The best restaurants in Cork city council

06/09/2025: Rooms are great, quiet and clean. Our experience with staff was mixed: very attentive and friendly at entrance and reception. Very slow, inattentive and overwhelmed or generally overstrained at the bar and breakfast area. A big disappointment was the fact that smoking is still allowed on the terrace of the restaurant. It's 2025, come on. Poisonous odours don't only making sitting outside impossible but waft inside and make the entire experience unpleasant for so many. The spa area is nice and in good condition.

05/09/2025: We had a great experience and would highly and easily recommend this stay to other! Jess, at reception, was exceptionally kind and so pleasant- as well as knowledgeable in order to point us in the right direction. Great place! All staff were great and room was nice and clean.

24/05/2025: Here in this establishment it's a pleasure to come here, the service is super and the products are all top notch, it's better to spend a little more than to go for cheap and not even know what you're putting into your body, I highly recommend this establishment as there aren't many in Cork with this experience and quality, my congratulations for all these years open and always very willing to help our customers.

21/04/2025: Really lovely shop. When I visited I met a local guy who visits whenever he can. He said it's a lovely place to read a book or have some chats. The owner is lovely too and will help you with anything she can. Really cosy place and the company was fun too. Great for tea and coffee lovers. All we did was spill the tea! 😅

30/06/2025: I was visiting from canada on my last trip of ireland. Eugene was the best bartender I found in the entire country and i couldn't understand a word he was saying. Awesome pub owned by an awesome man 🍻

26/07/2025: Lovely place with lovely food, drinks and such a lovely staff! Their coffee is simply delicious and very well-made. And their sweets! Oh, their sweets! Just breathtaking! I got a chocolate fudge slice and it was not too sweet nor too bitter. Just perfect! Their staff and their service is top notch! Very thoughtful and kind! I asked for some recommendations for which sweet to get and they were very helpful and honest! Josefina and Faye were simply amazing! 11/10!!!

11/05/2025: When the manager proclaimed to us that “everything you see is a masterpiece” we knew we were in for a special occasion. No less than 8 minutes after placing our huge order, the titular fry master arrived at our table to deliver a tray laden with greasy delights. The pizza was cheesy and crunchy, the fish was crispy and rich, and the chips were fluffy and still sizzling from the deep fat fryer. The star of the show was the curry sauce which was deeply consequential. I visit here in my dreams

11/04/2025: Best Takeaway in town , Staff was Extremely Friendly,Service was outstanding, Food was delicious, Doesn't matter what you crave Pizza,Burger or kebabs everything was top notch. highly recommend, If you ever visit Rosscarbery, Best place to have Munch.

10/08/2025: Visited Route Fourteen with my family for lunch. The food was great, the dining area was spacious, but I have a few points I hope can be considered to improve the service. There were two lunch menus on our visit: one standard lunch menu (same as website) and one specific for the day or week. We ordered from the second menu since they seemed seasonal and more fresh than the regular menu. The prices were similar to other gastropubs around Cork City. I ordered pork belly with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The pork was stuffed with walnuts and dates, a stuffing I would have never thought would taste so nice with pork. Other dishes we had were the "Smash Burger" and Reuben sandwich. We ordered chicken wings with buffalo sauce for starters. Everybody enjoyed their orders but the beef in the Reuben would be better if it was not heated much. For dessert we had a mango and raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue. Both were presented nicely and tasted amazing. They are best eaten between two people as they are large desserts. We were seated at a bright high table by the window, however we were near a large private booking and I felt a bit under pressure as the staff were setting the tables around us for the arriving diners. Given that the venue was not busy when we arrived, I would have preferred sitting further away from the large group booking. I would highly recommend visiting Route Fourteen on your next day out for lunch or dinner at a gastropub.

25/08/2025: The worst pizza I've ever eaten. We've ordered #5 in the menu: red pesto base roasted peppers mixed mushrooms, onion, mascarpone, mozzarella.The pizza was so heavy and greasy, it was hard to eat. Besides untasty. We've barely eaten the 1/4 of it. Though we are not so picky.

08/08/2025: Inside the Marina Market, the Brazilian barbecue joint (the owner will roll his eyes at me if I say it's an Argentinian barbecue 😁) makes delicious asados. The meat is tender and cooked perfectly. Delicious!

30/07/2025: I definitely won't be going back. The so called smoked pork belly didn't taste smoked at all and the portion was decent if it was for a child. I wasn't impressed with paying €6 for a tablespoon worth of chimichurri either.

06/08/2025: Soma truly is a wonderful, groovy experience! Delicious coffee and treats, always great tunes on the go, outdoor seating, and a fantastic atmosphere with some of the loveliest baristas in all of cork city! Count yourself extra lucky if you get a coffee from Struan, he knows how to make the perfect coffee everytime!!

25/07/2025: My Mam and I came here for lunch recently - I had a gluten free toasted special sandwich and she had the chicken stuffing sandwich, both served with chips. Both our meals were delicious and we found the staff very helpful too.

08/07/2025: I'm not a food snob , I just like nice food well cooked and well served , always visit here on my visits to Cork , lovely service and reasonable prices .

29/08/2025: Good food and drink but the place is full of flys and the staff do nothing about it except keep saying sorry. There are a few bug zippers up by the counter but not anywhere else.

15/08/2025: Sandwiches are really very tasty but I do think for €8.50, they could put a few crisps/salad on the plate. Presentation is everything. I know inflation is crazy these days but I think if you’re paying nearly a tenner for a sandwich then they should add something with it. Other than that very tasty.

28/08/2025: Really nice place for lunch and a pint, Sorry no Guinness only Beamish or Murphy's but very nice.

25/08/2025: The food tasted lovely but the service was a bit poor. Arrival check in wasn’t very friendly & unfortunately the waiting staff took a really long time to take our order. But maybe they were short staffed.

10/08/2025: Such nice coffee here every time. Got the acai bowl here recently too and it was delicious. Have great memories of coffee here after our daughter was born. Really lovely spot!
