Mr Bradley's

Cork
16/06/2026: Only heard about this on the "Yay Cork" website. Subsequently found out it was the old Quin Ryan local pub in a previous life. Decent beer garden out back and you can order pizza from a place a few doors up and eat it in the pub.

107 Barrack Street

Cork
28/05/2026: The nicest place you can go, practically in the center of Cork. Good coffee, delicious fruitcake, excellent music, unbeatable service, and a covered terrace where you can smoke. The owner is a great guy. Ideal for a relaxing break.
19/02/2026: Got a ham and cheese toastie which was delicious. The food and coffee is cheap but lovely. The owner is a gentleman, can’t recommend this place enough.

The Beer Garden

Cork
03/07/2026: I've been going to the beer garden for 15 years now, and i just want to say, the staff are always fantastic, but I must say I have noticed a drop off in standards when it comes to there food in the last few months, , it is definitely not what it used to be , I would be the 1st person to always recommend the beer garden to people who haven't ate there before, I definitely wont be recommending anyone after todays visit, ive had enough, I can honestly say I probably won't be going there again for food, i hate to admit it, but the quality is just not what it used to be,
31/05/2026: Lovely food, big portions and very tasty, would recommend!

23/04/2026: I liked the atmosphere, the museum itself is small, but interesting and there are lots of interesting staff at the gift shop. The Cafe on the first floor was really tasty.
21/04/2026: Small museum/gallery, but very beautiful; the park setting, the building, and the different exhibitions make it very interesting.

Thompsons Bar & Restaurant

Cork
31/07/2026: Great spot just on the end of McCurtain Street, which is becoming the social hub of Cork City. Good beers and cocktails and great service.
28/07/2026: an incredible experience at Thompsons! From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely outstanding and deserve every one of these five stars. They were warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely made us feel so welcome throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, with perfectly cooked steak and delicious sides, but what really made our visit unforgettable was the kindness of the team. Without any prior knowledge or special request from us, they noticed we were celebrating our daughter’s 11th birthday and went out of their way to make it extra special. It was such a thoughtful gesture and completely unexpected, creating a memory she’ll treasure for a long time. It’s rare to come across service that’s this genuine and heartfelt. The combination of amazing food and truly exceptional staff makes Thompsons one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Cork. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

The Gallery Restaurant

Cork
11/07/2026: Great variety of stores, staff are always helpful and friendly.
30/06/2026: This is my favourite shopping centre. It is very compact and has many choices of business from pharmacy to health store, butcher, phone shops etc Penny's and Tesco ,Easons are main attractions along with many choices of places to eat. We find it very safe especially to allow teenagers to roam freely, and has always security on parole. There's plenty car space s available all around location.

Eco Douglas

Cork
13/05/2026: A busy restaurant, and therefore perhaps a bit overcrowded inside. But I wasn't bothered by other guests. I had the sirloin steak, which was fine. The accompanying vegetables didn't appeal to me as much, but that is a matter of personal taste. In short, the restaurant is worth a visit.
13/05/2026: Delicious food. We went two days in a row, had different foods each time, and everything was delicious! They have great options for gluten free GF, too. Highly recommend!

Mango Cafe & Shop Brookfield

Cork
02/07/2026: The homemade chili oil was exceptional, peerless. And the service was very nice too.
29/06/2026: I recently visited the Mango Cafe and was very happy with my experience! The Thai food was incredibly authentic and tasted amazing! While the prices were a bit higher than I'm used to, the portions were large so it was definitely worth it. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend checking out the Mango Cafe if you're looking for great Thai food! EDIT, in 2026 : they have increased the price even more to £14 per curry which is just too high. I think they will stop customers coming at this high price. I would still go occasionally but not much. It needs to simply be £10 per chicken curry and £12 for beef, and that's it, simple. More than that it's not reasonable, it's sad as the quality is good it's just priced too much at £14

Bella Napoli

Cork
27/07/2026: Firsrt for the good news. Food was all good. No complaints about that whatsoever. Service was EXTREMELY slow. When I rang to make a booking while travelling to Cork, I was directed to make a reservation on their website. There were only a few options left at that stage so I chose 6:30 pm. Booking confirmation stated that the table had to be vacated by 7:55 pm. Got to the restaurant at 6:20. Spotted that there were a number of empty tables and we were directed to a table for 2. Things went rapidly downhill from here. Our order was taken about 20 mins later. We had not ordered a starter but two main courses. While we were waing we noticed that there seemed to be too few waiting staff. The kitchen was obviously under pressure as different tables were not receiving their orders with the same time relative to when they placed their order. When we asked when could we expect our main courses. We were curtly told "It is being plated up" and arrived on our table at 7:35 - no word of apology. At this stage it was over an hour since we sat down. There was no way that we would have been finished before the advised vacate time of 7:55 p.m. It was delicious. Again no sign of any staff once we had finished to clear away the table until we manage to accost one 20 mins later. I reckon that ordering desserts would create more delays so just opted for coffees instead. At that stage I decided to go to the till and pay the bill. I asked if they were under pressure do to unexpected walk-ins. It was confirmed to me that all the tables had been allocated by their reservation system. This should have shown exactly how many staff should be rostered to cover busy periods. This indicates to me that there reservation system is flawed. The worst case interpretation is that insufficient numbers of staff are employed as policy. This experience has made me question if I will return as there is no guarantee of how long service will take before I sit down. Eating out is not about the food but the overall experience for customers as well. This not intended as a rant, just constructive criticism. Spending over 2 hours to just have main courses and coffees IS excessive, when you could probably have turned over the same table within that amount of time. This is ultimately costing you money in the long run.
24/07/2026: Wow! Absolutely amazing. Get the burrata! Also everything else on the menu lol.
