20/08/2024: The ideal menu list. Combine the type of rice, meat with the way of preparation yourself. This prevents endless lists of dishes. Excellent dish was served, would grade it with 4.8, certainly if the price is taken into consideration. Very hard-working waitress. The restaurant is not the most attractive as far as interior is concerned, but they tried to have a Thai atmosphere. Regretfully the Hali Halo desert got messed up, I guess this is a one-off, Anyway deserts is not where their centre of expertise is. I would nevertheless recommend the restaurant warmly for the main course ! Without my desert 4.8, which is exceptional.

06/10/2024: When the food arrived I opened the door and the delivery driver was looking at the bottom of the bag when he saw me he handed me the bag and ran back to his car. It was dark outside so I didn’t see what was wrong but as I walked back inside I felt my hand burning. The bottom of the tub of butter chicken had completely come off and it was coming through the bottom of the bag and burning my hand, destroying the floor, carpet and clothes. Everything else in the bag was covered too. We rang the restaurant and the guy on the phone was just confused, all he did was offer another butter chicken to be sent. I don’t know how the delivery driver thought it was ok to hand it to us like that when he had fully noticed it was dripping. All of the food was cold by the time we cleaned it up, so we pretty much paid almost €50 for microwaved Food

03/11/2024: We came here today and we were given the table directly in front of the screen waiters or staff use, which means that we had waiters looking directly at us and our table for almost the whole time we were there. I felt really uncomfortable as someone was always there standing directly in front of our table. This table shouldn’t be there, or screen should be moved somewhere else so there is no staff constantly watching you. When it comes to food, I got Risotto Al Filetto, it was ok but small portion for €21.90, I wouldn’t order it again. Also garlic bread is just half a wrap with garlic butter on it. Tiramisu wasn’t good at all, I would say the worst I ever had and this place claims to be an Italian restaurant. Filling was runny, 95% of this dessert was just warm runny cream or whatever they used to make it, barely any coffee taste and almost no biscuit base, very disappointed. Paid almost €40 for my food and I am still hungry as portions were tiny. Staff were polite and made you feel looked after but food was average in my opinion.

05/04/2024: Cool history and decor but service was sub par. No one offered to help with our bags on check in. The room was comfortable. The lounge was quaint and cozy but there was never clean up for coffee and the coffee machine was always broken. Every time we went in there to relax there were dirty cups everywhere and we had a ask for new ones and desk seemed to be annoyed and they did not know how to use the machine to refill the coffee or the milk. I guess there are also unposted hours that it is open. You can get laundry service but they do not bring them to your room, you have to ask about them. The location was great but service wasn’t.

24/10/2024: Sad to say, but gradual decline in quality. Used to enjoy their sushi but not as fresh over past few months, even to the point of mushy texture. Last night, the tuna looked anemic, and I had intestinal cramps this morning. Wait staff also seem demoralised and unhappy last few visits. Cooked dishes still fairly good, but I probably won't go back and defo wouldn't recommend.

16/10/2024: The food was really good and great value but they turned the music off over an hour before closing and it just felt super weird in here lol the server also seemed a bit annoyed? But it could have just felt that way because she was doing her tasks in an otherwise completely silent restaurant lol great food though, so maybe excellent for takeaway!

28/10/2024: Very good burgers , chips are 10/10 (super crispy and beautifully seasoned, paprika amongst other spices). They have 2 for 1 on most days and €5 Nacho Fridays. Music is very mainstream not my scene but also a great pub for a good night.

24/10/2024: Delicious and great value for money for the food in An Bróg. I went with the Classic burger that comes with nice chunky chips. The Classic burger it's self was a 6oz monster it felt moe like a very tasty double quarter pounder. One of the most messiest and tastiest burgers I had in long time. Glad I could just about finish it. Be prepared, this is a delicious juicy messy burger! Fast service great chef, great bar staff. The inside of the pub the decor and vibe is decorated very interestingly and very cozy. Grabs your attention where ever you look.  The DJ box made of a little camper van is a great centre piece. It also has  a football table machine for a bit of fun.

29/10/2024: Step in ! Modern art exhibitions are at home. Young artists and not only displaying their work for us to enjoy.

19/09/2024: Went our last night in Cork on a 10 day trip to Ireland. The service was great. We ordered three small plates to share along with a bottle of wine and it was plenty for the two of us. This was the best food we had on our trip. Highly recommend this on your next trip to Cork.

14/09/2024: Food and wine is always great. One of our favourite places in Cork. Will never take this away. However, we were told on 5 occasions that they wanted the table back in 30 minute intervals… this girl was outright annoying and rude… perfectly understand tables needed back but should only have to be told once.

29/07/2024: I used to love this place. The food is still great. The service is shocking. Two people left the queue and hurried on their way as the person taking orders took too much time and seemed in their own world. They did not check the length of the queue and never noticed the two customers who gave up and left. The second person joining to serve customers arrived half an hour after opening. Too late to make a difference in the morning rush. Coffee arrives lukewarm as it stands waiting in vain to be brought out. At times Alchemy does not open on time so people on their way to work wait in vain. It is not a new problem. The hiring is off and staff serving customers don't seem to care and can appear judgmental. There was a time when service was great and visiting was a pleasure. I like the edginess of Alchemy. I can do without the edginess in serving customers. Shame.

23/05/2024: My favorite cafe in Cork city. It has its stall inside the Marina Market and its staff is charming. I have been to both locations, I definitely recommend!
