The best restaurants in Cork city council

24/05/2025: It’s close to where I work, so I often drop by before work or during my break. The coffee’s awesome and the staff are super friendly !especially Nica, she’s really sweet and has such great vibes🫶🏻

25/02/2025: The breakfast was excellent and affordable. The setting is nice, the staff is adorable!! I recommend.

15/05/2025: Went with friends on a Thursday night. Food very good and staff were very pleasant. However, there was a quiz on there and noise was so loud we had to leave. If planning on going, please check if there is a quiz on !!!! Would have given more stars otherwise

25/05/2025: This was not good. We ordered fish and chips, the fish was grim, not freshly cooked and tasted mushy. The batter was bright orange. Chips were undercooked. Very disappointed and definitely won’t eat again. Also cash only is a pain in the hoop.

09/06/2025: This review is about sustainability only! 🙂 I’m so grateful to have found this coffee shop in Cork, and was especially pleased to see that you offer real, reusable mugs to customers who asked for them. That said, it seems that many customers in-house did not know about the available reusable mugs. Maybe there is more you can do to easily communicate this option to those who may be interested. Perhaps that means having barista‘s ask customers directly if they want a mug for here. Or maybe that means featuring real mugs on your social media, or somehow incentivizing or promoting the use of usable mugs, that people either bring on their own or borrow from you in house. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and it would be wonderful to see waterfront cities, such as yours help everyday people be better to our environment. Thank you for your consideration, and for the delicious coffee!

16/05/2025: No introduction is needed in the city of Cork. In the morning, it is almost a ritual to go and have a coffee or any other drink, but this café is 5 stars for those who have difficulty waking up and just go there and order a double espresso. There are two other roasters in the city, which was an excellent idea to expand what is good and recommended. You can also buy coffee beans here, and if you have a coffee machine at home, you will save a lot of money, but I also tell you that it is not the same as having your Americano or espresso here.

24/06/2025: Excellent food, BUT... waited 10/15 for waitress to take out order, just about finished our starter and we got our mains served, then as we were finishing, we were told we had 10 minutes left at the table and were asked to finish. This was never mentioned to us when we sat down, that we had a limited time. No option to get dessert, we asked could we at least sit outside and finish our wine, so we did. Despite this, the food was really good, just a pity we were rushed so much and no dessert.

18/06/2025: A very good experience, very friendly staff and delicious food, well presented and tasty. Reasonable prices for the area where it is located. I ate on the street, with a plastic fence, but well-ventilated with a good heat source and not too much noise. It was a very pleasant time.

20/07/2025: Found the restaurant by chance, and luck does things well. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Special mention for the delicious desserts 😁 Highly recommended.

20/07/2025: Now open for brunch! My husband and I enjoyed our jacks! The servers researched and created a version of a Shirley Temple and they presented our girls with candles and treats to celebrate their 7th birthdays! The service was very appreciated!

17/07/2025: I had lunch today curry wasn't bad we decided to have dessert a crumble It was slopped into a bowl with cold custard presentation was scandlous.!!! Desserts are so expensive now it would need to be better... would definitely never have again

14/07/2025: DONT GET THE MARGARITA PIZZA!!! I went here for a friend’s birthday (party of 12) and decided to get a margarita pizza as that is usually a very safe option (I was heavily wrong). It was so dry and lack so much flavor I thought I was eating cardboard, it was so hard to cut and bite too. Even the small portion of garlic dip (€1.50 btw) couldn’t save it. My friend got the pepperoni and they said there’s was a little better due to the juice of the pepperoni, she tried my and said it was awful too. I only was able to eat 3 slices myself cause I was very hungry but i genuinely couldn’t stomach any more. A couple of my friends said there’s meal were very plan and lacking of flavor also (they got pasta, chicken burger and stir fry). Overall was very disappointed considering the price of everything.

03/07/2025: Absolutely delighted this cafe is back open. Absolute quality, had the Paul’s special sandwich which was accompanied with a fresh salad and crisps. Absolutely superb and the coffee was delicious.
