30/08/2026: Stopped in to catch the match and grab a bite, and it couldn't have been better. The steak sandwich and chips were spot on—proper hearty pub food that hits the spot. Fantastic atmosphere for live sport, quick service, and a great pint to go with it. Easily one of the best sports pubs in town.

20/09/2026: Impressive Dinosaur Exhibition Good selection of dinosaurs on display, not just all small ones either but quite large and varied. It was free too (would have gone with the tour but the times didn't suit).

04/11/2026: So glad I discovered this lovely tea shop. They have absolutely gorgeous teas and nice gifts as well. My favourite teas are the Orange & Grapefruit tea and their Earl Grey.

07/09/2026: my mother and I had a wonderful experience with Simon in Brown thomas Cork today showing us the new flavors of the season 🍂🍁🍎 and got to try some wonderful coffees and possibly going home with some new seasons flavors 🥰 and the usual order 👌🏼

10/04/2026: I visited last week with my swiss friend. We were the first customer that day. The owner was kind and nice. It was a bit cold but i could understand that because the bar had just opened. I would visit here soon

15/10/2026: Food was great and the service was too. Bit of confusion regarding our cheeseboard - ordered it for the table to share but we should have specified that we only wanted a serving for one person. The difference being €19 versus €57. Lesson learned for the future as we will be back.

23/08/2026: Completely closed down for at least the next 2 weeks it seems. With no warning posted online its quite disappointing. Especially when the marina market is so much more conveniently located with better selection and quality.

30/10/2026: We were in here last year having just moved to Ireland from Japan. My husband had a fifty euro note that the owner refused to take and said no business in the area would accept. We were fine with that and paid by card. We went to the Cajun sandwich shop down the road straight after and the owner there had no issue taking the note. It was a bit of a strange interaction and welcome to Ireland really, the guy at the coffee shop asked where we had got it from and we felt a bit like criminals! To be fair we had just moved across the world with a nine month old baby so probably weren’t looking our best! It was a big culture shock having just stepped foot in Ireland from Japan where this kind of interaction would never happen. Needless to say we never returned.

25/09/2026: Prices, well that's the first thing, we all want to know €6.80 is a starting price for a pint, here, add a burger extra €14. A side of chips another extra €7.. cost of living or loving a pint burger and chips for one.... almost €30 or more So that's prices off the main thouro streets and pub grubs here. A great pub spacious and in the heart of the City. Not far from St Patrick's Street.. Great for food, sports, relaxing and a tea or a coffee, large screens and Tvs. I got the mother clucker love the name yumm, hate the spice on the clucker to hot. If you like hot hot spicey food it's for you. I didn't enjoy it. So make sure your chocie. TV screens very good, seating for the day very good. Staff top service, prices are expensive again very costly to watch a match have a few pints and meal. A meal deal pints food entertainment in these harsh times would be welcomed from the single person or a group of four or more. Options needed here deal days. €14 a burger €7 a chip portion add pints. On top of a great venue a few minutes walk from the City Centre. With bands music and more. Over all 5 stars here the interior the choices the staff the space. Under €7 for a pint can be purchased here. When the average price is €6.40. The pub hold quizzes etc and other social events. Games, social events , it caters for any social events, a nice addition. Well worth a visit. Situated at the foot of a historic bridge.

29/09/2026: Lovely café that is very relaxed. Great vegetarian options and good additional meat options as well. Friendly staff and good coffee. All breakfast choices are under 10 euro. What else could you want.

05/10/2026: I'm a regular at this bar over 30 years and what I seen tonight was not good. I came in to listen to the trad music and watch the Irish game and to my disappointment they would not show the Irish game because the manager of the bar had a political view and said they are showing the Portugal game instead. I watched as one lad asked them why wouldn't they show it and the bar staff laughed thinking it was funny . I think about 10-15 people left the bar to watch it elsewhere . I have no political view but I wanted to watch the match I stayed as I watched the atmosphere die . Great bar but not nice tonight.
