05/10/2025: We have been regular customers to the woolshed over the years and never had any issues but you’re asking for trouble if you go in there now. The staff are HORRIBLE. They do not respect their paying customers and we intend on telling everyone we meet to avoid the place.

21/08/2025: The omelets (breakfast omelet), the scones, the beans on toast, the bread... Everything was delicious and mostly homemade. The woman who runs the cafe is lovely, very pleasant and smiling. You have to go there if you are in the area.

09/10/2025: Good local bar, especially if you are living near Tower in Cork. Always busy, with friendly welcome and speedy service(price of the pint is not bad also). Designated bar for Skerry's Rugby Club.

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

26/09/2025: I had the coffee here and it was bitter I think they added too much coffee. I can drink strong coffee but this was bitter and adding sugar didn't help it. It is overpriced and not really high standard and a few of the staff look depressed there but the staff were nice I just felt bad for them. If it's all of them looking a bit sad it's usually the way they are treated by management, i know from personal experience. Edit: Excuse me but I don't care. 1 I don't go to Ucc, 2 This is my review of your café I have given other places 1 star your not special. 3 if you are going to threaten defamation you have to prove that what people say are false. 4 I never knew about you threatening a staff with a weapon allegedly now I regret ever going to your cafe as that is disgusting to have that as a rumour. This comment you made makes you seem deranged. I never knew about the rumours I stopped in and had bad coffee which is what I put down and your staff seemed sad how would you know if you ain't there. You have to things in your personal life. Get a grip not everyone is going to like your cafe

06/07/2025: It is what it is. Has not changed in years which is great as your guaranteed to be wwll fed and watered. The seats are a bit tightly compacted for let's say a private chatter, but I still love it as it is

08/10/2025: The staff were amazing, welcoming and helpful. Other than a soup that had more salt than veg in it, the rest of the food was lovely. The rooms on the other hand are outdated. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, dirty curtains and sink taps that you have to keep turning for the water to finally come out. I would stay in this hotel again but in a different room. Location is very handy. Parking 1min walk. Public transport directly across the bridge.
