The best restaurants in Cork city council

28/06/2026: We visited Okura two times previous to our visit last night and it was lovely. BUT last night (28-Jun-26) was extremely disappointing meal. The food we ordered came and it was not what we ordered, we let the man who I assume was the manager that we received what we taught was the wrong dishes and to say he ignored us and did nothing about it was an understatement. We ordered tempura prawns (one dish) and calamari rings (second dish). We didn’t receive either dish we ordered. The ribs were lovely. The rest of the meal was a disappointment considering the price you pay.

28/06/2026: I was ordering food a lot of times in this restaurant, it always was no problem with anything, but today I ordered delivery and after I placed my order, restaurant informed me, that they out of some ingredients, I didn’t mind to choose something else, but when I got my sushi it was smaller portion than usually, instead of normal portion 8 pcs it was only 5 pcs (it doesn’t says on website) and I had carrot in them, which is also doesn’t says on a website. I also didn’t get any chopsticks to eat. When I called to the restaurant to solve a problem they said that they just forgot to update website and it’s not their fault, man who was talking with me was very rude and didn’t want to solve it at all. They also send message that my order will be in 40 minutes, but instead I was waiting more than 1 hour, staff also said that it’s not their fault, because they were busy

23/04/2026: I liked the atmosphere, the museum itself is small, but interesting and there are lots of interesting staff at the gift shop. The Cafe on the first floor was really tasty.

01/07/2026: The steak was perfect, and the spinach potato gratin was to die for! Our server was so friendly and warm, and it was overall a lovely experience. I'd say we'll be back!

29/06/2026: This place exceeded my expectations. Good quality food, good service and lovely atmosphere. Ordered the chicken supreme and it was very tasty and beautifully presented. I would definitely come back

16/07/2026: Absolutely terrible! The bartender and manager provided awful service. I don't recommend it. Plus, there was a rat in the bar.

30/06/2026: This is my favourite shopping centre. It is very compact and has many choices of business from pharmacy to health store, butcher, phone shops etc Penny's and Tesco ,Easons are main attractions along with many choices of places to eat. We find it very safe especially to allow teenagers to roam freely, and has always security on parole. There's plenty car space s available all around location.

29/06/2026: I recently visited the Mango Cafe and was very happy with my experience! The Thai food was incredibly authentic and tasted amazing! While the prices were a bit higher than I'm used to, the portions were large so it was definitely worth it. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend checking out the Mango Cafe if you're looking for great Thai food! EDIT, in 2026 : they have increased the price even more to £14 per curry which is just too high. I think they will stop customers coming at this high price. I would still go occasionally but not much. It needs to simply be £10 per chicken curry and £12 for beef, and that's it, simple. More than that it's not reasonable, it's sad as the quality is good it's just priced too much at £14

13/06/2026: Had a quick run into this lovely place in Mallow city. Grabbed a few bites and it was lovely, the place is very clean and welcoming. The order was served very fast. We had some panini and chicken baguette along with some side salads and hot chocolate.

31/05/2026: Lovely cafe in mallow, always very good for hot food, wraps or coffee and cake, all really nice. Spotless inside all food made freshly, great home made brown bread and apple tarts! Had a party recently and ordered home made pavlova and a sherry trifle, both amazing! Pavlova full of fruit incredible, a reall show stopper! Best cafe I know!

16/05/2026: We always love coming back to Coriander in Ballincollig! The staff are always so warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the food is absolutely amazing every single time. You can really taste the quality and authenticity in every dish. Without a doubt, the best Indian restaurant in Cork. Highly recommend!

23/06/2026: The food is excellent.! . Service is a bit lacking. Looks like Staff could do with some training.. Could be better. Slow service. Drinks arrived after a long wait and some confusion. But the thing that really pissed me of, was the mad kids running around the green playing soccer among diners and people trying to enjoy the evening. Despite the big sign saying no ball playing. Obviously parents have no supervision over their kids. But management could be a bit stricter. Noone seemed to make any effort to put a stop to it. Kind of ruined the evening as we couldn't sit out and enjoy the river as to not be hit on a head with a ball. It used to be one of my favorite places but twice now I didn't enjoy the service and the place. Won't be back.

16/06/2026: Dedicated parking across the road made this place my go-to when on a day trip in the area. Amazing seating and comfort, great and friend service. Food was fab as well. Chips were especially amazing.
