The best restaurants in Cork city council

24/04/2025: This place is highway robbery I came with a party of twenty and had to pay a fee of 16.50 just to enter at 8 o clock, they then proceeded to kick us out at ten, I'm really bloody pissed to be honest

24/04/2025: We arrived at 9 pm and were told that there's going to be a DJ at 10 pm. I tried to order a drink at 10:10 and they said they were closed. Online, it says that they close at 2 am. My friends weren't allowed in because apparently they are already closing. We had to pay €16.50 to get in, just to be told to leave an hour later. Would not recommend!!

11/05/2025: The chashumen ramen was spectacular, one of the best I have ever eaten. A sushi delight. Our favorite was the so-called chef's favorite roll. Very attentive service, very clean and pretty cutlery. And as a curiosity, they always serve you the house tea, which is served to you throughout the service. Spectacular!!! More than recommended.

09/05/2025: Phoned on behalf of my company to order from lunch Menu where we would collect ourselves the next day! Initally after taking my name, company and phone number my order was placed by a very pleasant young man who informed me he was also manning the coffee machine. Wished to pre-pay and was asked by said young man that he would pass me to his Manager, waited and was then advised no orders could be taken for the next day, they were fully booked! Sounded like she was fobbing me off.... Hung up.... what if i had rocked up like i did a few months ago and ordered same from daily menu, for the same number of people? would I have been treated in the same manner? Sounded like said Manager could not be bothered when I spoke to her. Very out dated that one unable to order and pay on-line. We were able to order from competitor and pay on-line plus choose a pick-up time, seamless, professional and friendly, most importantly were delighted with the business we put their way. Naturally Nourished felling very 'unnaturally nourished' and 'disappointed', won't ever order from you or recommend you in the future either professionally or personally. Helen O'Connell

06/05/2025: All rounder place! Ticks all boxes! Hats off to the manager/owners they've got it right! These days it's hard to find good staff, but there all here! Food is just flawless, the best produce and not afraid to use it! Top class in every way....well done! Not many places got it all!

03/05/2025: My husband didn't like the pizza so much. Pasta was good but we know it better so we don't have to have it anymore. Brucetta was unseasoned.

27/04/2025: Very cool pub with a chill vibe, but the bartender was extremely rude. I definitely wouldn’t come back after the experience I had, and it’s a shame because it really is such a cool place.

29/04/2025: Had an incredible stay at the Montenotte Hotel – easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Ireland. The views over Cork are stunning, the design is chic and inviting, and every detail has clearly been thought through. A special shout-out to Erin, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable – so warm, helpful, and professional. She truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Can’t wait to return!

28/04/2025: What a beautiful hotel in the City of Cork! My wife and I had a lovely stay. We really enjoyed the grounds and pool. Everyone was incredibly hospitable. Ken at the door had great recommendations!

20/05/2025: Service is dreadful, the food was inedible and the ambiance needs a lot more care. The garden view is nice though.

17/05/2025: Very disappointing. Shockingly poor service as no care provided by staff, but management lacking blamed entirely, as waiting for any attention asking for every single detail. Marguerites had no ice, was warm, asked for ice “sorry don’t provide frozen??” It’s ice, it’s a marguerita, ever heard of google? Pity a Mexican who braved the edges of Glanmire in for a shock. No napkins. Beer served in Guinness glasses. No plates with entrees. Shambles in all fairness. I’d probably say it is a roadside diner not a restaurant. Avoid if looking for a quality restaurant experience.

18/05/2025: Visited route 14 Saturday 17th may, lovely welcome once we stepped inside, had booked table for 5 which was ready and definitely recommend on booking beforehand, given plenty of time to look over two menus, which covered everything. Each of us ordered different foods and all came out together, manageress kept checking on us and couldn't do enough. Food was amazing, staff so friendly and polite and the atmosphere was buzzing. Definitely will be back.

17/05/2025: Top class food at reasonable prices. The staff are very helpful and have a sense of humour which adds to the appeal of the venue.

04/05/2025: Ambiance is cozy, accomodating and comfortable. As much as we could, my husband and I would come here for lunch after Sunday mass because their sandwiches are a delight! Service is very friendly and quick as well. (This is also where my husband and I had our first date.)

07/02/2025: Dave from Edison is one of the best bartenders you can ever meet. Super friendly, fantastic cocktails, super attentive and great vibes. Would highly recommend!
