18/03/2026: KFC East Gate is amazing in all the ways. The food, the people and the ambience. I always love to visit and especially the OR chicken is top of the world. I recommend all visit atleast once and you cannot resist to visit next time.

18/03/2026: If it's all about chiken its KFC and if it's all about KFC then it's East Gate KFC, Little Island. The tastiest chiken i have ever tasted and literally, the finger licking is good. Kudos to staff and manager for having made the family treated so well. Keep it up.🫡

17/04/2026: Had fun shopping at the different vendors here. Got a few used books, a necklace, edible Irish seaweed, ginger drink, and some eco-friendly cleaning products! They have a little bit of everything.

09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.

26/10/2025: I never got to go in, but locals will rant and rave about this place. We rang the doorbell and were greeted by an amazing woman. Sadly they had no more room left, but she was the sweetest person. Hopefully we can visit again soon, and have an amazing pint (which every waitress and waiter told us is the best place to have one)

12/04/2026: Nice atmosphere, friendly service, but poor food. The wings were extremely greasy, the burgers were greasy, the fries were mediocre, and the salad was also greasy and not worth the price.

09/04/2026: Food was fantastic and staff were lovely. Salt went all over my food and was totally my fault, but staff rushed over to take my meal and made me a brand new one, no issues. Staff were very friendly and food was top tear, would go again, absolutely. Chicken burger was lovely and the pulled pork was so sweet and flavourful.

28/12/2025: Very small cafe with more seats outdoors than inside. The coffee is decent taste and size. Price 4.10 for a large size

05/04/2026: Came here the other night for the arcade and some karaoke. Honestly, the best night I had out in Cork recently. The young lady working in the karaoke was especially friendly and makes a great mojito! Thanks for a great night.
