The best restaurants in Cork city council

25/08/2026: To be honest by this point I was about 13 pints into my exploration of Cork but it was a nice spacious place, plenty of seating, with quick service and a lovely pint of Murphy's. Karaoke was on but thin on the uptake, it was a Sunday though. Good vibes.

15/10/2026: Fab crepes and doughnuts, excellent service

10/09/2026: john's fried chicken and foot massage is absolutely top tier 🔥🔥🔥

02/09/2026: The food was pretty decent, its fried chicken what do you expect, but when I finished eating it started raining red rain outside, only for a few seconds. Immediately after, a blue smiley face appeared above my waiter with a clock, and shortly after turned him blue! I will have to say as well I saw some zombies crawling around the place, wanting fresh meat? It was probably all in my head. Oh and right after I left the place I started running from my sins.

08/10/2026: Amazing birria tacos and nachos, perfect for sharing between two people. The portions were generous and everything was full of flavour. The staff were friendly, we barely had to wait for our food, and they also have an outdoor area. Definitely recommend trying the birria tacos! 🌮

19/10/2026: I rarely write reviews, but Moody’s deserves one! Every single time I visit, the experience is exceptional. The staff are always so friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the service is consistently outstanding. The food is absolutely incredible and genuinely never disappoints. It’s by far my favourite spot in Cork City, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. A huge credit to everyone working there!

16/09/2026: This is a restaurant which aims to reintroduce people into the world of wirk again. It is well located, has good coffee and snacks and a set lunch mdnu at a reasonable price. A pleasant place to sit by the Banks of the Lee while enjoying a coffee.

08/06/2026: I had a lovely experience at the Haven Cafe Cork. This spot has a really nice atmosphere, the food was good and the staff were incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee, I would definitely recommend! Thanks guys!

03/09/2026: love this place so much, always great crowd, always the best time. so disappointed with the service tonight, very snarky bartender. she talked down to us after we questioned our half filled drink. it had been served in a different glass but that wasn’t the issue, just the attitude.

20/08/2026: I went in with a few mates and I ordered a drink and they asked for my ID as to which I gave them and they took a look at it then looked at me then told me to go somewhere else even tho the ID clearly looks like me. I added the photo of my ID and a photo of me just to prove it was definitely me in this complaint

23/08/2026: Great big bar. Huge variety of beers and spirits. Live music at the weekend.

20/07/2026: Attended an engagement party & never seen so much unnecessary stress brought on the host by the venue. Complete lack of communication from the venue for weeks while she was trying to get simple responses about requests. Details changing last minute after no communication between staff about starting/finishing times for music, tables being reserved for other parties after different information had been given to the host. Very unorganised. Once party had been booked host was then informed that the music outdoors had to be stopped early due to residents this should have been reiterated earlier to her. To then be told you cannot reserve tables inside so people can go enjoy music indoors. Food organised from venue next door Ended up feeding another party that was also outdoors so more money had to be spent on food last minute? Just completely avoidable misinformation being based between staff and the host

28/10/2026: I had a lovely experience dining here! I had the choice to order at the till, or from a display screen on the wall, right of the entrance as you come in. I chose to order from the screen, which meant a short wait in line, and then it was very quick and easy to order and find what I wanted. I ordered and iced latte and a brie sandwich! I had to wait a bit and they then called my name for the order at the counter. I chose to sit outside because the weather was nice, but there is indoor seating as well. The brie sandwich was heavenly!! The latte was good too! I was there with a friend and we had a very nice conversation in the relatively quiet outdoor seating!

13/08/2026: Middle-sized bookshop with stationery (very little) and newspapers (quite a lot of Irish and British titles, the largest choice in town). Wide range of books about politics and history of Ireland, but barely anything in literary critic or linguistics.

27/09/2026: Lovely food, lovey atmosphere, excellent service, lovely staff and super service. Highly recommnd it.

08/09/2026: Sunday evening meal in blarney Busy spot and we’re not surprised Staff were lovely food was fresh and served promptly all very tasty Reasonable prices Shared starter nice touch to bring two side plates to the table Shame we live so far away or we’d be back to sample the desserts… maybe next visit

18/09/2026: Hi There,,, I go to this shop frequently and the coffe is the Best on the road like the advertising, not joking! Everything is organised and clean!!! And One of the Girls staff, Tara think is her name is focused always in customer attention 👍👍👍🙂🙂

15/09/2026: Had a blast coming in today looking for some snacks and drinks on my road trip. I drive a Tesla (who wouldn’t), so I didn’t need to stop at a petrol station, but I made the right decision. The manager directed me to all the options they had and I was delighted dealing with herself and the staff today. I’ll be back for more snacks for sure, gotta keep in (spherical) shape!

18/11/2025: Very good prices. I've been going to akira for a while now, when I want some comfort food and something that is not that expensive and fancy. The girls upstairs are amazing and give you a proper japanese experience. There are some amazing dishes like the ramen, it's not that easy to find a heavy and comfy ramen like in Akira. Usually I feel Japanese restaurants have become something superfancy that don't make you feel like home. Everything is about the rules and about expensive sushi, but Akira goes beyond that. Akira takes the typical Japanese experience and brings it to your table for a really good price. To put an example the sake is something that goes for 40€ minimum in most japanese restaurants. If I remember right, you can have bottles of Sake for less than 25 euros in Akira.And even Wine. But not only focusing on the prices .Overall Akira has made me feel like the place to go, when I'm not sure what I want and never failed for a second. Thanks to all the staff.

30/10/2025: Delicious Japanese food, super friendly service, and a sensational atmosphere; for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine like me, this restaurant is an excellent choice!

01/10/2026: Stopped in here for food while passing, quiet pub with a few locals at the bar. Food choices are burgers, chips and wings. They have gluten free options. Staff were friendly.

18/07/2026: Excellent burgers. Good local atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
