The best restaurants in Cork city council

26/09/2025: Stopped by this coffee shop this morning for a cortado and something to go — and wow! The cortado was absolute perfection, and the almond croissant was just as impressive. To top it off, they were playing Radiohead, which gave the place such a great vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fantastic coffee and fresh-baked goods!

18/11/2025: Very good prices. I've been going to akira for a while now, when I want some comfort food and something that is not that expensive and fancy. The girls upstairs are amazing and give you a proper japanese experience. There are some amazing dishes like the ramen, it's not that easy to find a heavy and comfy ramen like in Akira. Usually I feel Japanese restaurants have become something superfancy that don't make you feel like home. Everything is about the rules and about expensive sushi, but Akira goes beyond that. Akira takes the typical Japanese experience and brings it to your table for a really good price. To put an example the sake is something that goes for 40€ minimum in most japanese restaurants. If I remember right, you can have bottles of Sake for less than 25 euros in Akira.And even Wine. But not only focusing on the prices .Overall Akira has made me feel like the place to go, when I'm not sure what I want and never failed for a second. Thanks to all the staff.

23/07/2025: I got Lunch Sandwich Special here yesterday for a small party in my house Sndwiches, wraps & rolls...different variety of each...all very fresh tasty...and all enjoyed by my guests!!!Most asked where I got them and had no problem passing on details... Would highly recommend

09/07/2025: Staff are always lovely, food and coffee are great and very reasonably priced in comparison to other establishments in the Blackrock area. Really good selection of sandwiches, almost too good though, hard to make up your mind 🤣

02/10/2025: Came here on a busy day when they were really understaffed. The staff were so lovely and patient with everyone even though they were clearly stressed. Very impressed

20/07/2025: I ordered the "kebab box" from this establishment and got a small box mostly filled with chips. I returned to the shop to tell them I didn't order chips and that chips were not in the description of the "kebab box" only to be told that of course chips are included in the kebab box. Doesn't seem logical to me, would avoid.

22/03/2026: Great shop, handy location. Pitty about current fuel prices but it's out of their control.. staff are friendly and facilities are spotless

26/03/2026: 22nd Sunday night I was met at the door by security man Stephen Crowley, an was told that I couldn’t come in because I apparently stole a glass, when I was drinking vodka rasa (a drink I never drink) as I work in a bar myself an see the outcome of the drink I was never drown to ever buy one, so for him to accuse me of stealing a glass is very unprofessional, I rarely come to Reardans an will probably not come back for a long while if the bouncers love to make up lies for so entry

28/02/2026: Met Conor, Darren & Britney tonight they were absolutely brilliant to me & my partner visiting Cork for the weekend! Made us feel right at home and went over and above for us. Great bar, will be back !

18/12/2025: Had the most delicious pizza here recently, and the garlic bread was divine! The staff are so friendly, its such a lovely cosy pub with a really nice atmosphere. Will definately be back👍

27/10/2025: Excellent Chinese. I'm not from Cork, stumbled across Noodlee Mahon. Friendly staff, more importantly the food was very good. Most bad reviews seem to surround the delivery time, didn't impact me I was in the shop. I'd 100% recommend and will return if I'm back down that way.

15/09/2025: We ordered take away few days ago and it was delicious, my wife got vegetarian chicken cow main and I got black bean chicken. Food was great, delivery less than 30min. Will order again for sure

23/10/2025: Seems to be only a haven for racist and fascist ideologies. Walking down the street, I took off a sticker for an openly fascist political party on a pole near the cafe. Almost immediately, three men ran out from the cafe, dressed in clothes that indicated they worked there. They screamed at me, threatened me, and intimated that they had put up the sticker. I have no idea if the owner holds these views or is aware that at least three people working there do so, but it certainly casts doubt on the cafe’s name and reputation.

28/11/2025: I got a burger and chips here. The food was pleasant and the staff very friendly. The Black Market was freezing cold but that is not the fault of the vendor.

09/04/2026: Me and my boy friend used to like here. Get a quick meal and the price is reasonable for students

20/03/2026: my thirteen year old cousin is obsessed with this place. particularly the mr breast burger. i followed him on his date with his girlfriend the other day.

18/02/2026: Went in here for a quick drink. Had Murphys and a G&T. Prices on par with other pubs in the area and London. They had the 6 Nations game on (Ireland v Italy). Wasn't a loud pub as sometimes you expect with pubs showing sports. Would recommend

22/01/2026: Could be a good pub but the owners distaste towards the English came across very badly. Traditional Irish pub with a great selection of beers but hate the English, stay clear.

11/01/2026: The only Chinese I'll go to. Satay is the best in cork, prices are really good and portions are unreal

19/09/2025: Chips were okay, warm but not the best, the chicken was horrible, and I genuinely cannot stress that enough it came cold sort of, and some of it was crispy but majority of the pieces were half soggy which is disgusting and I couldn’t eat it.

22/10/2025: Pizzeria Blarney never disappoints the portion sizes are great, and they always put plenty of chicken and meat in their dishes. I’ve yet to try anything off the menu that I didn’t like. The food is always lovely and so tasty. Highly recommend one of my favourites
