15/08/2025: Nice spot, nice vibe inside. Unfortunately when we arrived most of the tables inside were reserved but we still managed to find a comfy spot. Bartender seemed totally over it but served us ok.
09/08/2025: Excellent craft red beer they brew. The pizza wasn't bad either.

15/06/2025: I had high hopes for this place, but after witnessing what goes on behind closed doors, I can’t recommend it.
The lack of professionalism and questionable after-hours behaviour were deeply disappointing.
What’s worse, after leaving my honest opinion, I received an intimidating message. That says more about the place than any review could.
I was a regular customer. I expected decency, not fear.
Not sure if management is aware, but if they are, that alone should be a red flag.
Think twice before supporting this place.
14/06/2025: El fenix is possibly the best bar in cork city. Every single member of staff makes sure to make you feel welcomed. Savage music, beautiful pints, best spot in the city

28/05/2025: This pub is one of those pubs where you go there for the first time and you will definitely like it. It is a pub frequented by locals from this area and surroundings and also when the students are celebrating those student weeks this pub is very cool and laughs from beginning to end. I had the privilege of being there and only with the locals it was very good, fun and very friendly, I really liked it, in fact I loved it and I recommend it to anyone in the area to go there.

06/07/2025: We stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat one evening. The vegetable pakoras we had to start were nice. The vegan burger (which was ordered without hummus) was very dry and the bun had an odd texture. This might have been because it was a vegan brioche bun. The cauliflower steak was delicious and is definitely the best veggie/vegan option to go for.
The service was impeccable and the staff were very accommodating, despite our lack of a reservation. Our meal (with two pints) came to €65.

13/07/2025: We absolutely love Fernroyd House. My family of 8 stayed here, occupying 4 rooms. Each room was spacious and lovely, each also having its own ensuite bathroom. The made-from-scratch breakfast (including fresh baked scones!) was delicious & the perfect way to start the day. Tony and Avril are amazing hosts. The location is great… bars & restaurants all very walkable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
30/06/2025: Our stay at Fernroyd House was a great pleasure. The spacious and quiet room and en-suite bathroom were neat and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful experience with fruit and self made yogurt, freshly baked scones and delicious meals from the menu. Tony’s and Avril’s service made us perfectly happy. We will definitely return! Thank you for everything.

27/08/2025: Good spot especially on a summers day. Nice outdoor seated area and marquee. Plenty of green space for kids to run around in a safe way. Need to book in advance as it is busy.

21/07/2025: They make great cakes, sandwiches and more. Yet if your going for a coffee you may be left there. Today while standing for that coffee you had 3 people serving a sandwich bar. Little recognition for those standing at the take away counter.

08/07/2025: The worst tiramisu I have ever had. The layer didn't go well. I felt more like eating a dry tiramisu with not properly layered with cream. And the coffee powder sprinkling was so bad. They use the same base for both biscoff and tiramisu.
03/07/2025: Absolutely amazing! Huge portions at a very low price, full of flavour and protein. One sandwich can feed a starving man! Friendly staff and great service in French Tacos– truly impressed. 🌟

15/07/2025: Always have a good experience at Soma! Especially the location on well road, my favourite spot out of them all. Staff are so lovely they even remembered us from a few days before hand when my mom ordered a mango matcha latte🫣. Really good coffee it’s unlike anywhere else in cork one of a kind.
