15/01/2025: We recently ordered a selection of food hampers from On The Pigs Back and were really happy with them. The hampers were beautifully presented and filled with an exceptional selection of Irish and French produce. Having always enjoyed visiting the café in Cork, we were delighted to see the same high standards and care reflected in their home deliveries

14/05/2025: Stopped in while waiting for our bus and had a lovely time! The owner mentioned she had recently took over the business in the last 3 weeks. Incredibly welcoming and kind, she gave us information about some of the different places we planned to travel to in the area. Beautiful views. I had the wrap which was grilled and super tasty. My husband got a panini which was on really nice baguette bread and looked amazing.

19/05/2025: Este es nuestro lugar cuando no tenemos una reserva, pero queremos un poco de buena comida con un excelente servicio y relación calidad-precio. La comida es consistentemente buena en todos los aspectos de la experiencia gastronómica, preparada fresca, servida como una buena porción, siempre sabrosa y que representa una buena relación calidad-precio. Con 2 menús que se ofrecen (asiático y japonés temático) hay algo para todos los paladares, incluyendo cajas de Bento, platos de Pad Thai, curry y una impresionante gama de platos de arroz, filetes, etc. La comida que se ofrece tiene un perfil de sabor que simplemente no existe en la mayoría de los otros restaurantes asiáticos. Creo que este sitio de Carey's Lane es el único restaurante Soba que ofrece ambos menús, dentro de los cuales tengo una serie de platos favoritos, incluyendo Unadon, ser un filete de anguila en una cama de arroz con una ensalada de algas y una sopa de miso (hermosa) o Karaage Don, ser un pollo crujiente de estilo japonés (siempre bueno) mientras que mi pareja nunca varía de la carne de chile de albahaca tailandesa que es tan tierna que simplemente se derrite en la boca. Joanne y las chicas que son las verdaderas estrellas de su experiencia gastronómica, le dará la bienvenida como un miembro de la familia que regresa y el servicio a partir de entonces es simplemente insuperable. Cualquier cambio requerido en los ingredientes se atiende perfectamente y el plato resultante presentado a las mesas simplemente nunca deja de impresionar, al tiempo que ofrece una buena relación calidad-precio. Este sitio es un entorno de restaurante simple, pero las damas que cuidan de usted hacen un ambiente tan relajante y cómodo y una experiencia gastronómica muy agradable. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita, no te decepcionará.

08/06/2025: The best food I've had in a while. Best cocktail I've ever had. Best music while we were eating. Absolutely criminal why there wasn't a queue out the door. That said we tried to book a table and it said none available, turned up on the off chance and the place was empty. Best food/drink /music ever! So happy 🤤🤤🤤 (I would fight people for the beef tacos!)

10/05/2025: To be honest quite shocked at the service here. I’m a Ballincollig local for nearly 20 years and have gone to the Plaza many times. This time recently, I thought the service was appalling - the lady/manager/owner I’m not sure who is always there uses an out of date till and was extremely abrupt with us when we asked about the receipt. She shouldn’t be front of house if she doesn’t know how to deal with customers. It’s a grand place nothing to write home about anymore.

03/05/2025: Desde la llegada hasta la salida el servicio fue excelente. La opción en el menú era amplia. La comida era excelente, sabores encantadores, la presentación era encantadora, la comida estaba caliente y muy sabrosa. El ambiente era relajado. El personal era muy amable. Buena relación calidad-precio. En general, una excelente experiencia.

20/06/2025: Colm, the owner, is friendly and welcoming. They have several local draft beers and whiskey choices. Fabulous live music on Thursday.

18/05/2025: Tomé unos cafés aquí y probé un croissant con jamón y queso. El café no es el mejor, le ponen demasiada leche, pero el croissant es delicioso. Está muy bien decorado y tienen un montón de productos, algo para todos. Los precios son asequibles y también tienen una terraza al aire libre.

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

03/06/2025: Aunque este es un restaurante caro, sin duda vale la pena. El servicio fue amable y relajado. La comida es excepcional! Hemos cenado en algunos de los mejores restaurantes de todo el mundo y esto se encuentra en uno de los mejores lugares. El ambiente y la vista son impresionantes. La sopa de calabacines y puerros fue deliciosa y me calentó el alma. El muelle era exquisito. La cena de pollo se hizo perfectamente. Tenía la pera - mousseline mille feuille con crema inglesa de postre... .. excepcional! Las selecciones de vino fueron igualmente fantástico. Recomendaría encarecidamente este restaurante para una experiencia gastronómica elegante pero relajada mientras está en Cork.
