18/03/2025: Didn’t have food here, just a pint of Murphy’s passing through. Lovely pint, young lad behind the bar was sound. Can’t fault that! Thanks
09/11/2024: Lovely little pub in a beautiful area, I’ve been going here since I was a kid visiting family, it’s had a lot of work done to improve the local area.
The staff are very friendly and helped direct us to the new playground that’s been installed further down the marina.
Food is excellent, would definitely recommend!

02/04/2025: I was here for my anniversary the staff took us to our table next to the window with a waterfall next to it it has Amazing atmosphere the food is absolutley delicious and at the end of our food we have been greeted with a plate saying happy anniversary it was beautiful from the secund we can in all the way till we came out absolutley recomended and worth a visit
27/03/2025: Incredible experience from start to finish. The food was 10/10 and the service was top notch. Ricardo and the entire staff paid attention to every detail. Will be back!

23/02/2025: Marked low for food since it isn't a focus of the place and is a simple offering.
This is the wine bar of Cork! Others exist but lack all the charm and character of here!! The staff are super helpful for those who only know wine as red or white, and the selection is big and evercharging.
A great and comfortable spot and I recommend it as a place worth being in!

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.
08/10/2024: We grew up with Brian and Duncan salt of the earth the fed the parish badly miss and the there sisters ladies omg they’re father Jackie mrs Lennox ❤️❤️

09/04/2025: Unfortunately, this Restaurant / Bar has really gone downhill. We used to really enjoy going there but this is the last time. 4 of us went for lunch and all meals were of really poor standard. Frozen chips overcooked so could barely eat. You would need a chisel to eat the veg it was so hard. We told the waiter but he wasn't that interested and said he could get us more but at this point we just wanted to leave. Considering the prices are quite high we will not be returning.
08/04/2025: so i have been to barry's for drinks , which i do recommend and the bar is very nice inside and good smoking area at the back, service wasn't the best , ordered a bottle of wine was literally blonked on the table, was a first , so being a gent i poured the wine for my wife . food now in all honesty was terrible except the chips which weren't burnt unlike the duck i had . i would go there again for a drink but over priced pub food in my opinion , and a suggestion to the owner please review your wine list , its very limited

05/04/2025: A great local bar the people In the bar very welcoming and made to know your story price of pint is on point. Quality is brilliant. I love this spot and would highly recommend it to anyone from out of town or travelling around the country. Very nice old school Irish feel to it.

16/02/2025: Edit: this is a 2025 update. 6 years ago, this place was amazing. Now it's truly shocking. Greasy pastries, dishonestly small lunch sandwiches. Huge price increase and slash in quality. It's the truth, and sad.

25/02/2025: Great place that we discovered by chance with friends after school! The atmosphere was very enjoyable and live music was what I expected to find when coming to Ireland. A must come! I will definitely go again.
17/02/2025: Lovely traditional pub in Cork City. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great for a quiet drink. Pizzas can be ordered from Boxt pizza just up the street and eaten in the Abbey Tavern. Definitely worth a visit

28/02/2025: I was refused a "last call" drink and told by the female bar worker that I had already had a drink on the table. Which was true, I had a half finished pint which I bought before closing time. My friends got served and after that, and i finished my drink and left. The bar worker in question will probably not remember me, as that is the kind of quiet person I am, but I will remember the embarrassment caused to me and will never inter that bar again.

16/03/2025: Today, I picked up a loaf of classic sourdough bread (ancient grain) from this bakery, and I have to say - it was absolutely fantastic! The crust was beautifully golden and had the perfect crunch, while the inside was light, airy, and wonderfully chewy. The flavor had that perfect balance of subtle tanginess and deep, rich wheat notes that only a well-fermented sourdough can achieve. It was clear that a lot of skill and patience went into making this bread. Whether enjoyed on its own, with butter, or as the base for a great sandwich, this sourdough was simply top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
13/03/2025: It's the only place where I can get my Danish Rugbrød (yes, that is how you spell it). Good healthy bread bread is so good for your digestion and much healthier than white bread and, above all, more filling, and a loaf lasts a week ( not in my house, though) . But be careful. They do have some very addictive cakes as well. Great coffee, fantastic 6 staff. A good thing is to call them and order in advance if you don't want to go empty-handed. Can not recommend them enough.
