27/04/2025: Very cool pub with a chill vibe, but the bartender was extremely rude. I definitely wouldn’t come back after the experience I had, and it’s a shame because it really is such a cool place.

29/04/2025: Had an incredible stay at the Montenotte Hotel – easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in Ireland. The views over Cork are stunning, the design is chic and inviting, and every detail has clearly been thought through. A special shout-out to Erin, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable – so warm, helpful, and professional. She truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Can’t wait to return!

28/04/2025: What a beautiful hotel in the City of Cork! My wife and I had a lovely stay. We really enjoyed the grounds and pool. Everyone was incredibly hospitable. Ken at the door had great recommendations!

20/05/2025: Service is dreadful, the food was inedible and the ambiance needs a lot more care. The garden view is nice though.

17/05/2025: Very disappointing. Shockingly poor service as no care provided by staff, but management lacking blamed entirely, as waiting for any attention asking for every single detail. Marguerites had no ice, was warm, asked for ice “sorry don’t provide frozen??” It’s ice, it’s a marguerita, ever heard of google? Pity a Mexican who braved the edges of Glanmire in for a shock. No napkins. Beer served in Guinness glasses. No plates with entrees. Shambles in all fairness. I’d probably say it is a roadside diner not a restaurant. Avoid if looking for a quality restaurant experience.

18/05/2025: Visited route 14 Saturday 17th may, lovely welcome once we stepped inside, had booked table for 5 which was ready and definitely recommend on booking beforehand, given plenty of time to look over two menus, which covered everything. Each of us ordered different foods and all came out together, manageress kept checking on us and couldn't do enough. Food was amazing, staff so friendly and polite and the atmosphere was buzzing. Definitely will be back.

04/05/2025: Ambiance is cozy, accomodating and comfortable. As much as we could, my husband and I would come here for lunch after Sunday mass because their sandwiches are a delight! Service is very friendly and quick as well. (This is also where my husband and I had our first date.)

10/04/2025: I was out with my Dad on Monday and Tuesday. We went in today (Thursday) to find out that why my Dad did not get served. There was a complaint about my dad and he did not do anything wrong. I have Cerebral Palsy and why did they done to my dad. He talks everybody and gets no complaints from anyone.

01/06/2025: I regularly venture to the anglers rest and I will definitely say that it can be hit or miss in terms of food but it I generally good and just depends on how busy it is. I was here 2 days ago for breakfast with my friend and when we got inside the door we hadn’t even reached the desk yet to be seated and a waitress rushed past us and said “2 minutes” with a bit of an attitude, bare in mind we didn’t even say anything or reach the desk yet. After a few minutes we were seated, and we sat there for 10 minutes, my friend had to go to the desk and ask for menus because every time we tried to get someone’s attention they wouldn’t make eye contact with us. We gave our orders and we weren’t waiting too long for our food and coffees, after we had finished eating we were still finishing our coffee and chatting away when a more senior member of staff (to my understanding) came and put the bill on our table and said “thanks” and just walked away Both me and my friend felt a bit unwelcome after that so we just paid and left

25/05/2025: We waited over 40 minutes for a burger and some chicken wings, and the place wasn’t busy at all. No idea what took so long but would not recommend. Staff were nice but it was pretty annoying to look at them all just standing around when you’re left three quarters of an hour waiting on what you thought would be a quick bite. The service rating isn’t a reflection on the floor staff, it’s just for the slow kitchen. Such a shame because it ruined what would otherwise have been an enjoyable experience.

09/03/2025: Great selection for lunch but would be great to have an option to have the sandwich made to order - bought ready made spiced beef baguette from the counter and was not expecting any mayo, had way too much for my liking.

22/01/2025: I bought 2 Eclairs a custard slice and a white sourdough loaf and I was wanting to buy everything in the shop. Everything smelt and looked quality and so fresh. The shop itself was so trendy and so clean. I will definitely get a sandwich or toasty next time. I’m a sucker for homemade and most places are saying they are home made but the quality just isn’t in the food. This place had what I was looking for. So authentic and I would even say they should be in the centre of the city where everyone can know they exist. I’ll be back for sure
