06/01/2026: The Rock Pub is a super cozy spot with a beautiful interior. It gives strong medieval vibes, almost like stepping into an old Irish inn. We went on a weekday, so it was quiet and peaceful—perfect if you want to relax. They’ve got a pool table and even a piano, and the seating near the fireplace is especially nice. They also offer discounts on certain beers through a card system. With the card, three beers cost €13 instead of €18, which is a great deal. Overall, it’s a warm, cozy place that’s easy to enjoy.

06/02/2026: Took AirCoach from Dublin and the hotel is only 5 minutes down the road. Elegant entry and charming lobby for tea. Our bathroom was a little odd shaped but we managed. Staff everywhere were friendly and attentive. We had breakfast included, which included everything on the menu. And the hotel bar was a nice way to cap the evening off.

07/12/2025: At €7.40 for a pint of Heineken it's a disgrace a pub in Cork is selling a pint at this price. Tourist beware. Just because it is the only surviving pub on the main City Centre street and has a few outdoor chairs. Also notable that it is a historic building. That is no excuse for serving a pint in Cork City at that price. Especially with the reductions to the vinters this year. That is just blatant price gouging. Located on St Patrick's Street. Took my business else where and got less expensive. Two pints here is more then the average person makes from an hours wage. Disgraceful.

09/02/2026: Perfect place to stay Staff and hotel were absolutely fantastic Very pleasant Food was absolutely gorgeous, and again waitressing staff were so lovely and accommodating. Would definitely return again.

18/12/2025: Had the most delicious pizza here recently, and the garlic bread was divine! The staff are so friendly, its such a lovely cosy pub with a really nice atmosphere. Will definately be back👍

31/01/2026: A real classic and super cozy pub on the road to Kinsale. The food was not terrible, but also not great. The pints were lovely though, and the staff were sound though so I'd its worth a stop.

30/01/2026: Love the pub. I always call in hear with my friends from England when we go visit a very dear friend who lives in Tower . Staff are out of this world 😊 truly lovely people ❤️

03/02/2026: The pizza was very good and priced at a competitive rate. Especially considering the number of pizza joints in Cork City. The seating inside is smaller but they have tables outside, too. However sitting inside was not problem at lunch.

28/01/2026: I ordered 2 pizzas for Collection, Arrived in on time, no problem, pizza ready, perfect not busy, but not liking that when I asked to pay, I was handed a Credit Card Machine with Tip Options, I was getting a Take Away, Tip for what exactly? I do tip and tip generously at that, but not for fun, When I Tip, I Tip because::; The server went above and beyond, The Food Was Excellent And I was generally happy with my experience, I can Safely say that I will not be looked at in that way again, for not tipping a takeaway order, Domino's Donetellos or Four Star didn't do it, Tips Are Gratitudious, which means, you are gracious for an excellent service, not for simply doing your job

16/02/2026: The service & atmosphere: really good! but the food is on par what most people would cook at home themselves, which certainly does not justify €20+ price tag per main course. €7.50 for a pint of beer is shockingly disappointing also We had a pleasant experience, but won’t be back. Wasn’t high enough quality to deserve our hard earned money with the prices being charged.

17/01/2026: Must have came at a bad time for the kitchen. The Pil Pil Prawns with Chorizo Ham starter was a bit over cooked. The Chorizo ham was over cooked and tasted a bit charred. The Lemon Soul Gougons were lovely, but my Curry was not the best i got there. Desert, lemon tart and cheesecale was great. I love this place for years but this visit was disappointing. As usual, it's fairly full, so expect to be close to others.

03/10/2025: Today I went to Velo Café, totally exhausted and struggling with the weather. I had a big buggy and wanted to sit outside. But the lovely lady invited me to take a seat. I just got green tea, nothing else, but the treated us like a VIP client. I was able to feed the toddler and just got a break from my day. I'll be coming back here because the staff is absolutely lovely. Reny&Jude

14/02/2026: Shocking experience once again , as per as a family who recently moved into the area and would love to make this pub a local for food and drink we tried it again and told that we couldn't have a drink as the bar was for food , while a bar was half empty and staff tripping over each other engaged in conversation at the bar in our past experience we were send to the residents lounge and told by the bar manger in there he was reserving tables for the locals and how long would we be there , we have family that drink there and highly recommend the place but I can say from trying over and over again and ending up in disappointment every time and rude management I look forward to the Wilton bar being renovated and walking place this establishment. Disgrace

11/02/2026: A great bar where the staff and locals are extremely friendly. A great atmosphere with some brilliant characters. And if you're into horse racing or football, there are various screens without the volume too loud.

15/01/2026: Great pub, right in the city centre. Perfect for daytime coffee, evveing drinks and afternoon people watching outside. Lovely staff too.

02/11/2025: We ordered the communion package last May. The ordering process was very easy, Audrey was very helpful. The food was ready on time, all delicious and everyone was complimenting it. I’d definitely order again.

09/10/2025: They brought several cupcakes at work for an event, I tried the chocolate and strawberry one and I've never tasted so artificial flavours before. The chocolate tasted like those chocolate easter eggs you get at the supermarket where the chocolate gets white after a while cause its so cheap and the strawberry had so much sugar in it my teeth started to ache.

26/10/2025: I would consider myself a regular customer of the claddagh restaurant and what makes me a "regular customer " is simple. Quality. Quality food, quality service. I have sampled virtually every choice on the menu over the past few years and have never left disappointed. As they say in sporting circles, " form is temporary, class is permanent ". BTW, im not connected with management, staff, in any way other than a relationship built on wonderful dining experiences. My wife and I love the place and will continue to tell anyone with ears about the claddagh restaurant.

16/10/2025: Dropped into the Claddagh after seeing a few “decent” reviews. We arrived just after opening, yet three dishes on the menu were already unavailable — not a great start. “The best fish & chips in Blarney”… Bold claim. I had to see for myself. The verdict? This title could only be accurate under two circumstances: 1. The Claddagh is the only place serving fish in Blarney. 2. The claim is quietly revised to “best fish goujon” — because what arrived was a tiny portion that under the right lighting, could have been mistaken for a length of dental floss. To make matters worse, the peas listed on the menu were missing entirely. I’d normally raise this with staff, but by the time I noticed, the meagre 2–3 bites of fish had already vanished. At least the little that was served seemed fresh and was decently cooked. Meanwhile, the Asian/Chinese options looked suspiciously like they’d wandered in from the Chinese restaurant next door. My girlfriend’s chilli chicken was significantly better than my “fish & chips” and actually resembled a meal. In short: don’t come here for the fish. If you do venture in, stick to the Asian dishes. Otherwise, save yourself the disappointment.

16/01/2026: I can’t even think what to write here other than the fried chicken is AMAZING!!!!! We’ve eaten in and had take out and either is excellent!! If you want some yummy fried chicken THIS is the place!!! Period …
