure you book at the weekend.

02/10/2025: I had breakfast here today. The full breakfast is very good and the bread really nice and good value. Staff member stood behind me when asking for my order which was a bit odd as I didn’t know if she was speaking to me. Toilets very clean.

21/05/2025: Really nice cafe-restaurant. I had the hash and chorizo. Very reasonable price and very tasty and filling. The place is busy and popular.
