The best restaurants in Cork city council

29/08/2026: We really enjoyed our meal - sushi was very good, staff was attentive, and owner was friendly. This will be a go to for us in Douglas.

28/08/2026: This is our favourite restaurant in Cork. The food is always amazing. There is something for everyone on the menu too. I cannot recommend the lamb rack mojo enough especially with the pineapple spicy rice. I wouldn't be a fan of fish but even the crispy prawns starter is lovely. The staff are friendly and always attentive. Very family friendly and a good show when you can get a seat at the bar area.

02/09/2026: Jason catered a naming ceremony for us and we were so impressed! His communication was great and he helped us decide how much to order etc. Collection was super easy. The food was delicious! So many people complimented the food, it was presented beautifully and very generous. I felt it was very good value too. I would 100% recommend for events. I also try to get to the salads as much as I can in the Kinsale market. Such lovely salads.

13/09/2026: I had a great experience at Istanbul Restaurant! The staff are very respectful, lovely, and the service is really fast. I ordered the Half Pounder Burger, and it was absolutely perfect! And the other day i bough donner , The lamb, chicken, and everything else tasted fresh and delicious. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend this place

03/08/2026: Really enjoyed brunch here. The menu is great! We went for a breakfast taco and huevos rancheros and would recommend both. Staff were extremely nice and helpful (despite being very busy!) Lovely outdoor area which we preferred as it’s a bit loud inside. Also had the French toast. It was good but nothing special.

13/09/2026: They served my dinner, never received any cutlery.The time someone came by and I asked for cutlery my dinner was luke warm.Very disappointed, never asked was my dinner ok, felt like only a number there.Would I go back, definitely not.

25/08/2026: We had the most gorgeous meal in Thali tonight. From the starters to the main course, it got better and better! You could tell the food was made fresh and was homemade. We will definitely be back!

08/08/2026: As someone who probably gets take aways one or two times a week. I have to say this is by far the best take away indian in cork city. There portions are large and will feed two people, unlike other take aways who absolutely rip you off with skinny shallow cartons , the food is reasonably priced too, and absolutely delicious. 10/10 D

30/07/2026: We had the best beamish the best Guinness the best Murphy's we ever had and I've had loads about all over the place , a top top top and the staff are top notch

07/08/2026: I ordered my drink matcha with oat milk at the window. I then went for a walk along the Lee Fields. The team is super friendly, fast, and ontop of everything. . The matcha is outstanding as well as their snacks. We have been enjoying their new Matcha lineup as well. Ice matcha yum!!! Definitely visit here and go for a walk along River Lee. Great place for dogs and other pets. Just remember to keep them on a leed. It is wheelchair accessible. There is outdoor seating area and cabins to get out of the rain or sun.

13/06/2026: Had breakfast here this morning. Delicious. Very reasonable prices and a great selection. Service was very welcoming and friendly. The irony of me visiting this morning is that it was my first time here and have discovered in the meantime it is closing tomorrow. Very disappointed to hear this as this was a place I'd definitely have gone back to again.
