30/06/2025: A++ bar stafff. Cool vibe. The place to start a night out

30/06/2025: The bar with the best atmosphere I have encountered so far in Ireland🇮🇪! The bartender can make drinks and coffee, and the service is very good! Can chat and share drinks🍸 Very good! Gave a tip! I don’t know the taste of the food because I didn’t order it, but I highly recommend cocktails!

26/07/2025: El mejor café que he tomado en siglos, una amplia gama de alternativas de leches y jarabes. Tenemos un cruasán y arce twist, así que estaban tan frescos. La chica joven que nos sirve hoy consiguió a través de una gran línea muy rápido sin dejar de hacer grandes cafés y ser educado y amable. Definitivamente volveremos la próxima vez que vuelemos dentro / fuera de corcho.

03/06/2025: Celebrated an 80th birthday in the upstairs bar. A great night was had by all The food, service and decor was excellent. The staff just could not do enough for us.

05/08/2025: HEAR ME OUT. The best bar I’ve ever stumbled into! My mom and I were in town for the day visiting from the U.S.. It has always been on her bucket list to see Ireland and this was our first night in from travel. We stumbled in for a pint, stayed all night singing with the locals and laughing with the owners. Cold beer, warm hearts, and the best time in Ireland. We came as strangers, left as regulars. 10/10, would off-key sing here again! 🍻🎶🇮🇪

16/07/2025: I first ordered food at Miyazaki across the road, and sat in O'Sho to wait and also eat it there. Bar staff, cleanliness, and facilities provided were great. It's also a great place to have a few pints without eating also.

08/07/2025: Great craic after a concert! Service on the night were pretty bad, I know it was extremely busy but there was no awareness from bartenders of who was next to be served.

18/07/2025: Please can you make sure you put all the order in the pack. 25 km later we found out that 1 pita sandwich was missing and we paid for it. Very disappointed 😞 I was really hungry ,😭

29/06/2025: Got the Transylvania Burger and it was lovely. Kind of like a garlic bread burger and quite oily from the garlic butter but I was fine with that since I ate it at home but have lots of napkins if not at home. I put some of the basil-parmesan mayo that I got with my Chip Butty on it and it worked very nicely as well. Chip Butty was lovely as well with the sauce and some salt. Battered sausage was pretty good as well. Queue was long but moved pretty fast.

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

19/06/2025: Decent gig venue, not too big, good sound, nice staff, it won't be anyone's favourite venue, but it does the job nicely.

15/06/2025: I attended the 2010s party and the event had none of what was promised on the poster, and the DJ was very rude to us. There were only four people at the place, and when we requested a song, he looked at us with disgust. What a waste of our money.

21/08/2025: Great spot for a bite to eat. Very child friendly and the staff were just great. Food was bang on too.

18/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance. The food was good, but nothing special. It's okay if you're passing through, otherwise it's not.

12/08/2025: Disappointing Experience at “Good for the Soul” I had high hopes for this place given the name, but sadly, the experience was anything but comforting. One of the most frustrating aspects was the complete lack of flexibility with the menu—when I asked to make a simple adjustment to a dish, I was told it wasn’t possible, without any real explanation or effort to accommodate. Service was another major letdown. My coffee arrived 25 minutes before my food, which meant I had to drink it lukewarm or wait and enjoy it cold. Either way, not ideal. To make things worse, the general service attitude felt inattentive and inconsistent. There was a young woman with red hair working behind the till who was noticeably friendly and loud with regulars, laughing and chatting openly. But when it came to new customers like myself, she made no effort to be welcoming or even polite—just a quick, impersonal transaction that felt borderline dismissive. All in all, the vibe was cliquey and the service lacked basic hospitality. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re already part of the inner circle. This review is up over a week and still no reply or enquiry from the management team at good for the soul tells me all i need to know about the type of business you are conducting.
