04/06/2025: Quiet place in blarney. Exceptional service from staff. I had the cheeseburger with fries absolutely unreal! It was very quiet while I was there so service was very quick and staff ensures that you have the best experience! 10/10 would recommend

10/06/2025: Lovely pub. The inside is cute and welcoming, the staff is super nice. Outside they have a bigger area that is really nice and on Wednesdays they have the quizz, a blast. Definitely recommend coming over.

06/07/2025: We stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat one evening. The vegetable pakoras we had to start were nice. The vegan burger (which was ordered without hummus) was very dry and the bun had an odd texture. This might have been because it was a vegan brioche bun. The cauliflower steak was delicious and is definitely the best veggie/vegan option to go for. The service was impeccable and the staff were very accommodating, despite our lack of a reservation. Our meal (with two pints) came to €65.

28/06/2025: I wanted to treat myself with a dry age special cut, which was very expensive but the description was promising. A 30 day dry aged meat has a very peculiar taste but it come covered with garlic. I was very clear that I wanted a plain steak, with no garnish, only with salt and paper. As it happens with all things cooked with garlic, the garlic was so prominent that could only taste it!!!. if I had chosen any cheaper beef the taste would have been the same! While this primary mistake could be okay (it happens after all), the problem came when I told the manager that the chef should avoid that. The manager said that it was impossible, that there was no garlic in the kitchen, insisting I was wrong (and therefore crazy!). This was so disappointing. Instead of accepting what I said, the manager decided to gaslight me. I also ordered a very rare meat and they brought it medium-medium rare. I spent lots of money in a very amateur meal. On a positive note, the atmosphere was super nice and the guy who served me was very friendly too. The steak was not bad, but it is not worth the price for the special cut.

15/06/2025: I had high hopes for this place, but after witnessing what goes on behind closed doors, I can’t recommend it. The lack of professionalism and questionable after-hours behaviour were deeply disappointing. What’s worse, after leaving my honest opinion, I received an intimidating message. That says more about the place than any review could. I was a regular customer. I expected decency, not fear. Not sure if management is aware, but if they are, that alone should be a red flag. Think twice before supporting this place.

29/04/2025: Had an incredible stay at the Montenotte Hotel – easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Ireland. The views over Cork are stunning, the design is chic and inviting, and every detail has clearly been thought through. A special shout-out to Erin, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable – so warm, helpful, and professional. She truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Can’t wait to return!

28/04/2025: What a beautiful hotel in the City of Cork! My wife and I had a lovely stay. We really enjoyed the grounds and pool. Everyone was incredibly hospitable. Ken at the door had great recommendations!

27/06/2025: We booked a staff night out for last week on Friday. There was 15 of us. The minute we arrived, we were told there is no table service, as they are under staffed. There was 4 barmen at the bar and it was not that busy. They refused to take even our food order at the table. I then had to take an order from all of us and I didn't even get thanks from them. Food was absolutely gorgeous, but we didn't enjoy it as the service was absolutely awful. I have worked in restaurants-bars and this is absolutely unacceptable. We dropped well over €1000 there and left with a feeling that we will never go back, as our business was not appreciated.

21/06/2025: Great lively spot, good atmosphere, good pints. However, the service was poor, and the staff just didn't appear to want to be there. Another example of a pub that wants to be just a restaurant. In my opinion.

13/07/2025: We absolutely love Fernroyd House. My family of 8 stayed here, occupying 4 rooms. Each room was spacious and lovely, each also having its own ensuite bathroom. The made-from-scratch breakfast (including fresh baked scones!) was delicious & the perfect way to start the day. Tony and Avril are amazing hosts. The location is great… bars & restaurants all very walkable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

30/06/2025: Our stay at Fernroyd House was a great pleasure. The spacious and quiet room and en-suite bathroom were neat and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful experience with fruit and self made yogurt, freshly baked scones and delicious meals from the menu. Tony’s and Avril’s service made us perfectly happy. We will definitely return! Thank you for everything.

09/07/2025: Don't sleep on this place - best americano I've had in all of Ireland over the last 2 years I've been here. Food was also delicious and service was great. Would totatly live here in the mornings if I were based in Cork.

04/07/2025: Disappointing. Coffee was good but waited 20 mins for my poached eggs on sourdough, meanwhile at least 5 people who arrived after me were served their food. When the food did eventually arrive (without apologies for the lateness), the poached eggs were hard.
