28/11/2024: Nice pub, great vegan options and nonalcoholic drinks as well.

25/11/2024: Rude, Judgmental, and Outdated After a day exploring Cork, my partner and I stopped at this pub for a drink. Upon sitting down, we were rudely told we weren’t allowed in because they thought we were wearing tracksuits—which we weren’t. After pointing this out, the staff barely acknowledged their mistake, offering no apology and maintaining a dismissive attitude. In a time when pubs are struggling, it’s shocking to see such a pretentious, outdated dress code enforced, especially with such rude and judgmental staff. With plenty of welcoming pubs in Cork, I’d recommend avoiding this one entirely.

10/10/2024: The staff are so abrupt and lacking manners. They are not kind or deserving of a tip. The food is good but the staff puts me off returning there

15/09/2024: Lovely cafe, great food and helpful staff and service.

18/12/2024: Service was diabolical. There were 3 staff members behind the bar when I went up for a drink. There was no one else at the bar. Each member went for a stroll outside the bar , came back chatted, had some chocolate and walked away again. They might need to go to Spec Savers or take a customer service course. At least a 10 minute wait.

23/11/2024: Nice enough pub. Not a great selection of draught beer. I asked for a hot toddy and the girl behind the counter didn't have any idea what it was! I then said "hot whiskey" at which she said ah ok. She then served up a whiskey with hot water and a slice of orange!!!

25/10/2024: Was here for dinner this evening with the lovely Ursula Nice cosy spot. We were warmly greeted by the excellent staff and shown to our table. The service is top class. We had great attention shown to us throughout the meal. The food is superb! We had spring rolls, spicy chicken wings for starters which were delicious. The main courses of chicken satay and beef with black bean sauce and egg fried rice was superb. Also great value and don’t forget to tip the lovely staff, they’re great! Highly recommended

21/10/2024: Great food, portions were absolutely perfect and the service was excellent very friendly staff and extremely efficient and the place was clean and a nice atmosphere , well done AROMA 5 stars all round thanks

10/11/2024: Staff uninterested. Food cold. Booked in advance was seated by the door. Asked to be moved told no tables available even though there was plenty of empty tables. Overpriced for cold tasteless food.

09/11/2024: 12 of us booked here tonight (09/11/2024) for my Moms college graduation meal and it was a fantastic choice. Food was amazing, portions were well worth the money and there was no issue in swapping a few things around on the meals to suit our needs. My daughter wanted fish but also chicken so they gave her fish and chips with a few goujons on the side. Service was fantastic and the craic was mighty :). All left overs were taken home and eaten later on. I have been here a few times before but not in a big setting on 12 and the food and service was just as good with a tablet of 12 as it was as a table of 2. Thanks again to all who dealt with us... and for taking a few snaps for us :)

28/11/2024: Delicious pizzas! Highly recommended. The waiter was super attentive and very friendly.

25/11/2024: One of the best Pizzas I've got. Got the Spicy Oil from there too 😜 but please don't tell anyone. The staff was so incredibly nice, that I forgot my card in the pay machine. Can you imagine, going back in the Storm Bert to pick it up the same night. Will definitely be back there

26/11/2024: Beautiful food, plenty social distancing but the service was very slow. However I would give them the benefit of the doubt as they are just open and the staff looked very young so they were probably learning on the job.

08/12/2024: Had dinner here today a party of 8. There was a mix up with our booking and it was handled so well by Amanda. We were accommodated quickly even though it was very busy and made feel very welcome. Food was amazing everyone was very happy. Monk fish tacos and Tandoori chicken a must!

07/12/2024: The atmosphere is dreadful in the bar, no TVs on or anything showing a match and its a Sat. It can be like a morgue in there sometimes. €17 for a portion of wings is a disgrace, 9 tiny chicken wings in it. I had to ask 2 different staff members if they were really the large wings and they confirmed. We got the large nachos also and they were sent back as the were disgusting. Broke apart the second you touched them and a tablespoon of beef on them. The odd time we come here as we are locals and the food can be lovely but its starting to go downhill fast.

29/10/2024: Ordered on deliveroo and so impressed. Chips were slightly over salted but the double smash bacon cheeseburger was god-like. Spectacular. Definitely returning. Delivery time was also insanely prompt. Quality to cost ratio also 👌🏻

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

09/12/2024: Had a really bad experience here recently, which is a pity as I have enjoyed good food from here before. Delays and mistakes happen and I would completely understand that, but not the way the way the staff reacted to the mistake. Pretty unacceptable when you have to ask repeatedly about your €50 order after 30 minutes. The order was clearly missed as the staff all started asking each other about my order number after I asked for an update, then I was lied to and told the delay was the time it took to cook the grilled chicken. Grilled chicken was cooked several times over while waited. But if you are to take was I was told as a fact - it takes over 30 minutes for a grilled chicken order here. I was treated like a fool after an expensive order and long wait. In the end I was also given doner chicken instead the more expensive grilled chicken I had paid for and was given as the reason for the delay. A very frustrating experience

24/11/2024: Me and the missus got a lamb kebab each , hands down the nicest kebabs we've eaten in this country , shes from England so her standards are fairly high 😅 but she says the same 👍🔥
