24/10/2025: The food was okay, but the cutlery made eating an adventure.
The knife was so blunt, you could have just as easily cut with a spoon.
The atmosphere is unfortunately anything but cozy.
We went because of the reviews, but we couldn't agree with them.

A wee bit expensive
31/07/2025: Overpriced ( its everywhere in Ireland but this is jaw dropping), overcooked ( burnt bacon on the Eggs Benedict which could have been forgiven except next table also complained) and very slow service in that not all parties received their food at the same time. Wont be returning.

04/08/2025: Drove a long way to find them closed, rang before I left and their voice mail stated they where open 7days a week < they are not, they close on bank holiday Mondays!!!

05/09/2025: A very good pub in the area with excellent staff, it has a back area with huge wooden benches, very good pints, in short, an authentic traditional Irish pub, and now with the students returning there will be many lively nights.
04/08/2025: A very cozy bar with good music and a relaxed atmosphere. It's nice to finally find a place where vaping is prohibited. I wonder when they realize it's the same as smoking. Thank you for providing a smoke-free space.

19/10/2025: Added this to our list from a YouTube video recommendation... TOTALLY worth it. Great service. Friendly staff. Excellent beer (of course). We were only in for a couple (pints that is) this time but still excellent conversation and absolutely felt welcome.

27/10/2025: We had a lovely meal here the Saturday evening of the Jazz weekend. The food was lovely as was the wine! Just a bit loud to be able to hear each other speak, felt like 6pm was 2am in a bar but that's acoustics, nothing to do with the food and service! Will be back

29/08/2025: Here is another popular café, very well known by the people of Cork for its food that will make you take your hat off even when drinking a simple espresso. Café Gusto opened here and here it was better to have a small, crowded room than a large, empty one. Here people come and go all day long. It closes around 6:00 p.m. Cafés of this quality deserve the best. We are very grateful for the wonderful service and charming friendliness. Thank you very much.

04/10/2025: Mahers Pure Coffee is a lovely cafe in the middle of the city. We came in to purchase coffee and equipment. They havewide selection of items for making coffee. They have a lovely coffee selection as well.
We bought their hazelnut coffee, which is super popular. The team was friendly enough...
The smell of coffee is very nice. I could stay there for a good while. It is downtown and central.
They are wheelchair accessible. There is wheelchair accessible parking nearby.

04/09/2025: Very comfortable and well-maintained rooms. Breakfast is served in the neighboring restaurant and includes a buffet and a selection of hot dishes from the à la carte menu (included).
The breakfast is very generous, but the quality of the ingredients could be improved: the avocado toast is really not good, the omelet is super greasy, etc.
Perhaps it would be ideal to have fewer choices (8 or 9 à la carte dishes) but better quality.
21/07/2025: El almuerzo aquí fue mixto. La sopa de mariscos con pan integral era excelente, pero la pizza pepperoni era decepcionante... .. corteza empapada y todo. La talla de carne asada era bueno, pero lado acompañante eran sosos.
