10/12/2024: The Old Oak. Is a Fine big bar on Oliver Plunkett Street in Centre of Cork Centre! Not far from GPO. A Lively place plenty of live Music and big selection of alcoholic beverages and Cocktails from their 3 or 4 Bars! You can eat here too! Friendly staff sometimes. Good Atmosphere usually but can get very Busy in the Evening. There is Live Sport on their wide screen TVs too! Great place for Groups Couples or on your own! Bit Pricey for a pint of Guinness.

25/11/2024: I got Spicy Mix and it wasn’t the best value for money, the box was half empty and it was almost €12. Chicken was tasty and fries were ok but unfortunately that was not enough food for that price, and way too much onion. Might try their Jianbing in the future.
19/10/2024: Best boba in Cork. I personally like fruit tea so that's what I get. I had boba at other places and they always seem to put lemon or lime slices into the tea which kind of changes the flavor, Laodao doesn't do that. I love them for that

04/11/2024: I went to this place after looking at the reviews and pictures online . I was very excited to try a nice traditional Irish stew as the pictures looked great. Unfortunately the Irish stew was one of the worst I have tried in Ireland. It was extremely watery and seemed more like a broth than a stew. The potatoes were hard and the meat was tough. The place and the staff were really nice but the food wasn't up to scratch.

04/12/2024: Pleasantly surprised. Continental Europe in the heart of Cork. Hurriedly passed Tiramisu many times but always sensed good vibes. Today the stars aligned for breakfast. For starters, the coffee was excellent and the staff very courteous and helpful. Order from the counter and prices are reasonable. A bit slow on serving the Eggs Florentine but well worth the wait.

04/12/2024: Went for lunch on Monday, excellent food lovely seeing, went to pay bill and asked if I could have a 2euro in change for use in bathroom. girl said could not I'd have to cash a10 euro was paying with card ,so I said no problem. Checked my phone Tuesday to discover payment not taken for food rang them yesterday to pay bill 75euro asked if she would give me a few euro off for been honest her replyQuote! We can't give away free food!only asking for few off not a free meal so much for honesty

06/12/2024: Rooms are on the small side but nice and clean. Breakfast is nice with views or the river.

Stayed for a 2nd time on Dec 5th in room 224 only to be blasted with music from an adjacent function room event from when I went to bed at 12 until 1:30am.
Worst nights sleep I’ve had in any hotel. Check for parties in the function room before booking this room 🔊
03/12/2024: Booked MET room Snug area for a Christmas lunch. Lovely private space to chat properly. Hotel is brilliantly located on McCurtin street, next to the Everyman and the Christmas decorations were beautiful in reception. Really festive feel on entering. Thank you Evie events coordinator who we booked the snug through.
