The best restaurants in Cork city council

18/01/2026: It was so so tasty. The steak sandwich came with a sauce (like gravy). They really lay the steak on thick. They also have great gluten free options. I had a gluten free bun with my burger. Staff were friendly. For parking, you'll most likely need to park in a parking garage.

18/01/2026: It was mid week so pretty quiet so not great time to judge atmosphere. Lovely place to meet friends to eat and chat with. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive.

09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.

16/12/2025: I've found this place to have very inconsistent service (depending on the staff). Disappointing service received last Sunday (December 14). Waited 20 mins for a small, simple order. Throughout this time, there was a young Irish man strolling around, hysterically laughing and joking with another member of staff. This particular individual appears completely devoid of manners or has zero customer service skills. On a previous visit, I gave him my order, and he just turned around and walked away without any acknowledgement whatsoever!! He served me again last Sunday, and after he handed over my order, he responded to my thank you with a blank stare... Such a hostile attitude makes me reluctant to return there. There are plenty of other options around where customers are respected. (date of visit: Dec 14 at around 4pm)

26/09/2025: I had the coffee here and it was bitter I think they added too much coffee. I can drink strong coffee but this was bitter and adding sugar didn't help it. It is overpriced and not really high standard and a few of the staff look depressed there but the staff were nice I just felt bad for them. If it's all of them looking a bit sad it's usually the way they are treated by management, i know from personal experience. Edit: Excuse me but I don't care. 1 I don't go to Ucc, 2 This is my review of your café I have given other places 1 star your not special. 3 if you are going to threaten defamation you have to prove that what people say are false. 4 I never knew about you threatening a staff with a weapon allegedly now I regret ever going to your cafe as that is disgusting to have that as a rumour. This comment you made makes you seem deranged. I never knew about the rumours I stopped in and had bad coffee which is what I put down and your staff seemed sad how would you know if you ain't there. You have to things in your personal life. Get a grip not everyone is going to like your cafe

28/12/2025: Very small cafe with more seats outdoors than inside. The coffee is decent taste and size. Price 4.10 for a large size

28/12/2025: Thank god this restaurant is back on track. It went a bit off track for a while and we stopped going. Now whatever happened it's back to the way it should be. Superb menu . Great staff and prices are right. Compliments to the kitchen on taste and presentation. 10/10 top marks

12/12/2025: So my partner went to his work do tonight at this place and he leaves the place to go shop ,he comes back and the bouncer wouldn’t let him back (saying he was drunk) when my partner rang me and said this I was confused tbh cause when I say my partner was sober I actually mean it ,I know what he’s like when drunk and I can tell you now he wasn’t even near it! So I’ve rang up to speak to manage I spoke with the manager she sounded lovely on the phone i told her the situation and that he’s bomber jacket was still inside the place so she said she’ll go speak to him find out what’s going on so get off the phone with her after thanking her for help for my partner to video call me and show a women shouting at him saying your being aggressive when he clearly wasn’t and then told him they can’t find the bomber jacket when they could of allowed him to go get it and then come back out. There was literally a lot more drunken unable to speak people in that place and outside of it but my partner got treated like this !

30/11/2025: Love everything about the Mardyke, Good Food, Drink🍻 Arcades Bowling 🎳 and Karaoke 🎤 Perfect nights to have and activities all in one. Making bookings is easy changing and even extending times. Staff are some of the soundest people, Keep up the good work!

02/12/2025: I’m reluctant to leave a good review because it means that it will get more popular! This was my first visit but it won’t be my last. I had coffee and French toast with maple syrup and bacon. The French toast was yummy, with a lovely hit of cinnamon, good maple syrup accompanied by crispy, streaky bacon. The service is friendly and efficient and the space is cosy. A definite five stars.

19/11/2025: Delicious!! Shared the Raclette burger and the Hot Honey Glazed chicken and both were superb. The garlic parmesan fries were absolutely perfect. And the pistachio milkshake 😋. Server Yana was also super friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. My only complaint - it was a bit chilly inside. Wear an extra layer!

14/11/2025: Very nice burger. Slate that the burger was served was way to small. Also one little paper napkin that came with it wasn't enough. But burgers were delicious. I'll be back if around 😁
