The best restaurants in Cork city council

14/08/2025: Cake was delicious, beautifully presented and a real treat for the guests. Very happy with service overall.

03/08/2025: Have ordered a few times from Denise's and Her Apple tarts are to die for..Also fruit scones, Lemon Madeira cake,Oxford lunch cake,are scrumptious. Fast delivery Very friendly service.

13/11/2025: Cute little place with good coffee and good food. Service is fast and efficient. I love their overnight oats dish.

19/09/2025: Put in my order of soup and brown bread, a toasted sandwich and a side order of chips. My glass of water and cutlery arrived on a side plate which were dropped at the far side of my table, unusual I thought. A few minutes late the waitress arrived back and stretched across in front of me to place a soup spoon on my sideplate. She was holding the spoon by the bowl. More unusual I thought. My food arrived all together. This is getting ridiculous! Who serves two courses at the same time? The soup and brown bread were delicious. However, by the time I got around to eating my main course the chips were cold. The sandwich was horribly greasy. The side salad was chopped into tiny silly little pieces making it impossible for me to disgard the cucumber which I can’t abide. If I ever go back there I will only have the soup. Hopefully, in the meantime, they will train their staff.

23/08/2025: Went for breakfast. Food and service were so good that I returned for lunch the next day.

30/10/2025: The setting is lovely, but the waiters are unabashedly snobbish. I only recommend it if you fit the criteria of an upper-class clientele. It's mediocre.

21/09/2025: What a find. Walk up the stairs to a bar back in time. The OG wooden floors and tables and bar make the vibe on point. And the drinks are top notch. We ordered off menu and was no problem.

09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.

09/11/2025: It has to be a hardworking Chinese person. There aren't many places offering food by 2 PM. The owner repeatedly confirmed that the menu was only in English, was that okay? I ordered pad thai with beef. I also ordered fried shrimp cakes as a snack, such a familiar taste. The pad thai was a modified version, but it was still pretty good. After all, to cater to locals, the flavors need to be adjusted; if it's too authentic, it won't be successful. The owner was also very friendly and chatted a lot. I wish her great success in her business.

30/10/2025: The worst Thai green curry ever. Ate a small portion but didn’t like it at all. Ended up in d bathroom more than ever since eating it (tmi). My son took a spoon full of it and spit it out into d bin. Rang them they didn’t care. Won’t be having it ever again 🤮 disgusting. Hopefully will feel better tomorrow..,,🫩 as u can see all d food is in bin 🤢

01/09/2025: Only takeaway cups despite having seating inside and outside. That's enough to put me off but the quality of the coffee has declined too.

13/09/2025: #blackpool only# I dont know where to begin. First of all I want to note this is the third strike. First time the intercom /language barrier. Got the order completely wrong and when I returned to the shop counter with my reciept I was met with very negative and unprofessional behaviour. I did receive the remaining items but it was too late because the family had eaten the food they had received. #big order bye the way? €60 +. The second time was a similar order and the food was not good whatsoever. And guess what?? Items missing yet again. This time i went back trough the drive thru and in all honesty the staff member was extremely helpful and polite. Third time and most recent to this review, agreed with my partner to go to dinos for a convenient supper as i was working later than usual. Once again we ordered a similar order to the usual but I decided to get a 3 piece snack box, In all honesty I never had chips so dehydrated and reheated in my life.chicken skin was flavoursome but the chicken was extremely poor and not nice to eat. Onion rings that were so greasy and had zero batter/crunch to them. Partner had a breast in a bun meal that usually delivers a great response and struggled to comment on how to eat it because it was so dry. Kids burger meals were eaten by my children but they also commented on the chips. And last but not least the cheese and onion pies were missing from the order. The staff member did acknowledge me at the drive thru before I said anything about it and apologised and had the pies at the ready. Just not a good experience tbh.

27/10/2025: Excellent Chinese. I'm not from Cork, stumbled across Noodlee Mahon. Friendly staff, more importantly the food was very good. Most bad reviews seem to surround the delivery time, didn't impact me I was in the shop. I'd 100% recommend and will return if I'm back down that way.

15/09/2025: We ordered take away few days ago and it was delicious, my wife got vegetarian chicken cow main and I got black bean chicken. Food was great, delivery less than 30min. Will order again for sure

13/10/2025: Stopped by The Glass House at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork for drinks, and it’s exactly the kind of spot you want on a sunny afternoon. The view is incredible especially if you sit outside, you can see almost the entire city, which makes for the perfect backdrop. 🌞🍹 I went with a cocktail and a small plate, and both were delightful well-made, refreshing, and perfect for a leisurely sip while taking in the view. The staff were attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks with a view. Nothing over the top just good drinks, stunning scenery, and a relaxed atmosphere.
