16/10/2025: The Allihies Copper Mine Museum is a small but extremely informative museum – lovingly designed and full of fascinating insights into the history of copper mining in this region. The exhibition is presented in a modern style and impressively conveys how hard and deprived the lives of the miners once were. The personal atmosphere is particularly pleasant: you can feel the dedication with which the museum is run. The location in the picturesque village of Allihies, surrounded by impressive coastal scenery, also makes a visit a special experience. A small, yet exquisite museum that should not be missed – highly recommended!

28/12/2025: Thank god this restaurant is back on track. It went a bit off track for a while and we stopped going. Now whatever happened it's back to the way it should be. Superb menu . Great staff and prices are right. Compliments to the kitchen on taste and presentation. 10/10 top marks

22/12/2025: When the food come in, the waitress got our food wrong, actually we never noticed as the burger and chip were the same just come with a corn side instead of the chips, then he come back with another burger saying he got it wrong, but we were already eating, so he said sorry but I have to take that burger belongs to someone else, we told him was already touched it's ok we don't charge it, then he left the other burger on the table went to see the manager, manager comes in and said I apologise I just changed the burger from your plate, can you use your hands mine are dirty OMG what is that, how many times have that happened and some else got food already in some one else table. Horrible service, horrible experience, too expensive, I had to be the waitress, I was the one that had to take the orders online, the menu that the staff gave us didn't match the online menu. We had to bring our own forks and knives to the table. We had to log in into their WiFi to do it, pay also online, and before someone tells that you can go the till, the staff was so rude that told us no just online if YOU CAN NOT DO IT WE CAN HELP YOU ONLINE BUT IS PRETTY EASY they said it, was ok but I was with my parents that are don't understand so much about technology, so that is ridiculous, is the last time we are using and eating in there for sure. Plenty of other places

02/01/2026: Best pub of the whole trip through Ireland. Authentic atmosphere and Irish spirit. Calm and with service accompanied by discreet Irish friendliness. The pint of Murphys was the best I drank in Ireland and accompanied by good music it tasted even better.

12/12/2025: So my partner went to his work do tonight at this place and he leaves the place to go shop ,he comes back and the bouncer wouldn’t let him back (saying he was drunk) when my partner rang me and said this I was confused tbh cause when I say my partner was sober I actually mean it ,I know what he’s like when drunk and I can tell you now he wasn’t even near it! So I’ve rang up to speak to manage I spoke with the manager she sounded lovely on the phone i told her the situation and that he’s bomber jacket was still inside the place so she said she’ll go speak to him find out what’s going on so get off the phone with her after thanking her for help for my partner to video call me and show a women shouting at him saying your being aggressive when he clearly wasn’t and then told him they can’t find the bomber jacket when they could of allowed him to go get it and then come back out. There was literally a lot more drunken unable to speak people in that place and outside of it but my partner got treated like this !

30/11/2025: Love everything about the Mardyke, Good Food, Drink🍻 Arcades Bowling 🎳 and Karaoke 🎤 Perfect nights to have and activities all in one. Making bookings is easy changing and even extending times. Staff are some of the soundest people, Keep up the good work!

03/01/2026: We were visiting Cork and went in for a few drinks. Everything was fine until, before we had finished our drinks, we were asked to give the table because it was for customers. Rude and disappointing experience, and a sad first impression of the city.

29/10/2025: Multiple staff members told us we couldn't stay at a table if all we had was water, despite a few of us having pints. Nice evening up until then. Won't bother coming back

24/12/2025: Food is okay, atmosphere is very nice. There are plenty of car park spaces outside. Both waiter and waitress are friendly and welcoming. Starter: Pork & crab roll (average) Main: Chicken Khao Soi (noodles) & Pork wonton with barbecue pork ball (soup) - recommended Dessert: Ube ice-cream + Namkhaeng Sai - recommended

13/10/2025: Stopped by The Glass House at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork for drinks, and it’s exactly the kind of spot you want on a sunny afternoon. The view is incredible especially if you sit outside, you can see almost the entire city, which makes for the perfect backdrop. 🌞🍹 I went with a cocktail and a small plate, and both were delightful well-made, refreshing, and perfect for a leisurely sip while taking in the view. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks with a view. Nothing over the top just good drinks, stunning scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere.
