18/07/2025: We discovered this place by chance while looking for dinner in Cork. It was a great success. The waitress (from Granada) was super competent (brilliant), the rest of the staff was equally so, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere, with live traditional music, was brilliant. The prices were very good for the Republic of Ireland, especially considering the huge dishes. The cheapest pints of beer I've ever had, and I've had a few now...

10/06/2025: Lovely pub. The inside is cute and welcoming, the staff is super nice. Outside they have a bigger area that is really nice and on Wednesdays they have the quizz, a blast. Definitely recommend coming over.

23/08/2025: The tropical smoothie is really good – refreshing and full of flavour. It’s a great option just outside UCC, especially with the bustling crowd adding to the lively vibe. The brownie is absolutely fantastic – rich, indulgent, and worth trying!

04/08/2025: Decent cafe, but serving a cappuccino in a paper cup is terrible when having it in the cafe. However, the staff were friendly and the cappuccino was quite good despite the awful paper cup. The atmosphere was really chill and there was the option to sit inside or outside. The seating was comfortable and it was overall fairly clean. They also have loyalty cards which is a nice touch.

08/07/2025: The Mardyke is a great place to have a fun night out in Cork. It has pool, bowling, an arcade, and so much more to offer. I come here the most often for pool, but I've also participated in karaoke pub quiz nights which are so fun. It's always a great time, the facilities are all clean and up-to-date, and it has a great atmosphere. The staff is great as well; Hayley is the best and always makes sure you're well taken care of!

23/07/2025: I got Lunch Sandwich Special here yesterday for a small party in my house Sndwiches, wraps & rolls...different variety of each...all very fresh tasty...and all enjoyed by my guests!!!Most asked where I got them and had no problem passing on details... Would highly recommend

09/07/2025: Staff are always lovely, food and coffee are great and very reasonably priced in comparison to other establishments in the Blackrock area. Really good selection of sandwiches, almost too good though, hard to make up your mind 🤣

13/08/2025: Wonderful 3 night stay, great breakfast and dinner. . One point no tea spoons on any tables for 2 morning.

15/08/2025: I loved their self car wash cause of the active foam and the results afterwards, didn't have to spent a fortune to get my car CLEAN... but however I went there at total of 3 times, the first time was perfect experience, the 2nd time the boxes were OOO the third time I spent a FORTUNE to get my car clean... the soapy water that's supposed to come out when you brush didn't work and basically just made the car dirtier as before as the shampoo dried faster than I was able to brush... I went into the store after I somehow got all the shampoo off with water... Told them that something is not working right with the brush and the staff made me feel like I wouldn't know how to wash my car?! He didn't even go and took a look with me to see what was going on... Well anyways I left disappointed, went to a other car wash to get somehow the shampoo stuff off... I am pretty upset and feel misunderstood, I won't come back there. I will stick to a different one further away which never disappointed me so far. :-)

10/08/2025: Clean, tidy, huge food range to select from. Plenty of sit down areas to eat,toilets upstairs. Car parking available outside. Generally always a busy spot.

05/09/2025: It's one of my all-time favourites in Cork City. Any time someone visitis me in Cork, i take them here. A good range of food, from healthy to hearty. Good portions, reasonable pricing, friendly staff and tots to die for! The smoothies are always a nice addition to the meal.

31/08/2025: Best of luck to the new owners hopefully they have more respect to their regulars who came week in week out. Planned to come at 3 which was original planned for them to change to 6 pm and them refuse us at door because the lynches said it was too busy. They were well able to take my money when tumble weed was blowing across bar.

23/04/2025: My favourite Pub in town!!! Super friendly Staff!!! A warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a great selection of beers at fair prices. It’s always a pleasure to stop by! I do miss the Cotton Ball beers (hope it makes a return soon)! Overall, just a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

03/08/2025: There was a small issue which was completely my fault and the young female manager/supervisor (I’m assuming) was excellent and so professional in fixing it. I didn’t get her name but she was great and resolved the issue quick and seamlessly!

26/06/2025: Honestly I think it may be one of the best places in cork for pizza delivery, the quality is crazy good

26/07/2025: Food was really not to our liking. Staff were ok. Nice enough to replace a dish that was totally different to what the menu says.
